Absolutely, we should all celebrate that kind of perseverance, through thick and thin, B4nny has always stuck around and not abandoned a game we all love so very much
@@nathanroman6566 He's always been a great boon to the community. Heck I even remember him playing in the Fakkelbrigade days, I think? Love that he is still playing, love rediscovering his videoes/channel after a long hiatus with tf2.
TF2 is probably one of the hardest games to ever get consistently get good at, especially across multiple classes. It’s incredible how many people are so skilled with only one class, and especially for those who play multiple ones like yourself.
Which is why tf2 will always be my top fps game. It does not cater to noobs as much as other games (cod for example) and the skillgap between a fresh install and 5k hour player is HUGE. Aiming, positioning, movement, map knowledge, critical thinking and especially team work all play a huge role and its why i love this game.
@@piercingchill7663 I think tf2 has newbie catering things. At least compared to games like CSGO or RUST. But its skill ceiling is insanely high and that's why its so epic.
It’s much deserved, and I think it could help us all be kinder to each other. At its heart tf2 manages to be both intense but also goofy, which are traits worth encouraging in our culture I think. More positives, less antagonism when it can be helped
I'd love to see more class-specific lists, like top 10 demo, top 10 pocket, etc. I think it could help keep the discussion more focused with shorter lists and like-to-like comparisons, not to mention easier for the people to rank. It seems like after the top 20-25, it just becomes a big shuffled grab-bag of notable players.
I think it’s so incredible to see people have the bravery to put their face on screen and open up about themselves. You guys all fucking rock for being vulnerable and open with us and I appreciate it more than you can imagine. I idolize players like B4nny and especially Habib as players who have gone into a lot of demo man, my main. And maybe one day I’ll break out of my shell and have the courage to start playing competitively. I just need to make sure I have the proper work life balance and that I can include my girl so she doesn’t feel neglected or ignored.
I main 3 classes, and they're thanks to peeps like B4nny, I played pyro at the start and got really good at combos cuz of all the combo pyros in frag movies and stuff inspiring me, then picked up demo cuz of b4nny and Habib and got really good at that, and picked up soldier (and market gardening) cuz of Jay and his crazy shiz, and I'm actually fairly competent at them now
Even though they were mostly joking around I do genuinely think Habib is the only one who you could arguably put above B4nny. Obviously he has way less titles to his name but his demoman is essentially utilizing the most powerful class at it's maximum potential. From the way that clockwork described him, there's no individual player that can control a game in the same way Habib can on demo.
ye but banny clearly is the better player overall, having played all classes and shot calling, like he just clearly understands the game better than anyone else and he can play all classes. like you can have the argument that clockwork/yomps is the best scout, habib the best demo and what not but banny is the best overall player

The eternal problem with TF2 competitive is the spectator issue. It's so hard to watch it and see everything that happened. CS:GO came out around the same time and became so popular to this day due to the fact it's so simple to watch and understand. It's a 5v5 arena. TF2 is mad, even 6s with respawns are so hard to follow. Definitely requires an insane casting ability and introducing more replays or short breaks between rounds for recaps could definitely help the pace in my opionion.
Definitely is harder to spectate compared to tier 1 esports, but I don't think that's what's holding TF2 comp back. The main problem is the disconnect between casual play and competitive. 12v12 no bans is way too different compared to comp 6v6, while every successful esport has pretty much 0 difference between casual games and ranked games.
@@jfan3049 Good point, but also it's so hard to understand what's going on for a casual player watching TF2 competitive. The skill ceiling is probably one of the highest in all of gaming.
