I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes..a long journey has come to an end..i was searching for this song for 22 years. Could just remember the Sample from a Tape I got back in the 90's. Stay healthy everyone!
💕👍. We could live a time there was less music than nowadays, and meanwhile it was hard to catch it, on tapes - when u were lucky - and even harder to get the title. Internet created these magic moments - tears in ur eyes u said ? yes so true - we could find them back. And make them revive. And get them forever as a part of us till the moment we will leave this planet.
Jesus!!! If your not listening to this to this day… well you will never know music like it. Bring back the days of 80s & 90s. I miss you. Stay raving everyone. 💃🏼💃🏼
Mate I've been looking for this since 1993 I'm 54 now I was 23 then... Words can't describe the joy of finnaly finding this ❤❤ how many of us have been searching for it lol
I live in Holland near the German border. Back in the early 90's I've always listened BFBS. That was the radiostation for the British forces settled in Germany. That's where I heard it.. Blew me away and never understood why this never reached the Dutch charts.. Still loving it after all these years.. Thanks for posting !
DNA is the moniker of two British dance music producers, Nick Batt and Neal Slateford, best known for releasing a remix of Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner" in 1990. The gentlemen made a piece of timeless music, thanks to them for that.❤
I would have loved to have been in the studio when Slateford and Batt had the bright idea of mixing the Rondo Veneziano tune from 1981 (which was popularised in the UK in '83 as the theme to a BBC show called "Hospital Watch") with Clivillés and Cole's 'Seduction' bassline from 1989. They seem to have played the latter (0:55) rather than sampled it, but it's quite magical how it fits with the faux classical sample.
What a classic track. .Slipmatt drops this in a classic old school set.. the problem is this tune never gets old and definitely went to a special school 😢😂❤
Hear the lovely crackly vinyl! I love hearing tracks that are taken straight off vinyl. I'm sitting here typing this surrounded by at least 5000 vinyl discs, with as much again in my bedroom and the loft, so yes, you could say I like the black stuff. ;)
When this tune drops suddenly I’m not under lockdown I’m back in a warehouse surrounded by mates just avin it large. When life was simple. The pills were amazing. And I still had hair. 😉
Classic! I remember buying this on 12" with that very sleeve back in 1990. A mesmerising and hypnotic classy house tune, this is a cleanly produced and all time classic for me. Cheers for uploading 🖒
Not quite sure why this popped up in my feed, but for those who remember that far back, this tune was (certainly one of those) used as the intro tune to Tom's Talkin on TFM with the late Tom Davies in the 90s somewhere.
An absolute classic from 1990. For me it’s all about the piano break at 04:09. I still can’t believe that this track isn’t available on iTunes, at least I have the original vinyl & CD.
I did have it on vinyl but when I stopped spinning I donated all my vinyl to a fellow dj and long time friend Joe Shotter AKA Nebula.but this tune still sounds so sweet 32 years later
Complex licensing issues (it's full of samples and it was on a tiny independent label) probably mean it will never be available on iTunes. The faux classical tune by Rondo Veneziano (which was famously used as the theme to a BBC series called "Hospital Watch" in 1983) is available on Spotify though. Various videos for it (including live performances with orchestras) are available on YT. ruclips.net/video/Y4FrnrD7jCA/видео.html
Heard this nostalgic song from the 1990... But.... At the start of this song, I used to hear a line, which goes by... "And God said... Let there be light, and there was light...." Only that part was missing I feel, rest, I am very happy to hear this after decades. Thank you for posting this song and God Bless ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Back in '90, I first heard it in a local club over here, I was blown away, and it has caught me ever since. I already knew the '81 version, but I like both classical and trance,so...
Hears this on a mates Old Skool set on here at the weekend. Instantly reminded me of something, War of the Worlds or a TV theme tune. A bit of Googling and I found it. BBC Hammersmith "Hospital Watch" theme tune from the early 90's. Memories are funny things😃
This is a cover, the original is from Rondò Veneziano. "The most serene one" (La Serenissima) was the name of the Republic of Venice. The full name was "The serene Republic of Venice".

The gentlemen made a piece of timeless music, thanks to them for that.❤

D is Doog, Neal's nickname. N is for Nick. A is for Akai, the sampler they used to nick (no pun intended) all the samples from.
chega a arrepiar....maravilhosa
Make me dance why dont you. Absolute belter that was rinsed back in the day 🕺💃
I first heard this in 90-91 on a local London pirate radio station in my bedroom and then hardly ever heard it again, now I've found it!
