In this clip, Sauce Money discussed some of the tracks he hopped on with JAY-Z. He specifically talked about the track "Face Off" which he considers to be a club anthem. Sauce Money also talked about the lack of respect JAY-Z received for Vol. 1 as many didn't respect it the way they did Reasonable Doubt. For Sauce Money, Hov's career was saved by dropping Streetz Is Watching which got the streets back in Jay's corner.Later on, Sauce Money and Vlad discuss whose verse they most enjoyed from the classic cypher track "Reservoir Dogs" on Vol 2...Hard Knock Life featuring himself, The Lox, and Beanie Sigel.
Who remembers that ‘Streets is Watching’ movie? Classic!
Wolf Tickets4Sale I’ve never seen it man
I watched it everyday as a teenager
The more i watch it i realize how classic it is. I saw that movie very young so when i saw the club scene (Face Off) i was like why is this here. But after watching again and again i realized why (not gonna say why for the ppl who didnt watch it)
@@SantinoCorleon1 I had to beg my pops for that tape
It is I had it when I was a teenager
Lyrically...Vol 1 is one of his best records.
A Million and One
City is Mine
SIW
Imaginary Players
Who U Wit.
His wordplay on this album is top notch, 97-01 HOV was different!
Talk about it! His BEST album, bar for bar song for song.
Ain't nuthing for me to bus a tre off murder the whole month of April just to take may off
Fire
He was just being humble he clearly had the best first
Eric Wright classic verse
Word!
Eric Wright he murdered it
Big props to Sauce Money for pointing out Sheek. Mad slept on. Sheek been spitting crazy hard.
Jada my personal fav out the lox but sheek got the best catalogue front to back from that trio. Styles P’s gangsta and a gentleman tho the best solo album out the group
Tru
@White Rob super duper faxxx
@MrLEATHERFACE83 agree 100%
Sheek is great at painting pictures,he does it best out the group. Styles & Jada are the most lyrical, but Sheeks strength is his pictures
Jay-Z somewhere watching all these sauce money clips closely.
😂😂😂Facts, he sweating like kelz cause I Know Sauce Money wrote Suntin back in the day 4 him that was "Big" i bet my money on it...he 2 Quiet lol
@@quellyfields7592 😂😂😂 sweating like Kelz
@Westside Buddy Not if he dont wanna lose what he got now.
Quelly Fields lets make a bet then
Tony Black these niggas is clowns for real.
Man going through these comments and reading over all the people who rock with Sauce Money makes me happy for dude. Glad to see more people than I thought respect Sauce.
Reservoir Dogs did more for Beans at the time than anyone besides Jay.
Facts
Yall niggaz nuts like testicles
Hmm... weird because to me he had the weakest verse.
@@FidoeFTW Nigga slap yo self✋
NoNameforNow u all the way buggin... boy might’ve had the best verse..
Love how Vlad spends the whole interview talking about Jay. Unless I missed it in the first 2 parts, how about asking Sauce to get in depth about his OWN career? Ask what went wrong with the labels, if he thought Middle Finger U was his best work? How did he feel being in Jay's shadow? His relationship with Jay, Bleek etc in 2019? What is he currently up to? Stuff like that. Most of us who grew up in the 90s know Sauce track record. Lyrically, dude was ahead of his time (listen to Bring it on). That's the first track I turn to anytime I listen to RD.
Anyway, glad to see dude is still around.
He covered all this in the interview. You muthfuckas love to complain it was only part 3
3yrs late but this is as close Vlad will ever get to Jay
In my lifetime is a dope album...classic
FACTS!
It was okay but the weakest out of all of Jay's albums. He had some tough tracks on there, but with that album you was on skip mode because of those punk ass puffy produced songs that sauce money just mentioned.
In My Lifetime is my favorite Jay-Z album ever besides Reasonable Doubt. It only had 1 weak song
No
Yea it is...Im not understanding why people hate it so much..yea it had some "pop" appeal but it was all in all a solid album!!
Reservoir Dogs, Banned From TV, Fantastic Five 1 & 2, Blackout and Keepin' it Gangsta remix was some of the best squad bangers during that era
24 hours, niggaz done started something
Sauce is a beast

@@ArtisanWindchimes is sheek overrated?
@@hoodatheist5549 I wouldn't say he's overrated because everybody already knows that it's 1 Styles, 2 Jada, 3 Sheek
@@ArtisanWindchimes lol, well it's not like they had a 5th person. He still comes in last.
"Since my rolley was a gift....its no better time than the present!"😎✌✌✌
Sauce Money is easily one of the most underrated top tier lyricists of all time. He’s in the same category as AZ.
Yeah
Completely agree bruh.
Agreed
Agreed
The same category as AZ??? That’s a stretch
Reservoir Dogs is a lyrical beast and classic!!!

"Reservoir Dogs" was definitely a bar-fest, everyone killed that shit! Can't be mad at Sauce for liking Sheik's verse the best, he set it off nice. Especially when he said "if I ain't strapped that means I took em off my Nike Airs"
Sheek Louch on "Reservoir Dogs" 🔥🔥🔥

I'm interested to know if TK Kirkland helped him in anyway.
🤣🤣🤣
TK Kirkland paid for Sauce Money's studio time back in the day and let him sleep on his couch😂😂😂
😂😂😂🤣🤣
Ya'll young bulls funny asf😂😂, that man be looking out for real tho!!
Lmao “u know i mentored Sauce before the weight gain”
Vol. 3 is slept on
Go back Sauce Money had the best verse hands down
He was just be humble lol
FACTS & I met him & his brother in 2015 @ this spot in Bedstuy called Essence & I heard that the latter part of his “Reservoir Dogs” verse is partially what hurt his career!!!! This is the verse: “Run w/ more Germans than Adolf, you light crews. Now I concentrate on your camp, like Jews!”........FKD UP!!!
Facts! 💯
This is a real lyricist. Much respect ✊
Dope. Sauce was one of the best back in the day. Pre Game still on repeat!
Don’t forget “banned from TV”. That was a crazy commercial cypher
Jason Simon nore is one of my favorite rappers but even I know he not bar heavy and that is why it can’t compare to reservoir dogs
That was me and the homies shit.
Banned from TV was a little earlier
Nature killed banned too...
The fact Lox on both and pun cam nature and lox bodied banned , makes it better...and the beat...
I LOVE Vol 1 except for I Know What Girls Like. That's the album that made me a Jay fan. Banger after banger
And that's the same album that made me start to like his music less. I was so impressed during his underground years that I could hear how he was sort of dumbing down the style so others could catch up. I understood why but I was still salty at the time lol
Facts take that song off and the album stands neck and neck with any of his best albums
@@ispeakmuchohe has some real street bangers on this album:
Intro: A Million And One Questions
City Is Mine
Imaginary Player
Streets Is Watching
Friend or Foe '98
Lucky Me
Who You Wit II
Face Off

You Must Love Me
Exactly. That song was Jay's worst song of his career but either then that..the whole Vol 1 album is straight classic
Don't forget about Sunshine. They could've put that joint on Foxy album
I give it to sauce money on reservoir dogs

Super #RESPECT to this guy for saying Sheek's verse was his favorite
I wouldn't even argue that. Sheek SPAZZED. Sauce's verse was memorable
That "concentrate on your camp like Jews" line was RIDICULOUS
Sauce went so hard on that "Reservoir Dogs", WOW!
Sauce #underrated
This interview is s important, Shout out to Vlad and Sauce! #throwbackhiphop
“Lucky Me” “Imaginary Prayers” Volume 1
Carlos McMillian lucky me one of my fav hov songs
Why does everyone hate on In My Lifetime so much? That album was raw af to me. I personally think it's Jay's best album aside from Reasonable Doubt. I used to write my own songs to that album all the time back in the day👍🎧
@Max Power Quit? I still write to old school Jay-Z. I just posted a new song a week ago
Imaginary player was a banger
💯
Some of Jays best songs are in that album
‘Streets is Watching’, ‘Friend or foe 2’ killer tracks!!
In my lifetime is underrated
Resevoir Dogs...dopest posse cut since Scenario remix...hard to pick a favorite verse...it depends on how im feeling when im listening to it...but damn man Sheik did his thing...he killed on that...and he killed that Tommys Theme with The Lox and Made Men...
Facts
Sauce Money killed that verse
He did he so underrated as a rapper
Sauce is a BEAST... every track he rips and gives it his all. I never really seen his face so this is good to see and also he is definitely one of my favorite feature artist. No disrespect but that is where I know him from.
You never really seen his face cause he's "camera shy"
trackmasters produced face off on vol.1 in 97. reservior dogs was on vol.2 (98) and was GHOST PRODUCED by Rockwilder but was credited to Erick Sermon. jay found out rock actually made the beat and that lead to rock producing on vol.3 including "Do It Again" which was the lead single (99). sauce and hov havent made a song together since 2000 (Face Off Pt.2).
@Johnathan Thacker its actually on Wikipedia now but i heard it from erick sermon on drink champs. Rockwilder confirmed it. I get what your saying about rock's sound being more keyboard based but he samples as well like he did on the stuff he did with redman or "Stop, Chill" on beans 1st album.
@Johnathan Thacker true. I think ES may have touched it in someway before it got to HOV. Shout out to Rockwilder. Met him back in 03 #QueensGetTheMoney
SM on Jay new album..can we get a vote..
You got my vote there !
Name Eman Think 1st Do you know who totally inspired Jay to write 4:44 that he will probably never mention. You probably don't know but I will give you a clue, it was on their last project and it was a song called, No Religion. After you find the song and listen to the project in its entirety you will now know that Jay decided to grow the fuck up after all these years but the project will not be on replay cuz you nights want elementary shit.BTW Beyoncé's,Lemonade and Jays 4:44 was a publicity stunt also
Dude matched wits with jay on every single track! FACTS!
See how calm he be tho? That’s a dude who got absolutely nothing to prove at all ,
we know exactly who you are big Sauce!
Sauce's verse on "Reservoir Dogs" is my best though. "Something to prove, spit it, we can have a spray-off/
... Murder the whole month of April, just to take May off;" "Roll with more Germans than Adolf;" "Whips hotter than the shits they beat slaves with."
The Streets is watching CD and DVD was dope.. one of my favorite songs he ever did is Called Your Only a Custmer ( LL Cool J in the Hook) He did a good job telling a story of moving fast in the streets and painting pictures innthe song .. Also the MARY Jane Girls sample : All Night Long was dope ... almost like the dude was speaking life into his future : Top 5 in the Forbes Your sell.. And Take Flight .. My Life Like it’s Directed by Hype in 35 Slow- MO with the Roc- A- Fella Logo ....
Joe Harris Entrepreneur Developer produced by Irv GOTTi ... Rick James moon child was the main sample
I was just listening to Sauces joint on the soul in the hole soundtrack
Sauce Money is a fucking samurai on the mic!!! He is a true master and not to be played with. He has held his own with the best of them. Hall of Fame EMCee
Is this a Sauce Money interview or a Jay Z one?
Volume 1 was no pop album that album was hard real heads know
Somebody knows what's up! Thank you
Nawww it wasn't compared to his other project
It was hard if you sold crack at that time you was slappin that tape all day. The single sunshine was trying to compete with bad boy but the album was crazy and was the best jay album next to reasonable doubt
So true. That movie was a great move.
One of my favorite songs of all time. I was 15 and the hottest song and album at that time.
I was the same age😂😂
Sauce money had the best verse!
This dudes pen game was the best in the game at one time. Boy I miss this dude.
Yo son we here to talk about Sauce Money or Jay-Z?
Ya heard!
STIZZY McNAST i thought it was juuuu hurd b
Love that Sauce gave props to Sheek! Sheek gets slept on but always kills
He definitely had the best verse on Reservoir Dogs. A song full of heavy hitters
VLAD youve exceeded your lifetime allowance for using the word "DOPE" in the first 5 mins of thid video.
Out of all the lines on Reservoir Dogs, that line stood out to Vlad
Martin Luck LMMFAO I was like; yeah ok 👌🏾 Vladimir you’re reaching!
This is crazy talk, there's 3 pop/diddy type songs on there. Literally everything else is hot, one of his hardest songs, or a classic song.
Eric Sermon did produce Reservoir Dogs, but he said he was called in after someone tried to loop the Shaft sample and couldn't get it to loop on tempo. It was on Combat Jack.
Dope ass record.. Crazy,... Dope ass record... Crazy
Styles, line, when he said "shooting backwards just for the practice." That was probably one of the best cyphers, in hip hop. Everybody, did there thing. Still, to this day one of my favorite songs. And the beat knocks!
Reservoir Dogs is a classic
2:37 to 2:44 facts jay z and sauce money had a great and underrated chemistry on songs together. Sort of like snoop and Tupac they just go well going back and forth with each other
Hard Knock's Life had like 7 goddamn singles... thats when I finally gave him a chance... 1998, then went back and peeped the first two... always loved "Who You Wit" but listened to 1st two albums. How can u deny one album w 7 singles? shit
In my lifetime my fav jay album till this day. Was the album after the goat big passed wit bad boy all over it. #StreetsIsWatching
idk why ppl think jayz on biggie level . biggie was making notorious thugs , hypnotize and long kiss goodnight when this is what jayz had at the time . not even close . jayz not on that man’s level .
🎶This Goes Out To My Brooklyn Crew Put Ya Hands Up In The Air If Ya Feel Me🎶 Yeah Vol.1 Lyrically Was Slept On......

Resevoir Dogs Classic...He killed it....They all killed it..Jay came off and beans...Can I get a was Ja Rule record at first from what I heard...

Wtf is Vlad smokin ? Sauce Money had the most stand out verse on that track....he bodied everybody.
I love vol 1..
Streets is watching that’s what changed WORD.
Sheek louch definitely had the best verse on that track...Sauce a G for admitting that
"Whips fatter than the sh*ts they beat slaves with", that was a one line song killer!
Every hip hop conversation, you can see that Vlad got no clue bout hip hop history outside of Oakland.
Vol 1 made me a HOV fan
Lil Jon's Grand finale is one of the best cypher records of all time too.
Vlad been snapping with the interviews
I actually liked Vol. 1 better than Vol. 2
Super like
Sheek Killed that cipher
I think reservoir dogs every vs was fire and even as far as best💯
That was dope album
All of them was great, but Sauce money came with that 🔥. Just listen to what Sauce was spitting. Song is just " CLASSIC"
Cough up a lung! Where Im I'm from....
Some things you say. Show who you are! Lucky me, imaginary players, streets is watching, friends or foe and what can beat snyones best album track 'where im from' . He put pop tracks on it but an album by someone else with that
Vol 1 is Jay Z best album, Yall Gotta Listen to “Streets is Watching” “Lucky Me” “The City Is Mine” great project

Volume 1 is arguably Jay's best album, track for track. It was marketed wrong.
Sheek was always my favorite on that track glad somebody gave sheek some credit
All of those guys came to work that day. Classic.
Sauce and Beans smashed that track. But styles said he be shootin backwards... just 4 practice 😱😱😱
Fire
Styles P had the illest lines to me on that joint.
Soon as they said resevoir dogs that jada line came into my head "if you bring it to me then i gotta lose your family. Gangstas dont die, they get chubby and move to Miami" fuego
Track masters is one person ...
In my lifetime vol.1 was mfkn classic only 2 radio records
