    Thanks for the review. I got a pair after I went on a fishing trip with my father and friends and there was no power or cellphone signal in the area because snowfall knocked it out. They would have made communication so much easier because we were in a small area. Example: "who has the keys for the house??" "I do, I'll be back in 5 minutes." It was also a great trip not having cellphone signal to distract us from living in the moment.

    Perfect review/test for this walkies. Looking to buy a set of about 10-12 pieces specifically for video production purposes. It fits into my budget and this the only aspect I'm looking to get a clarification on. We'll most probably never use beyond 300-500 metres max in 99% of our usage case. So this should work perfectly for us. Thanks for this review, absolutely helpful.

    Thank you for the video. However, normally, we use walkie-talkies for outside purposes like camping and mountain climbing, not just for social events like weddings or other occasions. So I wanted to know if the person holding the other walkie-talkie were to go outside the building, would the range increase further? I made me think and curious about it. 😊

    • @erickjmedina
      @erickjmedina  Месяц назад

      Must be perfect for camping as well, not sure about mountain climbing - I havent tried. The person need not to go out to receive the signal, but it will probably increase the signal if he goes out

The vehicle is curing signal. try standing outside the car and you should be able to hear them

    im just wondering if i could use these as a backup communication when riding our motorcycle?, we do have our intercomms but using mobile data connected to our phone, but i think this will be useful incase of sudden emergencies like giving quick messages, incase our mobile wont work, with a distance of 500 meters to 2 kms, that would suffice already

    • @erickjmedina
      @erickjmedina  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, very useful alternative. We use 888s for cars. I'm sure you'll find it useful for motorcycles too. I'm just worried if it's audible if you are not using the earpiece. However, connection wise - will do the job

    • @tinjastv
      @tinjastv 2 месяца назад

      @erickjmedina nice, i was thinking that we only use the baofeng as a sort of a backup communication in case our main intercoms doesnt work, yeah i also worry about having loud noises or the environment and while riding our motorbikes, i guess i have to find it out for my own, will buy and test it out myself, thank you

    Great video thanks for making this.
    two comments on this test:
    - The horizon it's only 4km away at sea level. the radiosignals (EM waves travel in straight line) therefore you won't be able to communicate with someone further away or even a small building or woods can make this distance even shorter.
    - If you want to try the power (radius) of the signal of your radio I would recommend going on a hill or the rooftop of a building and then try to communicate with someone 4 or 5 km away but having direct visual contact, even if you don't see the person clearly, make sure there is nothing blocking the line. and then you would probably have a larger range. I have used cheap walkie talkies at way more than 5km but talking from a hill to another hill.

      They can be programmed for any frequency between 400-470 mhz. FRS is in that range but you could use GMRS or even ham bands if you wanted.
