*Great reel, **enjoyable.fishing** recommend very smooth and I love that you can change from left hand to right hand so easily. Gave it a 4 on durability because I haven’t had it long enough to rate it. Doing good so far.*
The line pickup advice is huge thank you
Would be nice
Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod ruclips.net/user/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.
Pretty shitty setup
The 23 Daiwa Exist SF is so nice. I’m would love to get my hands on it.
I have my 22 Exist in the lovely Japanese package. The reel case is included in that package as well, in a separate compartment of the box.
I got the PC version of the 2500 and the 3000
Huge bummer that there is no 3000 XH. Makes no sense to bring a D model only- they will sell way fewer of them. Guess I'm going with a stella 3000.
tacklewarehouse says may 1 for the xh
Exactly. What a waste.
What are the main differences between the 2000 and 2500 sized exist? I seen that it has the same amount of drag but weighs a little more?
Holds more line is the only difference reel size.
Usually in terms of sizes 2500 would have bigger gear parts than 2000.
1000 got same gear parts as 2000 only difference is the spool which allows to stock more line .
Same rule applies withh 2500 -3000 size .
Now if it PC ( power custom) Usually same as I mentioned would have slightly bigger gear parts than the normal ones
That exist LT 2500 would it be good on a megabass baby plugging rod and a windbuster rod too
hello, I have this daiwa reel, there is 2500 xh lt and I don't know what rod to make a combo with, can you help me?
Can you use the exist for saltwater? I do a lot of surf fishing.
I just got the 3000D. It has 4 or 5 washers in a separate plastic bag. Are those spool washers?
Hey, I have a question. I couldn't find any details about the sizes of Daiwa reels. I want to buy the Daiwa Exist 2022 LT2000S-H or LT2500S-H, or the Shimano Vanquish C2500SXG. The body size of the Shimano Vanquish C2500SXG is 1000. What is the body size of the Exist reels models that I mentioned? I want to buy exist reel that is small like the vanquish.
Slow down. Still finishing my k2 bfs rod build. Still need a new Stella on a mag bass rod. New exist. Spool my slow pitch reels. So much stuff to get done and the season is already here!
Get on it!
I save my reel boxes. If you trade or sell off the reel in the future, the boxes creates more value.
This is true! I need a bigger garage!
Will this be able to cast light lures like a 1/16 or 1/8 ounce far
I Caught so many different species of Fish in Europe on River Po and less known River Bosna in Bosnia on Mega Bass Lures the Best Color I had ever had on Was 115 Tennesy Shed 8-9 years ago but they are all just unique if people only knew how much work and excellence goes in to Mega Bass Lure they would never even Consider Nothing Else!!!!! Yuki Itto is a Perfectionist!!!! Love it!
I got a 3000 2022 exist. Can 2000k spool fit?
I’ve spent the past few days test driving the JDM model 2500S-H. What an incredible reel. I can’t keep the yellow perch off the Hazedong, so I haven’t been able to test the drag yet. It’s a huge miss on Daiwa’s part for delaying the release of the 3000-XH. I believe it’s coming later this spring in Japan. Hopefully, a release over here will be announced shortly after. Maybe at iCast?
I sure do love mine.
That bail wire looks so much better on the new exist! I hate the look of the thick bail wire on Daiwa spinning reels. Hopefully they bring it down to all their lower end models too
Any recommendations in reel size for SoCal halibut? was thinking of pairing with a UC GT surf rod unless anyone has a better suggestion.
Hey..Love your videos every Sunday and the ones in between..Anyways my son bought me an Exist for my B-day...Still cant believe it..Question..what serial number is gonna show up for the newest issue of the Exist...Trying to determine if its the newest Exist or the older model..Thanks for the help
Does it come in a 1000 size I'm a trout guy
What’s the difference between 2500 and 3000?
Anyone know if the daiwa 2000 size is the same as shimano stella 1000
Is there a reason Daiwa goes with a single grip on the 2500 and a paddle grip on the 3000? I’m more of a fan of the single grip.
And I’m more of a fan of the paddle grip. I think they try to make the most people happy as they can 👍🍻
Oh yeah for sure. I was just curious if there’s a reason. Thanks Ben! Cheers 🍻 🤘
@@chadc7846 I think it’s size related. The 2509 is pretty small/compact, and the 3000 is a good size, so I don’t know if it would feel right with the smaller grip?
If you can afford one, you can afford an slp knob.
Chad, Daiwa offers a variety of grips to change it to your liking, and they're easy to swap out.
Be nice if they made a 3000 cxh. 2500 body/3000 spool. Best of both worlds.
wouldn't it! Now, it's a pretty big leap just getting pass the gear ratio issue. When you're used to a 6 to something ratio on most spinning reels, there's just no way to brush that difference under the carpet. Maybe if fishing inshore, bigger, harder fighting fish than most bass we all catch, you might pick power over speed, but most of are most comfortable with higher speed reels. If I wanted a dedicated spinning swimbait setup it might be good to help you slow down!
Are you sure about the size 1000 mate?
So, I take it you were just being courteous when you did the Stella video because you sound way more excited about this exist 😉
Well I’m a huge sexist fan boy, as I stated in the Stella video. I’m certainly open minded to new amazing things, so I want Stella, and everything new to be amazing! But, Exist for me is always a whole other level.
Stella fk vs this? who chooses what? pls help me
When will the new stella coming out?
They’ve been leaking small quantities
@@thehookuptackle_usa let me know when you have any 3k in stock
For sure a super nice reel but no real innovations compared to the new Stella like InfinityLoop or AntiTwistFin. More or less standard improvements like even smoother, lighter, more quiet. So I would go with the new Stella ... but I have always been a Shimano fan so no surprise🤣
Everyone likes different things. I think Stella fans will stay, and Exist fans will stay. I’ve been very underwhelmed by the Stella after using it. I’m hoping I’ll be very blown away by Exist after using it, but we shall see!
@@thehookuptackle_usa that's right. As a real Shimano fan, I will always go with Shimano reels, no matter how good Daiwa is doing🤣 In the end you can't go wrong with the mid to high-end reels from both, Shimano and Daiwa.
It's ur choice to either stella or exist u cannot go wrong either reel
Shimano loves slapping random technology names on meaningless stuff
Man! That is one beautiful reel!
Agreed!
Well done
I wish they’d come out with the same models as they do in Japan. I love the 4000 CXH because the high line pick up and the larger spool for line management.
Way better reel than the Stella. Who wants to put a heavy spinning reel on lightweight rods like a NRX+ or a MB Destroyer.
those of us who fish long 7'5 & 7'6 spinning rods, which almost always needs a heavier reel to balance the setup. Plus you don't have to have a super light setup in order to have a very sensitive setup!
Sellers love to promote their highest profit margin products. If you pay retail, like most of us, and you know what brand out innovates, and outlasts the competition, you buy Shimano.
okay, just curious..... if you are underwhelmed with the 22 Stella FK, and this has far less technology. what's underwhelming about the stella?
It’s heavy and doesn’t look as good
@@spencerb891 it's "heavy"? it's 2 ounces not 2 lbs. I'll take the one who's more innovative
@@miketorre16 get an FK then. No one’s stopping you. Just know most of the technology features are sales gimmicks that make little difference in actual performance and you will catch just as many fish with a Vanford or stradic or even a Legalis.
@@spencerb891 u know what. I recieved the 2022 Stella. I picked it up at a local store. they also had a 2018 Exist, and I was more impressed with the Exist. I am really thinking about getting 1
Mike be careful the light reel is not always good cuz it's very hard to balance out the rod .
There is absolutely no reason to have a deep spool reel for bass fishing, or really any type of fishing unless you’re fishing off a jetty or deep saltwater and then you’re probably using a 4000 size or larger. Not sure what Daiwa is thinking here.
Still an incredible reel I’m sure
Some guys still like to use straight fluoro, so I can see it for that. But even then I’d personally rather have the shallow spool and change line more often.
All that chrome, is it plastic coated chrome?
Big disappointment with the 3000XH. You can frame it anyway you like, but comparing it to the equivalent of a baitcaster speed didn't do it for me. It is what it is, and if they don't wish to produce what the overwhelming majority of anglers prefer then there you have it.
I need a loan to load that 3000 with braid
🤣👊🍻
Just back it with cheap Fly Line, or Boot Laces! 🤣🤣🤣
Here in Australia unfortunately, the customer service from Daiwa is so abysmal that if something goes wrong you're pretty much in a position of buying a new reel. So many going cheap on marketplace saying just needs new roller bearing or similar. But if you buy it, you find you're stuck with a broken reel. For this reason I won't be buying anything daiwa.
Take it to a local tackleworld, theyll fix it or order the parts from daiwa, never had any issue. Broke my bail arm from the rocks they just order the parts and fixed it for me. They might even service the magseals now in the shop.
Send me one and I’ll let you know how good they are. 😂
I am embarrassed... Still have every box from every reel I have ever bought...
You should build a nice display with them!
@@thehookuptackle_usa Well unfortunately I am a broke CNA so I only have 14 total. High end reels come tough for me so I work hard, save careful, and take care of them.
Had I only been so wise.
$859…really?
$$$$$
poors not need apply
🤣🍻
I can't even bring myself to spend more than 200 on a spinning reel...
Don't feel bad this dude gets his free I'm sure...glorified commercial
Yep
You lost me at $800
I'm going Shimano if I'm $700-$800 ....
