Yeah hahah i thought the same afteri was on this i was like i really wonder how the other theme parks in the world feel when this is legit so much better than them
Weirdly enough, I think this is my favorite RMC aesthetically. Track is incredibly layered, blends into the terrain, and just has such a unique layout that's pleasant not only to look at but to ride I imagine.
Both Liseberg and Kolmården are great in their own way. But its pretty amazing that Kolmården beat every single coaster that Liseberg has to offer with this single one, as you mentioned that its a zoo. Both are great parks in their own way.
DO IT!! I was just there with my family, didnt even know that Kolmården had added coasters. And popped up on it.. and oh my god.. Everything he said here is true. Mind. Blowing.
yes it is worth traveling to sweden wildfire is definitely a iconic coaster and top 5 on my list. This is one RMC that doesn't get mentioned that much in the US and i applaud you Taylor for doing this review.
I'm from Sweden, but live in Virginia. I rode this last year when I visited family and I was blown away by it. That first zero G stall is absolutely insane, it's like getting airtime while being upside down, I've never experienced that before. And the views from the coaster are just amazing! Still trying to figure out what made the park decide to get this coaster, but it's really cool that they did, it's awesome!
I live 30 minutes from Busch gardens and a 1 hour from kings dominion but my uncle live right across the street from Busch gardens and my other uncle you can see kings dominion from his house
I rode it today. My first coaster in 25 years or so. Insane! Remembering I had a thought at one point, 'please let me pass out so I can get away from this experience'. I totally understand that this is a coaster well worth a ride, or twenty, if you are an entusiast. I, however, was really longing for a slower section right after the drop, to pull myself together. The drop was extreme. A bit too extreme for my taste, and I just couldn't get it together to enjoy the rest of the ride. But I guess, if I went on a few more coasters, and perhaps went wild fire a few more times, I'd get used to it. Never done an inversion before either. This one gave me three of them. I'm still alive, but wow...
Thank you for this review! I'm Swedish, and planned a family trip to the Zoo itself and found the coaster by accident, I.E I had no idea Kolmården had added coasters, so I hopped on it for fun, and as you said, low to no waiting time compared to when you're at an actual amusement park. And this coaster overwhelmed me! Finally I have a video I can show my friends when I rant about how bloody amaxing this track is!
the Pull out of the wave turn in the back row is so sick. not only Do you get Flipped, but you also drop down pretty steep What is often not so visible on POVs. kickass ride, really
I freaking love the review Taylor! You made me really want to go to this park at some point in my life! I look forward to more amazing videos from you in the future! You got a nice like on the vid as well! :) Edit: Thanks for the love Taylor and I THOUGHT STEEL VENGEANCE WAS YOUR FAV RMC LOL
this is the only coaster i think could top steel vengeance , its so nice to look at too and way better than any coaster coaster ive ever seen, its just stunning
I tried it yesterday for the first time and it is mental. You can´t take the fist turn in before you are thrown into a roll and so on. It took a few rides to really appriciate it.
Waited in line for roughly 10 minutes, and that was a quite busy day. Very surreal experience to see this monster of a rollercoaster at a zoo instead of established parks like Liseberg, wonder how they could afford it. It could be compared to Ronaldo getting signed by IFK Norrköping.
Fun thing! you only see a third to half of it from the ground, so the initial thought for many as they crest that first drop and the full ride comes into view is "wait a minute? there's more of iiiiiiit!", and for the more nervous type "oh crap oh crap oh crap!"
Thanks for the honest review, Taylor. I'm an enthusiast, but I'm unlikely to make it Sweden any time soon. Knowing that it's a great coaster, but has some similarities to Lightning Rod, makes me feel a little better about the fact that I'm unlikely to ride Wildfire.
Man, this coaster looks like it belongs in Silver Dollar City, especially since there is a coaster there called Wildfire and the park has so much similar theming
I am going to Stockholm for a week next month and I have to say I think it will be worth it to make a day trip out here and ride this coaster. Your review has sealed the deal for me!
The station is themed after a sawmill because you know, wildfires happens in forest where sawmills are also located, at least was in the past. And sawmills historically was the culprit behind some of the most devastating wildfires in history. I thought that was obvious..
What does the zero-G stall actually feel like? Do you feel like you're going to fall out of your restraints and drop to the bottom or do you just kinda float?
I'm from Sweden an have ridden this ride a couple of times and think it's amazing! Interesting that you say that Lightning Rod is the "better" ride between the two of them. I haven't been on the Lightning Rod. Just watched a video of it POV and I just think, except from the launched lifthill which looks awesome, that it feels a little bit booring? What's your argument for it being the "better" ride for someone like me who has never been riding it?
Ok, I don't know if this exists already, but I just - how awesome would it be if there was a coaster with an airtime hill that finishes on the ledge of a hill or rock work, then the coaster fell down the ledge with a double-down, but the second part of the double down is a zero-G roll, so it rolls you off the edge in a double-down
I really think wildfire is a topper track version of steel vengeance a i-box track rmc but wildfire one of a kind smart move tyler I really think 10/10 for me too love this video keep up the good work 👍🏾
Kinda crazy how most Swedes don't even know that Wildfire exists lmao at least I for sure didnt. Swedes think of Kolmården and they go "That zoo i visited when I was barely old enough to remember anything from it"
What did you think about Lost Gravity at Walibi Holland? It's one of the best coasters I've ever ridden, although my pool of coasters is much smaller than yours of course.
I wonder how actual amusement parks in Europe feel about having their best coasters getting beat by one at a zoo.

@@RogerFriberg i took my nephew there last week we had a blast it's crazy cause i have walked passed that thing many times but never riden it!

Just the location and the landscape around it makes this ride so amazing.

The people who own Gröna Lund own Kolmården too, and Wild Fire wouldn't fit in Gröna Lund so "why not build it in our zoo" lol
I live in Sweden and I have to say that some of swedish roller coasters really interacts with the terrain such as Helix, Lisebergbanan and Wildfire
I rode it today. My first coaster in 25 years or so. Insane! Remembering I had a thought at one point, 'please let me pass out so I can get away from this experience'.

You should rank all of the RMCS you’ve been on!

7:10 same thing for me on steel vengeance
to be honest... it deserves 8 out of 10 at most...
Doesn’t great bear have that turnaround at the top too?
It better be really good to have to go all the way to Sweden to ride it
HOT DOG! This ride looks crazy!!!
Does the hill element before the s-turns into the brakes and after the final inversion (6:25) provide any airtime whatsoever? :)
My projections for Taylor’s top 4:
1. Steel vengeance
2. Fury
3. Lightning rod
4. Wildfire
David Hood close but nah
I want to ride this so bad! Great review by the way ;)
