- Rappers That FAILED To Blow Up - We've seen several times how a famous rapper will try to "put us on" to a new artist that's signed to their record label or that's a part of their group, in an attempt to for them to gain popularity. And alot of the times, that artist never blows up or they only have 1 hit song then immediaitely fall off from there. From Soulja Boy, Ludacris and Nick Cannon, to EZ Mil and Eminem, trying to elevate a new artist is not going to work every single time.

Stunna For Vegas is the first person I thought of, Dababy used to push him hard asf and he had some big moments for sure
He stopped making a music he got a wife n kids he still makes music technically but it ain’t like poppin
My ex is his baby momma now so I really don't respect him. You right, I should have put him in the video.
@@AmiriHipHopI can’t tell if your deadass💀
@AmiriHipHop idk if you fr or just joking 😂😂
@@AmiriHipHopYo? You cappin’? I don’t see any “💀” or “🫤” that make your statement sarcastic..
“ I’m on fire like I’m standing in a fireplace ” These are grown man bars you gotta deal with 😂.
11:51 “Nick is known for shooting up multiple different clubs every year!”
That was funny as hell 😂😂😂😂
“That nigga that be in the background of all YBN Nahmir’s videos” stg that’s what I thought when I saw the entry 😭😭
11:39 "Shooting up multiple different clubs every year"
MAAAAAAN I damn near spat my food out hearing this LMAOOOO
What did amiri mean by dat?
@@Only_Dae0 Impregnating multiple women lol
Imagine seeing the kid in ur school who swore he was next up and instead of blowing up they end up on a video like dis
Shit at least they tried
I mean, being a one hit wonder is still better than being a no hit wonder
@@i_fuze_hostages6unrelated but your name made me want to play siege rn 💀
@@FoolishMaki fair enough
Yo the fact I guessed MySpace out loud when u said guess for Izzy Battle got me dying by myself in the bathroom 😂😂😂😂
At the same time ur tryna put on Mr Lashawn 😭
Bread is bread
Ayy man, i ain’t complaining
😂😂
I didn't know y'all looked at me as a famous rapper :D. I'll take it.
🤯
Saw this title and immediately thought of Kidd Kidd. Bro was supposed to be "the next great gangsta rapper" but no one could name a song from him.
MISS OFFICER his claim to fame
@@PimpinBeenSinceHis verse on that song is hella forgettable, tho 😭
Lil Wayne & Kidd Kidd "All on Me" went triple platinum on my ipod in high school
Kidd Kidd was nice tho !!!
Everyone thinks Izzy Battle disappeared, but we know that he was really secretly sacrificed to Nick Cannon’s 12 children for sustenance.
In middle school I used to champion Izzy Battle. Know Im talking about was 🔥🔥🔥. It’s just weird that googling him yields almost no results like you gotta go to the 3rd and 4th pages of Google to find anything. It’s like he made ONE song then poof gone.
"I'm on fire like I'm standing in a fireplace" I'm fucking crying 😂
One example I’ll put is Corey Gunz, Jay-Z AND lil Wayne tried to put him on during different years. (especially Wayne on 6 foot 7 foot) but now in 2023 you ask a person name an actual Corey Gunz song 95% of time they will not give you an answer
He was really good. I wonder what happened?
Lashawn badly needs a new producer tag, cause that sounded like straight buns.
Bro just roasting all of em especially shawty boy🤣🤣
Aye I swear that boy Manny pops up in my head from time to time lmao
At one point (around 2019-2020), Logic had a protegé called Silas who was on his No Pressure project and then got outta exposed for being a creep and sexual harrasment in dms with logic fans . Pretty sure Logic quietly dropped that boy after that
He did 🤣 Silas even said Logic ripped up his contract in front of him when shit started to hit the fan
@@dragastarr2926pretty sure Silas had an apology video where he said that he made a mistake and I'm happy he at least acknowledge that he was his own fault for doing the wrong thing.
@@fkinel-wu7evthat don’t matter you used another man’s fame to groom people💀
Izzy Battle reinvented himself and became A Boogie wit da Hoodie.
Lmfao
Since you mentioned Ncredible Records, there was this boy band that Nick Cannon signed to that show called 4Count. Since Nick was also the host of TeenNick Top 10 at the time, they would always have 4Count’s music videos on that show. I’m pretty sure that Nick used his hosting position to get these guys videos on the show because outside of TeenNick Top 10 I couldn’t tell you a single person who has heard of that boy band
It the “ladies and gentlemen” Jazzy Phae voice 😂😂😂
i used to play TF outta shareefa & shawnna's album . i still play a few of their songs to this day . miss my teen years sometimes, man lol
Hot rod looks like a random generated rapper a white dad would think of
That ‘I Need a Boss’ still slap tho ngl
I’m mad nobody brought up that Djay line😂😂😂😂
nah I was weak it caught me off guard
To quote Snoop Dogg "WHO?!"
Another singer that a rapper tried to put on was a dude named I-15, who sang the chorus to Soulja Boy's hit song Soulja Girl. It was actually a top 40 hit, but dude never blew up at all even with that cosign from Soulja Boy.
Bro couldn't walk it out and find his Soulja girl
I thought I-15 was a group, not one person.
But I thought about them a few times but chose not to include them.
@@AmiriHipHop Also, you could make a whole video or two on people Dr. Dre tried to put on but never went anywhere because of Dre being a perfectionest. I remember he had a dude do like over a hundred takes for like one line on a song or something and I don't think that song even released or leaked yet.
@@tylerdoesstuff6834Yassine actually did one
2:40 lmao i remember this dude bro
11:15 bro you got me in tears lol
18:37 lmaooooooooooooooo
That part where you threw in DJ 🤣🤣🤣 who else caught that?
I came looking for this comment!! 😂😂
@@TalentedTalenme too! (I did) 😮💅💯
11:50 "We gonna f*ck with him?! We dont f*ck with YOU!" - CTFU!
I've been more into the R&B scene as of lately and man I feel bad Shareefa & Olivia ain't pop off both of them were mad talented, I play them regularly
Also the ONLY time I saw Hot Rod was during a segment of 106 & Park's Freestyle Friday I completely forget about him after watching
No fuckin way, bro said im on fire like im standing in a fireplace....BARS
Only person I knew of in this vid was Olivia due to the reasons you mentioned (her being apart of G-Unit). Another example of this is Hittman who was put on by Dr. Dre and signed to Aftermath. He was featured all over 2001 and it seems the intention was for him to be one of Dre's next stars but he never blew up like that
Knoc turn'al as well. The lead song from the wash was his track then bruh just disappeared.
Every member of A$AP Mob - *obiviously* except Rocky & Ferg
Also King Chip or Chip the Ripper (signed by Kid Cudi)
Good vid🔥 hell nah that I needa boss took it back 🤣🤣🤣 damn thats a oldie
People take cordae serious as a rapper but not the rest of the YBN crew
Bc he can actually rap
A rapper that came to mind when I saw the title was Lil Chuckee. Wayne tried putting him on as a younger version of himself and it failed miserably
(An honorable mention can also go to everyone on Young Money not named Drake or Nicki)
Tyga barely made it out of young money i liked him back then an still do but I'm not a fan of that r&b singing shit he do nowadays
Or Tyga!
@@quentinflacko24tyga has multiple platinum hit songs with himself or Chris brown. Y’all sound like sheep.
@@marcobrien4546tyga fell off but he has enough streams to be ok
And lil twist
there’s no way i haven’t seen anyone mention remyboy monty 😭
Whoop Rico was huge. Soulja Boy kinda stepped on their success
Not to mention Soulja shot one of them niggas
The fact you had half as many views that he got in a year within 20 minutes is hilarious 😂😂😂
🔥🔥🔥 vid as always amiri
everybody talk about how drake and nicki was put on by lil wayne but lil twist was doomed from the start once he chose that as his stage name
If you do another part to this video I got three more for you to add. Stat Quo, Bobby Creekwater, and Cashis they were all signed to Shady Records and I remember Em was pushing them heavy when he dropped that Eminem Presents: The Re-Up compilation tape with all the artists on the Shady/Aftermath label at the time.
you funny as hell bro lmao
@@AmiriHipHop Anytime. Hey how do I get my music featured in your intro?
@@AmiriHipHop I can't put my email here. What's your IG or Twitter
@@AmiriHipHop I know it's a business
This video can literally just be the “other people” in young money
Good shit bro! Needs a part 2🔥🔥🔥🔥
"Shawty Der Da Truth" sounds like something I heard on 106 & Park. I feel like it was on the countdown before.
Bruh said djay from hustle and flow
I didn’t know shawty boy before dis 😂
7:27 that shit caught me off guard that was fucking hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂
We need a part 2
Is it fair to say that artists on Shady records seem to fade away?
Conway Tha Machine is the only person that's still snappin who was apart of Shady Records!!!
Other than 50 Cent, I would say so. Even Obie Trice and D12 had platinum albums but faded away. Yelawolf's album Love Story went platinum too but he faded away after that too. Interscope has a habit of wanting artists to keep delaying their releases which caused even 50 Cent to leave Shady/Aftermath.
I hope Mr lashawn never quits his day job
LMFAOOOOOOO no way you still have your myspace details 😭
Ybn Manny go hard 😂
The irony of making a video about ppl being put on that failed to blow up, while trying to put on a rapper producer with their “hottest beat” sounding very very low tier mid who will never blow up. Diabolical.
😂😂😂
Good video dude
Banger vid
good video man
Your research is so good bro
Unrelated but you should do a video on Am I Sleepin on Riff RaFF?
The 2000s ATL comment is so true Lmfao 🤣🤣🤣
“He did people dirty like Field Mob, DJ…” 😂
Crazy, Shareefa grew up next door from my house. Went to whitney houston with my sisters and they all hung out, would have sleepovers, ect. When she got older, she still came to visit my parents if she was in town. Then one day I remember my mom saying Shareefa stopped by, she said she got signed with that rapper Ludacris, she could always sing!
Then I never seen her, like anywhere. I was expecting to see her face everywhere but clearly younger me didnt understand how slim the chances of blowing up under Ludacris, of all people, would be 💀
This video got more views in 2 hours than Jabari makes in a year 😭
Shawty boy also randomly dropped a song 11 years about Jose Guapo 😭☠️
Pls do a part 2
2am in Houston dude ain’t going to make it either!😩🤦🏼♂️
It goes for a lot of people in groups, one gets famous, the others are forgotten to the masses. B.G and Turk out Hot Boy$ (Lil Wayne, Juvenile and even Birdman to an extent blew up their careers), Boyz N Da Hood with Jody Breeze, Big Gee and Duke, and arguably even Gorilla Zoe. Jeezy got all the limelight. Even very member-centric groups like NWA, you don't hear from MC Ren and DJ Yella.
Imma be real with you, the whole OVO should be on this list (excluding Drake of course) they barely blew up after 2016 even with a Drake feature here and there
Nah partynextdoor still good. Dude just be writing music n staying in the shadows
Izzy battle looks like a atl costume for Childish Gambino 🥴
Only time I remember Olivia. Is a old donkey of the day where they roast Rich Dollaz for crying about Olivia not being big. 😂😂😂😂
Artist on this list that I heard of before-2 and it’s shareefa and Olivia
Songs I heard from artist I heard on here?2 and “i need a boss” and “talking bout”.
Where you finding these ppl brodie😭
I was a kid when I was getting some out, so I didn't notice. Who tf let their kid in that video?
It says that Be Easy peaked at #85 on the Hot 100 on Wikipedia but it’s a lie and turns out it peaked at #91 on the rap charts. You can sell more than him lmao
blocboy p fizzle coulda been there but his chicken dance is more famous than anything these 5 people have done
What about clever? He got put on twice and still hasn’t really made it
This is NOT what we were listening to in DC we have NEVER heard of Izzy. Lmao
Why at the Izzy Battle piece when you said where you found him at ..why i randomly said Myspace and then you said it too???
3:16 I HATED this era
I damn near forgot bout Shawty Boy 😂 the only person who was Successful outta SOD was Lil B. But he left cause Soulja started to copy his style & whole swag.
The only reason Soulja Boy had Lil B & Riff Raff vitality is because Lol B & Riff Raff Was viral before they got with SOD
@@jadariusjones8174That too, I slick forgot about Riff Raff
Lil b was already popping before being affiliated with sod
That lashawn beat go crazy on mute 🔥
Shanell was another one from Lil Wayne camp that got played..she was Wayne lol sode piece
That Brazilian jacket nick had on is 🔥
damn im doing more numbers than shawty boy lmaoo
How do I have more followers than Shawty Boy when I don’t even use social media
Yooo i actually remember Shareefa! Her song was in rotation on 106 & Park for a hot sec 😂 from what I've learned, Luda sucks at managing artists and (rumors say) he was threatened by Shawnna's growing success.
Sorry shawty boy sound like a damn boondocks parody😭💀😂
The G-Unit story doesn't end there either cuz there's also Spider Loc, Governor who was a singer and also Kidd Kidd who even got A XXL placement in 2015 i believe.
At this point if you give it five years after the feature only like 30% of XXL freshmen go on to have long lasting successful careers
I hella remember hot rod. Funny enough, I remember 50 brought him to 106 and they premiered be easy and I never heard that song again lol
No that’s NOT what us people from Dc was listening. We were listening to Go Go 🤣
Bro that mr.Lashawn producer tag *dead skull emoji*
fire video
I am on fire 🔥 like I am in a fireplace 😂😂😂
Brooo i thought the thumbnail was token lol!!!
"Be Easy " was straight, ijs
Y’all remember Q Da Kid. Jermaine Dupree tried to push him along with Tag (the body spray) Records. He was supposed to be the next big NY rapper.
Then Dosage he was a Philly rapper. That Lupe Fiasco added to his All City Chess Club super group.
I haven't heard of any of these people growing up that's the crazy part, only the people that was trying to put their people on
Shawty Boy sound like a male Rasheeda.
I could DEFLEE hear him on the remix for "bubblegum" 😂😂😂😂😂
" do you think this song fire "😂
Nick Cannon dropped more babies than artist😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He really tried to make DC look bad with that Izzy shit, like I PROMISE you nobody from DC and the DMV area even knows who tf he is 😂💯 I ain’t even know who he was until I watched this video like go head bra 🤦🏾♂️ like you know damn well everybody was listening to GoGo and Wale during that time period in DC
