Hi Kevin, with auto iso, what range do you stay in? For example if you are shooting birds in low light. On auto iso you can go up to something like 25000 but then you end up with quite a bit of noise in Manual mode with say 1/1000 shutter speed?
With the R5 & R6 which I shoot with they both can deal with high ISO. Added to DXO software noise is not really a problem today unless in extreme conditions. It's much better to have a sharp image with some noise than a blurred image with no noise! I limit my ISO around 12500 and have no problem with noise at that level because of the camera and noise reduction software. Hope this helps.
The camera wants any image to be mid grey. Dark subjects are left of mid grey so you should take the EC back to get a darker true image. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching.
Sparrowhawks, one of my all time favourites, can’t wait for that vid to drop 👍
Thanks Kevin. Very enjoyable

Dark take it back? So you're saying under expose if your subject is black? If it was black you'd surely be increasing EVC?
