FYI: According to both the owner's manual and the factory service manual, the oil level is supposed to be checked with the dipstick screwed all the way in, not just flush with the top of the filler.
The fact that the Z has a replaceable oil filter has me sold over the Grom. Maybe hold off on reinstalling the fairing until you run it and sure there's no leaks there?
im mixed about it. i liked it at first but when i started researching low displacement engines for bikes and scooters i learned its kind of weird to have an oil filter and normally its just a screen and or magnet. Considering most people are not going to really takes these past 10k miles I see it as kind of a nuances. and the people who do often know what they are doing.
@@pleasedontwatchthese9593 I bet you'll see these go past 10k with gas prices going the way they are. Come winter with europe sucking more russian fuel to heat their homes, I'm sure our fuel costs will go up.
the oil dip stick needs to be screwed all the way in to measure oil level, also stand the bike straight up centered to measure oil level not on kick stand
I have bought 1 that was imported from US to Malta ,I got lucky cause it's the only one thats in my country love it ,I didn't want the grom cause there are so many here .
@@marvinfenech7138 congrats buddy it must be a nice bike!!! I saw a few small z125’s with registration/ license plate- Spain at the the WSBK races. May it’s possible to get an import registration for good money but all this Euro emission stuff is BS

Your right, I double checked with the user manual
Came here for this
Quick and to the point! Torque also given, just what I needed. Great video thanks

Thanks for the straight to the point video. About to change my oil right now. 🤙
I wait to put the mini fairing back on, until I have started it and checked for leaks.
Is there a gasket for the filter cover?

Where can I find another gasket ?
Is it on its side stand? It doesn’t have a center stand. Or are you using jack or a bike stands?
It only has a side stand. As for the video I'm not sure what they used.
They said remove the 2 8mm bolts holding the filter housing, then said to replace the 2 10mm bolts. That woops moment
Glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed
So they’re 8mm then?
Yes
How often is the oil change suppose to be? New to bikes in general picked up a lightly used 2021 Kawasaki z125 with 115 miles. It’s currently at 135.
around like 700 miles
When should I do my first oil change on my 2022 Kawasaki Z125 pro it’s at 510 miles right now ?
Yeah, around 600 miles is when you should do the fist one so 510 is fine.
When is the first time you should change the oil for a new z125? What is the miles for the first change
100
600 miles for first change. every 7.6k miles after that
I changed at 100 then 400 and I'll do every 1k after that.... it's what I've always done on all my bikes 🤷🏼♂️
@@pleasedontwatchthese9593 NOT 600!!!! 100-150.
@thechampagneroom1 I have a brand new one and the book says 100-150 for first oil change
Only 1 litre for a change ?
What's the frequency per the manual?
12km or 7.6k miles is what the user manuals says
One quart or 1000ml 🤔
Would like to ride the tiny laws but it’s not available in Europe 🤯 ...Emission regulations ...
Enjoy the bike life guy’s 🤙
Who would think such a tiny bike would fail the emissions across the pond. Stay safe though
In the EU I think you all have a different bike also called the Z125 that makes like double the power. I wish we had those in the states.

Fml.. broke my bolt for the filter cover 😢😢😢
That self-loathing sinking feeling :-( been there... 4 manifold bolts on an e-150
Still waiting for John...
What exactly are you waiting for? John puts out videos every week.
10mm socket u mentioned but socket ur using has an 8mm on it😂😂😂😂
