- Опубликовано: 23 авг 2024
- Curious what cruise ship food is like? We sailed on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas and spent our week cruising the Caribbean and trying as many dining options as we could, just to answer that question. 😉

Best thing about buffets! You can totally mix it up.😋
so true!
The campfire cookie for the win! It looked so yummy! But I would’ve wanted five of the milk shooters 🤣
My understanding about Pavlova, which I first saw at my wedding reception in England, is that it was named after a ballerina in Australia 🩰 🇦🇺
how cool! my first serious career ambition was to be a dancer/choreographer, so that makes me love it even more!
You can eat everything 😂 but honestly when we cruised a lot we didn’t eat unhealthy when we went cruising! We love Windjammer and the restaurant! There are so many options to eat! There were time when it was 10 pm and we were still snacking with the kids 😂 Royal Caribbean food is delicious! Our favorite cruise line.
I was trying to be more healthy this time - more salads, not ordering every course, etc - but it’s so hard when there are so many options! 😩
I just found y'all. Love the energy and enthusiasm that you bring to your videos. A lot of great info. Thanks.
Thank you! Were happy you found us. 😊
My dinner choice the first night would have been: salad + cheese plate + key lime pie ;-)
That breakfast buffet was a mile long! This demonstrates why Ian doesn't want to go on a cruise... he says he couldn't have self control in the face of all that unlimited food and he would gain 15 pounds!
he could jump it off on the bungee trampolines afterwards! it’s all about balance. 😉
Yum!!! Always lots of food on a cruise ship. Oh how we miss cruising ( thanks for reminding us guys) on the good side, We've just started getting the ships back in Australia. So hopefully we will book one soon. For now we're getting ready to come visit the U.S. in august. Thanks for sharing your video with us 😊. Have a great day 😀
how exciting! Where will you be in the U.S.?
@@StephenandAndie very exciting. We're starting in LA, disneyland, then parts of route 66, grand canyon, Vegas then back to LA.
@@kevinandange love it! If you need any L.A. tips (like don’t try to cover too much ground in one day), let us know. It’s our home town! you can always dm us on instagram, too. 😄
@@StephenandAndie great to know.
@@StephenandAndie great to know.
So much food!!! Some of the Starbucks in bookstores are like that too. They say they "are not a Starbucks, they just proudly brew Starbucks coffee." When you go to east Africa you will see hand washing stations outside of each restaurant lol.
TOO much food - lol. And I cringe when I think about how much food waste comes from each sailing. But as a passenger, people want options and quantity, and the cruise companies deliver. East Africa is definitely onto something. I mean now that we have hand sanitizer at every entrance everywhere here, it’s a logical and practical next step.
The risotto looked great! I really sympathize with your motion sickness issues, Andie! Sorry that happened ☹️
Thanks for sharing...we embark next month
Awesome! Where are you cruising? Have the best time, and thanks for watching!
@@StephenandAndie 5 day Mariner of the seas from Galveston. Our first time embarking from Texas 🤩
Well, that was fun and informative. I liked how you, at the beginning of the video, explained in detail the differences in the food options on both cruises you've been on. In the end, you guys are completely entitled to say the service was bad! It's not like you guys are snobby, as you always give an honest and truthful review. It was day 7, right? Maybe the crew was ready to get home 😀
thanks, guys. we try not to be those entitled Americans when we travel. But I do have higher standards for more corporate entities and global brands. 🤷🏻♀️ in the end I got my freakin cookie, and there’s a joke in there somewhere. 😆
Loved this video! Boarding this Ship in a week and can’t wait to try all this food! Especially the Campfire Cookie 🤤
Thanks, how exciting! If they give you a hard time ordering the campfire cookie, tell ‘em we said that’s bullsh**! 😜
@@StephenandAndie hahah we got you. No one comes between us and our cookies!
Well I don’t know how I missed this one?! My favorite subject… FOOD! 💕💕
Well we're glad you caught up with this one, no matter when! We would have loved to feature some pizza for ya, but it was pretty forgettable, unfortunately.
Everything looks sooooooo good! Thanks for sharing. Now I’m hungry!
goal accomplished! 😋
Escargots with garlic-parsley butter are an option?! OH MY!!! When I went on the Norwegian cruise the food was included even for the fancy restaurants, guess who came back with extra baggage?! lol
haha! hmmm, I wonder... we didn't try the escargots on this one, but we did on our Alaska cruise. They were okay.
It has been reported all cruise lines are short staffed , those working are pulling double shifts
that would be a fair explanation for the service issues. thanks for letting us know!
I wanna see ALL THE FOOD!!!
I used to really love Jamie's Italian when the chain first opened in Britain. I got the most amazing pasta dish there the first time I visited. But on a second visit it wasn't as good... and then I think a lot of the restaurants closed. Too bad!
yeah, I read that they all closed except in the ships. the food we had was really good!
The salmon looked amazing Stephen! Cruising seems like an expensive dinning experience
It really can be! But honestly, it's all resort/theme park quality food, so you can easily just eat at the included restaurants and not pay an extra cent. I'd rather spend the money at a really good restaurant on land, personally, than a moderately better (and ultimately overpriced) restaurant at sea. But we do it for the content. 😉
Is the dining room food complimentary? Going on a cruise for the first time in August!
It has been on the cruises we’ve been on! check with your specific booking to make sure, but in our experience dining at certain locations was included, while other locations on the same ship charged extra. have an awesome time on your cruise! where are you going?
We're going to West Caribbean. Cozumel & Costa maya from Galveston!
ugh we have had similar issues with content we lose. It's mostly been with a GOPRO when we lose or can't use content which sucks!
It's the worst! But that's what I get for letting it go for so long after the fact. Just another reminder that I need to catch up and post sooner after we travel, and also double check everything we shoot each day at the end of shooting. Activating type-A personality!
All right, Andrea, you’re accusing other people of being drunk there at the end, but you thought your name was Stephen! Look who’s talking? Lol
I think I had a stroke there. 🤪
@@StephenandAndie it was funny
Cảm ơn những chia sẻ của bạn rất hay, chúc bạn một ngày tốt lành.
thanks for watching.
We never splurged on the chef's table, looks good though
We’re right there with ya. It does look like a nice experience for those that would appreciate it!
Ty for the video we needed it
you’re welcome, Marie - thanks for watching!
Was Night Ranger actually on your ship?
@@MrGMountain yeah! it was an 80s cruise, so there was a bunch of awesome bands on the ship and performing all week. they do it every year, and it was sooooooo fun!

@@StephenandAndie wow. I need to get my friends in on this. Thx.
HEY! I spy our stickers (in your office)!! 🥤♥
yes! and your postcard is here, too! 😄
Oh wow! How you broke your meatless streak. We notice a difference in eating beef in USA and Mexico we always feel heavy in USA. Same thing with pork, except Kevin's stomach cannot handle pork in Mexico.
whoa - interesting! I wonder why U.S. beef is heavier? It tastes weird to us now, after going so long without it. Not bad, but definitely not something we're likely to crave again anytime soon.
OK, I never eat beef anymore, and if I wanted to splurge on something I would absolutely positively definitely not get prime rib! It grosses me out. If I am going to eat beef it has to be really well done and not pink at all…
I totally get that. We should have just skipped it, but now we know. 🤷🏻♀️
WHERE'S THE BEEF!!?? Oh, there it was 😆
😂 I don’t know what possessed us that day…
Chihuahua is definitely Mexican. Indian cheese is paneer 😉
you know your cheeses! no surprise there…
Did the prime rib at least taste good?
I think it tasted like it was supposed to… it just isn’t that good to me anymore.
🤩🤩❤
U didn't show alotbof the food u ate
RC / Princess have the best food, we are fans of all we ate every cruise., ...carnival, not so much, found their food bland , not so fresh, price matters i guess when choosing a cruise line
good to know! We’ve heard good things about the food on the new Virgin cruises (and we also like that they’re adults-only). Maybe we’ll try them next!
