@@EthanDrewMusic I usually give a second chance. But, obviously no change. That's enough for me.
How reactions get turned into know it all lectures by people who love to hear themselves talk and dominate the attention away from the art and turn it into science class...issuing banal critique over pickiune points of nothingness.... I fail to understand. What happened to the personal affect of the art or the noted talent of the artist? Creative works become nothing more than elements. No soul. So savoring of the art. No personal connection. Just cold anatomy and science. Says a lot about the "reactor". Best of luck. Today you will find plenty others like you. Unfortunately. Chow

@@EthanDrewMusic I saw an interview of Dimash in which he said that his English is better, not good but better, and he's still trying to learn Mandarin. Of course, everyone knows that he speaks totally fluent Kazakh and Russian 💕
I would say that his English is much better now. If you watch his 2019 solo concert in New York where he spoke in between songs in English throughout his show, and compare it with his last solo concert in Hong Kong in December 2023.. you'll see how much he has improved 🥰

He premiered this new song in the Hong Kong concert last year composed while he was living in LA last year. He apparently wrote 5 new songs during that time, co-produced with Dimytro Gordon who gave a very interesting interview on the process of working with Dimash on these two extremely different songs. One being very modern and electronic and the other being more traditional rock/blues with real instruments although it is Dimash playing the dombra on this particular track.

This is his original song composed by Dimash, please don't say its a cover if you don't know. I understand you may watch others that rely on singing covers but Dimash has written his own songs for many years. On this song the strings, both of them are on Dimash's Dombra which he plays on this song. You need to know that Dimash is a world famous artist with fans from most countries in the world. He is currently on a world tour with his "Stranger" solo stadium tour, next concerts are 4th May in Budapest, Hungary then 24th May is his huge 30th birthday concert in Istanbul, Turkey, others to be announced. His name is Qudaibergen no ov unless you are saying his name in Russian which I guess you dont speak. Dimash speaks English quite well, he has a lovely Kazakh accent which is not so strong, we, his Dears love his beautiful accent and is only slight. He is human though, he sometimes makes small mistakes but he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently and is pretty well fluent in English. He has sung in 15 languages so far. He often sings a song of the country his concert tours take him. His concerts are epic. There is an official video of Smoke coming up soon. Most likely Dimash came up with the plot, the action etc, and he normally works closely with the director to make sure that his vision was made perfectly. He not only composes his own songs, he has his ideas put into English lyrics. He is also a skilled music producer, does his own music production, has his own creative centre, production company, and record label. On this one and most of his songs he layers his own voice for the backing vocal/choir, as he can sing in any octave it makes sense and sounds incredible. He also likes to include traditional Kazakh instruments in all his music, sometimes subtle sometimes as a featured instrument. This time, not what you though was a guitar, Dimash played his Dombra on the song as he said could hear it in his head when playing the song back so added it to great effect. He plays the dombra expertly, I think it sounds great. Btw the dombra has just 2 strings and its a type of lyre from Kazakhstan.❤ Dimash doesn't use pitch correction he doesn't need it ❤ Dimash is an extremely intelligent young man who is highly educated both academically and musically from the age of 5 up to his PhD which he should finish soon. He is also a multi instrumentalist ❤ Dimash is widely recognised as the greatest vocalist on the planet ❤

If you listen to Unforgettable Day the Gaku version in that one he goes from a C8 to a D8 which is of the piano. He doesn’t use auto tune. He’s the best and continually works on getting better. He is also an instrumentalist, masters in composition. Many of his songs are composed by him or if in another language he gives other composer the idea of what he wants to convey in his songs. The Story of One Sky took him about 3 years to compose the music and got help when writing the lyrics to English. He has about 25 years of music school and working on his doctorate in musicology. He also has voice lessons and practices every day. Plus he also prepares for his concerts and shows and practice with his band and friends.

But you're right that since he sings in15-20 different languages so far, he does need to memorize the pronunciation. His native tongues are Kazakh and Russian.

If I was honest, yes Dimash speaks English a whole lot better than he did in “I am Singer,” contest.
But he is not all that confident in his conversational speaking as he shows in the Virtuoso contest he was recently a judge in. And I have heard him admit that.
But as he has really improved, we can tell he keeps getting better and better, as his latest mv’s show.
He has even improved since his “One Sky,” mv.
      I know he will continue!😊
      I love his vocals!

Subscribed from Chile!! I loved your reaction, I just wish I didn't have to wait another year for another reaction. I strongly recommend that you check out his MASTERPIECE, it took him 3 years to compose it along with a music video that seems like a short film worthy of any film festival, there he puts all his voices, colors, tones, ranges with lyrics that are basically a call to peace. His English is at a conversational level. Of course with an accent and he gets some small things wrong, but he gets help on his English for studio recordings so his pronunciation should be solid and mostly accurate. And yes. This is an original song. He does relatively few covers these days as he only really did it to help him achieve his initial fame. I'd recommend not assuming something is a cover unless you know the original

I appreciate your comment and correction to my statements! I am human and can/do get things wrong, so it is useful to both me and my audience to understand what is fact over what is not fact.
I welcome corrections when I make false statements; though, just know that I am an imperfect being creating imperfect videos on the internet. I am a self-confirmed idiot at times, so I appreciate your viewership and patience with me as a content creator. 😁

@@EthanDrewMusic great response...... Dimash is growing into a pretty remarkable composer & producer but he's transitioned into this so it's normal to assume this could be a cover b/c he's covered so many great songs & reproduced them to his specifications...... Luv your analysis - you really drill down & educate - there are so many Dimash haters who reduce him to his range when he is so much more (as you point out)

Excuse me! Dimash does speak English. Not perfect of course, but enough to hold a conversation. Please check your facts. Yours are about 5 years old

👉Wow!! How can you not fall in love with Dimash when he appears as a 'bad boy' in (devilish) red with sensual movements and makes the girls dance for him like on strings... and that voice! It gets into you and you become addicted and just want more Dimash.
The song's premiere took place on December 23, 2023 at Dimash's STRANGER concert in Hong Kong.
