I'm calling it right now Jet is gonna be a doctor when she grows up! She seems so precise and she was not grossed out at all by the insides of that turkey, and she seems like an EXTREMELY intelligent girl! I can totally see it! WOW
As soon as she said this is cool that was the FIRST thought that hit me. I like that you caught that. That’s how you become aware and push your kids into what God purposed them to be. Pay attention to what your kids do naturally!

The red thing is to help the turkey in case you put in a fryer or in a pot vertically, you could hook the turkey and pull but unless you tie it up, it will fall apart

Also, the red plastic piece is there to hold the turkey’s legs together. Since most people don’t have twine some turkeys come with the plastic piece.
For people who have been stuck in the same house for a long time I'm happy to see you are still getting along really well😊
The gizzard/turkey neck bone that is inside the cavity of turkey is cooked (optionally) and used to make stuffings/dressing. Well at least in the Bahamas and other parts of the caribbean.
In the UK we use it to make the gravy/sauce. 😊😊

@@kaceynm Do you use the neck bone for soups as well? I have an American friend in Arizona and she showed me that she boils the bone with scraps of her vegetables to make a broth. Thought that as so cool!

Jet and Beau are bright, bright kids. Jet cracked me up when she could understand you guys in the kitchen. I wish I was related to you all. I'm thankful for my kids, fiance and parents. I tried to cook a turkey last yr and got sick over pulling the insides out. That for sure switched me over to vegetarian life! That Mac and cheese looked bomb too. Omg. I was drooling lol. Hi guys from U k. . I own a butcher shop. Just a tip you should pull tge plastic bag out n throw away then wash turkey inside with salty water. Dry turkey then rub duck fat all over it and pop in oven . Happy thanks giving guys
