Thanks for the review. I got a pair after I went on a fishing trip with my father and friends and there was no power or cellphone signal in the area because snowfall knocked it out. They would have made communication so much easier because we were in a small area. Example: "who has the keys for the house??" "I do, I'll be back in 5 minutes." It was also a great trip not having cellphone signal to distract us from living in the moment.
Good job on the review, like how you revived it, that's what I'm talking about......I just bought 2 and I'm going to buy 2 more, I work in a wharehouse and I really need them, good job guys.
Perfect review/test for this walkies. Looking to buy a set of about 10-12 pieces specifically for video production purposes. It fits into my budget and this the only aspect I'm looking to get a clarification on. We'll most probably never use beyond 300-500 metres max in 99% of our usage case. So this should work perfectly for us. Thanks for this review, absolutely helpful.
congrats erick. I've got shocked when I saw your video while searching for feedback on this WT product. It's very informative. Nice👊 Good job childhood friend. I miss those days were dancing wayback highschool days. Kudos to you bro and Godbless☝️😊
thanks for the review. we're using the same 888s sa subdivision, what we did is we replaced the antenna ng Nagoya UT-106 SMA-Female at tinaas namin, ayun lumakas ang rx and tx. sa mga guard house namin kinabit, low budget comm namin sa HOA pero it works and helps. the higher the antenna the better.
Hi sir, bali itype lang yang unit name sa mga platforms like Shopee or Lazada, tpos add lang ng small antenna, i think lalabas na sya Yang radio from Thailand, pero available naman ata kahit saang bansa
Thank you for the video. However, normally, we use walkie-talkies for outside purposes like camping and mountain climbing, not just for social events like weddings or other occasions. So I wanted to know if the person holding the other walkie-talkie were to go outside the building, would the range increase further? I made me think and curious about it. 😊
Must be perfect for camping as well, not sure about mountain climbing - I havent tried. The person need not to go out to receive the signal, but it will probably increase the signal if he goes out
You did a good test review, very helpful. I suggest you should use the radio outside the car, to achieve a longer range signal it must be in a plain area with no obstacles as well as the person you're calling.
th noise she was getting wa weak squelch. they normally pre-programmed set at 3 squelch. you can jump it up to Squelch 9, and you. you can even purchase a a different antenna that is tuned for longer distance. The vehicle is curing signal. try standing outside the car and you should be able to hear them
im just wondering if i could use these as a backup communication when riding our motorcycle?, we do have our intercomms but using mobile data connected to our phone, but i think this will be useful incase of sudden emergencies like giving quick messages, incase our mobile wont work, with a distance of 500 meters to 2 kms, that would suffice already
Yes, very useful alternative. We use 888s for cars. I'm sure you'll find it useful for motorcycles too. I'm just worried if it's audible if you are not using the earpiece. However, connection wise - will do the job
@erickjmedina nice, i was thinking that we only use the baofeng as a sort of a backup communication in case our main intercoms doesnt work, yeah i also worry about having loud noises or the environment and while riding our motorbikes, i guess i have to find it out for my own, will buy and test it out myself, thank you
Great video thanks for making this. two comments on this test: - The horizon it's only 4km away at sea level. the radiosignals (EM waves travel in straight line) therefore you won't be able to communicate with someone further away or even a small building or woods can make this distance even shorter. - If you want to try the power (radius) of the signal of your radio I would recommend going on a hill or the rooftop of a building and then try to communicate with someone 4 or 5 km away but having direct visual contact, even if you don't see the person clearly, make sure there is nothing blocking the line. and then you would probably have a larger range. I have used cheap walkie talkies at way more than 5km but talking from a hill to another hill.
For car to car 2 km is not bad. For camping u should get more range. Those radios are just 1 to 2 watts. Every 1 watt is one mile in a straight line of site. Upgrading a little longer antenna will give u more range. 👋👍🙂
Thanks for reviewing the radios Bro👍🙂 pweding malaman san yung lugar niyo dyan nung lumabas kayo sa building? maganda ang place niyo malımıs pa 🙂 thanks. Rey, from California 👋
Thanks for the range test man I actually found one of these radios in my closet n not sure where it came from so doin research to see if it’s even a good radio or not. Just one thing though. Why wear a mask especially outside? It makes you a bit muffled

You lose range when inside the car. The 5 kilometer or more range is possible at sea. With the right or longer antenna and elevation, tens of kilometers is achievable.
@adamokuhle9753 oh that one can go 1-meter underwater, it has a water resisting feature, but that doesn't mean that it is safe to soak under water. It means, the deeper it goes under water, the higher the risk. But for sure, you can rely on that better than this one on the video
tingin ko dipende po sa policy ng bansa, dito po sa Thailand parang lauran lang naman yan. Sa atin ata may unit na allowed mag possess ang tao tpos may unit din na bawal natin gamitin

888s or bf r5 wich one is the strongest reception ?
if you are in a high location, it will get better
can you recommend me which antenna i can buy to increase the range? i also use this walkie-talkie
that stubby antenna is a dual band antenna.. if you need to use radio for farther range, use the antenna the radio came with
You did a good test review, very helpful. I suggest you should use the radio outside the car, to achieve a longer range signal it must be in a plain area with no obstacles as well as the person you're calling.
Hi! Thanks!
I tried it in 2 moving cars. It's actually better and satisfactory. I just didn't record it for some reason haha
From what I gather, a good antenna upgrade to these radios is the Nagoya NA-771G. 15.3" long.
How much of an increase do we get?

HAM RADIOS license in Thailand ?
is this approved by fcc or anyother organisation for daily use as far as the radiofrequency radiation , is it within limits or not ?
