Both Cesar and Ashley origins from Puerto Rico, where the spanish version was HUGE back then. Heads up on coming release this Friday. It's now official to mention. VoicePlay does Be Prepared with Geoff in lead as Scar and former founding member Mykal Kilgore as guest, he was in VP back in 1998. I have never seen a patreon performance so many times before release, not even Nothing Else Matters.
We expect Cesar to speak/sing in Spanish. But it gets a little strange during VoicePlay’s Q & A’s when Cesar and Eli start conversing in Japanese. (They both did a year at Universal Studios in Japan but at different times) It’s great to have Eli in the rotation for being in charge of videos this year. We’ve long known that Geoff brings the great harmonies and Layne brings great rhythms and fast changes (and fun) to the music. But Eli always seems to bring the heart.
There's a popular spanish version by Lissette, first released around 1985. Both Cesar and Ashley are from Puerto Rico, and speak spanish. Thanks, Ethan!
Both Ashley and Cesar were childhood friends in Puerto Rico before their families moved to the Orlando area. (Please do VPs Be Prepared which just dropped!) For the Spanish: Ashley: De vez en cuando siento que me estas olvidando y que no regresaras. De vez en cuando pienso que ya estoy muy cansada. De estar sola y de escucharme llorar. From time to time I feel that you are forgetting me and that you will not return. From time to time I think that I am already very tired. Of being alone and hearing myself cry. Singers: Mira mis ojas. Look at my eyes. Cesar: De vez encuando siento enloquecer. From time to time I feel crazy. Cesar: Eclipse total del amor. Total eclipse of love.
As is Ashley! Apparently when they were young, this was a popular song in Puerto Rico, done as a duet (in Spanish). That apparently inspired ideas in VoicePlay’s version.
Ethan, would you please do a reaction video to Voice Plays new Halloween cover song " Thriller " by Michael Jackson ? They will blow you away with this one. Especially Geoff.
VoicePlay explores other languages. That's funny. Lol. The King Has Returned from Once Upon an Ever After has them singing in Zulu. Moana Medley has them singing Polynesian. Boy Bands in Five Minutes has Eli singing in Korean. And that's not even all of it. Yes, they don't explore much... but when they do.... it's always perfection.

This was Eli's project storyboard, set, etc. He sent his plan for the arrangement to Rob Dietz who does a lot of their minis.
Cesar did the costumes.

As someone who speaks Spanish fluently, I love the Spanish verse in this arrangement. It's such a wonderful addition and really makes it their version

Ceasar is from Puerto Rico
Which would explain his fantastic Spanish... Thanks for this tidbit!

Don't forget Dragonborne Comes when they sing in the dragon language.
