Bearing in mind I was 17 years old at the time I gave this speech, I was going for a balance between the two ideologies. Granted I could have explained that better: maybe saying “minimal regulation, maximum economic freedom” would have been clearer. But I was too eager to get to the back half of my speech. For context, I wrote the front half of this speech 15 minutes before I went up there because the staff kept pulling people off stage for not having anything serious to say. Best I could do at the time under the circumstances.
Hmmmm I plan on applying for boy state. Honestly if I was elected governor I would be focused on reducing taxes. Because doing so would reduce costs of goods and the state would be getting from the remaining tax. Help toward paying that 64$ billion dollar debt off. Also focus on reducing the federal governments control over the state
