I bought this the day it was released, not that I've played a game of DnD yet, but I wanted to pick this up as an easy way into DM'ing. Currently trying to set up a game to play through the Stranger Things campaign, but think I might give this a shot first with a friend.
Being a 5th level module, it *might not be the best if both you and your player are TOTALLY new to the game, but as long as you two keep it fun and don't worry about getting all the rules right, you'll have a great time :D

Looks like an intersting 1+1 adventure, however not something I would want to enter to win as I won't be able to use it (newborns have that effect), so rather someone who can use it gets it. As for potion crafting, I did a very basic thing on the fly for healing potions, when one of my players with proficiency in medicine checks and herb kit wanted to scavange for herbs that could be used and make potions. DC check (perception or investigation) to find herbs (or sometimes an enemy may have some herbs on them) or a partial amount of necessary herbs so I can pace when they'd have enough by making them find more or less depending on their current hp and potential danger. Once they have enough herbs they utilise their herb kit to craft a potion which is a set amount of time and a DC (medicine) check to indicate the tyoe of potion. More time spent means lower DC for better potions. So it might be a DC 10 for potion of healing, 15 for greater, 20 for superior, 30 for supreme By spending more time DC would be reduced (say by 1 per hour)

I know there are some in the DMG, but I haven't read them in a while. Start off with 4lvls of Barbarian then take the Blood Hunter, and then forgo your second ability increase for the Mage Slayer Feat and you've got one hell of a mage killer on your hands. Matt really went to town on this one. It's a beautifully flushed out class.
