I can't believe you are putting out such quality tutorials for FREE! Thank you, man.
I gotchu brother. You're welcome.
You should see his master class this is just scratching the surface
Qazi, I remember how this tutorial blew me away the first time I saw it - so much gold in here that goes well beyond a single look re-creation! 💥 What's cooler still is seeing how your grading techniques have evolved with the new tools that DR 17 provided...yet the philosophy behind it is still the same!! SO COOL - it gets me excited about color grading all over again. 😊
Obsessed with this look. I want my photos to look like this 😍
Literally... You changed my life, i really love you and love your tutorials, and even i started saying som of your words in my life with my friends or my family 😅
When I knew you about two years ago ... I believed that there are good people in this world, you are a good person, you help people that you don't know, you helped me being better and now i have a gob and i am only 15, just because of your awesome videos, you are awesome, big love for you 💜
Really enjoying this series, keep them coming Qazi!
for sure.
King of color grading back again with a great tutorial. Love you man💜💜. Thank you so much.
😂 love you back brother.
Amazing tips. So important to note too, the DP and production design make or break the grade. The mixed temp lighting, and the blue paint on the car allow for all of these nodes in the grade to do their magic
This guy knows what he is doing, literally one of the best color grading tutorials.
Thank you.
My gosh.. Looks so good man! Thank you for this! Amazing at cover all the little details that go into creating such a specific look! Love it man.
Of course, brother. You're welcome.
Waqas, u changed our lives. Seriously, we love u hahaha you won a big fan from Brasil!
Thank you
Can't believe your throwing a free tutorial my friend.. thank you so much. Keep it comming..
Hi Waqas, thanks for putting out amazing content. I enrolled to your webinar, but i was wondering when are you releasing a full step by step course. Im interested to learn fundamentals, theory and practical ways to approach any color grading, matching cameras, and being able to replicate looks or matching cameras footage. Thanks in advanced!
You're welcome, Jonathan. It will be out early next month. Stay tuned.
Amazing, this is the bible to all color controls. Thank you so much!
You're welcome
Dude, yes. Thank you. Just finished Part 1 and subscribed.

Thanks SO much. You really bring it every time. You explain so clearly when and when not to use each tool. You're the Jedi Colorist. Obi Wan Qazi.

Thank you. You should brother.
Thanks for the tutorial and information.
you're welcome
Dude amazing job loving your content. I'm a big fan of Drive especially for the color work. Could you please do one on this one? Keep it up mate and thank you for everything
AMAZING WORK, I'm not a videographer in any sort, but I use DaVinci for my videos as well and it is so nice to find someone doing tutorials for DaVinci at the level of other big name youtubers that use other softwares. Keep up the great work, I would love to learn about the FUSION panel it is so so so confusing to me, but anyways AWESOME WORK! Thank You.
Appreciate the love, brother. Thank you.
Love this look man. Love you 3000.. The quality of your content is extreme.. Love to see Blade Runner look
BR is coming soon.
Wow thanks, it’s amazing. Could you make tutorial with “Taxi Driver”
Hi, really great tutorial, showing the subtly and craft of colour grading. One minor thing, with youtube compression it's quite hard to see(at least for me) the effects of the noise reduction, sharpening and grain, but that is merely a small point on an excellent demonstration.
I like the key free look, because that is something I can use for drone video's where the scenery is moving around a lot.
Exactly. It's a non lazy way looks and something that can be applied to a whole scene or a project.
Really liking your content on youtube, you are a inspiration for small youtubers like us.
Thank you brother.
Dude you are one of the best instructors on color correction - thank you.
Music to my ears
Thank bro for the training :)
Of course.
Choice Brother👍
Your videos are dope
Always Getting inspired to do the grading better

Just discovered your channel today (subscribed immediately OBVS) and I CANNOT wait until you do one of these videos for 1917. Having watched it last night, it was one of the BEST color graded films in recent memory.
Thank you brother. On the list will happen soon.
Great job as usual!! Next make Wonder wheel, please
never heard of it. I will check it out.
This video made me stay watching all the way. Felt like I was sitting right there.
Man you are my hero..... ❤
Thank you
just awesome
Thank you
holy s***, one more video, cant wait. you cant give us this wait time :D
😂 all good things come to those who wait 😜
It Chanel is the "secret sauce"
Insane as always! No bull, straight to the “juicy” 🤣🤣 Think you could do a vid on how you go about matching different shots from different cameras along with colour correction?
Thanks. That's all part of my Masterclass. Covered in detail. It comes out early next month.
hey qazi...plz do some tutorials on Sony's SLOG 2 Footages
Thanks !
you're welcome
Sick tutorial i like it 💪🏾💪🏾🎨🎨👌🏾
Thank you
Tôi quay bằng sony ax700, nên chỉnh PP mấy để hậu kỳ màu tốt nhất? Cảm ơn (ngôn ngữ từ Vietname)
Unbelievable quality and value on your videos man! Respect! Would like to see a Children of Men look session!
Thank you. On the list
The cinematographer said that the Blu-ray version of the movie was scanned from the 70mm film prints (and they re-graded those scans a little too if I remember correctly), and he noticed a lot more magenta + yellow came through in some scenes, compared to what we saw in trailers or in the cinema - something to keep in mind if you are using the Blu-ray version for reference!
Thank you!
you're welcome
Is it possible to get the shot? I want to try and follow the steps while grading the same footage (if possible all 3 parts) :D Thank you.
yoyo, as you didn't mention it: Are the nodes parallel or layer? tnx!
Amazing as always, next do Bladerunner ❤️
Already on the list.
Can you make some Videos where you grade footage which is noch well exposed and show some tricks how to fix it or show how far you can go with this?
For exsample i have shot wich is underexposed and I got a still with a great look for this scene but of the to dark image the grade won't work well.
JOKER! I just set a reminder. I can't miss this for the world.
Let's go!!! See you at 10
Good men!
Thanks
Thank you for this amazing master piece, i enjoyed every bit. I would like you to recreate "JUST MERCY" kinda look. Thanks
Thank you brother. I'll check it out
Great, Thanks
You're welcome
How can i use The film grain in The Free version? Beacause it say that It’s only for The paid version
This perspective and unique bokehs via the DNA primes. Its was vintage Nikon, Canon and Leica lenses.
I allways use vintage lenses ,specialy my contex zeiss line. For the unique caracteristics. Not clinic clean and sharp, but thats why its look very organic. :)
Couldn't agree more, brother.
Wow this was amazing man ! thanks a lot. i have a question! why did you use both primaries and log wheels for adding color to highlights, midtones and shadows? couldn't you only use primaries and for example pushed it more to add more yellow to highlights? i know that log wheels effects more specifically , but when should we use which (Primaries Vs Log) for adding color to tones or even changing the luminance values ! Thanks so much.
You're welcome. Primaries for macro balance. Log wheels for micro adjustments more for look creation.
Sir you’re just awesome pls come to India and join our Bollywood industry .we badly need a next lvl colourist like you sir and you are my inspiration 🥰🥰lots of love 💕
haha. Thank you brother.
INSANE DUDE ! where do you get your sample footage ? Would be awesome to follow along, if you can provid your sample shot or even a still from it. So much more sophisticated tham aram k for example who claims to be a professionel but one can clearly distinguish you from other self claimed pros :D keep up the amazing work, already learned a ton from ya
thanks. Can't share the footage, don't have the rights but you get gigs and gigs worth of footage in my masterclass.
Thank you for all your effort and creativity in the color grading learning world, one question, could we add grain in a timeline node instead of clip by clip...is there much of a difference? Thank you and please keep up.
Yes you can!
Such an amazing video, as always!!! Talking about sick and depressing atmospheres it would be cool to have a look at the grading of the HBO show "Chernobyl" ;) Cheers!
Thank you. Literally one of my fav shows EVER. 💯 I am on it brother. Already on the list.
Great tutorial and great channel! When comparing to your earlier Joker video, are the layered nodes here not being used to isolate and adjust her skintone because this was shot with similarly styled lighting to the reference clip, whereas the other one wasn't? When is it necessary to key out actors?
Exactly. You want to avoid using qualifiers as much as possible unless necessary.
how can i send you an image that shows a color grade....
east or west you are the best
😀
Re-view the episode again...... Amazing...... 😊
Ty
I'd love to see some Mindhunter! or DARK! Great work as aways, man.
Both are on the list. Thank you, brother.
@@theqazman Sweet!
Thanks a lot! Very interesting video! And could you make a video on how to improve bad footage. For example, strongly overexposed, or with the wrong white balance and so on
You're welcome. Anything too technical is part of my masterclass. I like to keep them separate. I will be re releasing it in early feb. Stay tuned.
Hey Qazi, thanks for the awesome tutorials. You always give us something new and different to learn! You are the man. I was wondering where the footage you grade come from? Are they your own or is there a secret stock you get them from? I always do tryout your tutorials with screenshots but the quality of the image is just not the same... just saying :)
You're welcome. Some my own and some from other people.
Hey. Really great video. I wonder what is the main dispaly that u r using? Thanks!
LG b6
Waqas Qazi thank you! Your videos are really great. I’m also the colorist but always watching your stuff with pleasure. Maybe you could do video about your hardware and display calibration one day. Thanks again!
Excellent reconstruction work! Is there a chance for an episode of work in ACES mode? Best wishes.
Thank you. We'll see 😀
This is so easy to understand! Great work! I'm still using Premiere for my editing and coloring, but I'm considering switching to Resolve since it came for free with my BMPCC4K. I know it's great for coloring but what about editing like cutting clips. Do you use it for that purpose aswell or do you use something different? Thank you!
Thank you appreciate it. It’s a beast when it comes to editing. I highly recommend working on your next project solely in da Vinci resolve and see how it works.
Waqas Qazi ok man, will give it a try. Keep doing these! I can hardly sit through a 10mins video normally, but both of your joker vids went by in no time!
woww incredible I can pay money for those tutorial thank you very much
Brother, dropping a tutorial on John Wick later today. Get pumped!!!
Hey! Would you be able to do a color grading tutorial on the Calvin Klein Euphoria commercial by Inez and Vinoodh in Hawaii? The colors are so rich!
Just added Euphoria to my list yesterday. 😀
What is the site you find all those info, about movies?
IMDb
Awesome, man! It stills hard to me to know when to use the primaries and when to use the log wheels. Do you have a tutorial for that? If not, do you intend to do one?
I think he did a pretty good job in this video of explaining when to use log and primaries. Watch it again. He literally answered your question in this video.
what an incredible video, thank you very much ... every video you upload shows us a lot ... a question friend Waqas! How do you choose the specific scene of a movie and apply it to your work? Are they the ones you like most?
You're welcome. So many different factors play into it but I'll just say intuition which comes from experience.
@@theqazman Thank you very much Friend! you are of inspiration!!!
@@johaovalecillos6565 You're welcome, brother.
Super video as always ! One question: why use color boost vs saturation? I guess both tools are good, it just depends on the intention, so: what makes you choose between one or the other? Thank you :)
similar but very different. Color Boost is mainly used to add and subtract color from the mid tones/ gamma.
@@theqazman Thank you! :)
It's not necessary to always treat the skin right?
sooo good video I've question HOW rename node in DCRV 16 ?
Right click then label or create a custom key for it
Like your video very much
Thank you
