Another scary thing is drafting if your drafting and the guy in front of you hits the brakes his car will slow down alot faster due to the drag. I know from experience at 140 I had to pop out from the draft or smash into the the car in front of me.

Sometimes lanes are blocked or are diverted to other lanes during construction for a reason. Construction goes on at all hours of the day its not always during daylight. Many times there are shutdowns at night during periods of less traffic. Sometimes workers are present on the shoulders, sometimes workers are doing things overhead, sometimes workers are placing cones and barriers, sometimes workers put up signs, sometimes workers direct traffic, sometime workers are operating machinery and sometimes there are workers loading and unloading material. So when you carelessly speed through these areas 99% of the time nothing happens. That 1% is when someones life is taken when say you cause an accident or lose control of your vehicle. That 1% will either cause a life altering disability or death. So again show some respect for the people that make your daily commute a better experience.
