I have no issues with Behringer making cheaper emulations especially of discontinued synths, where the original ones go for thousands of dollars. If the original company wants to get their slice of the pie, then they need to start making those models again, like Roland have with their drum machines.
I only have that behritone because i need a shitty speaker. Sold the rest. Never buying anything of them again. I did like the vc340 but sold it before it disappointed me all the time. It started to mess up.
You must have some sort of crazy work ethic cuz your videos are soooo loaded with info and getting better and better and better and better. AND you have doubled your subs in a time frame that confirms what I am saying.
No one cries when any other company clones stuff. The Pedal Induatry is full of clones. Many of them overpriced to stupidity. Who cried with the Deckard Dream, Jup 8, and Sinthax from the same company? Who cried when the dude made the Valkyre (that Waldorf bought and released as the Kyra)? Who cried when the young man made an OB clone? Who cried when ALL the modular companies release the same modules as eachother? Hipocrisy is real. 😅
To an extent.....the difference is Deckard's Dream was a high priced copy of a completely unattainable synth that wasn't being sold any longer, and you couldn't find any used ones on the market. The pedal industry clones each other, but they don't really undercut each other, they build and price higher the clones, MOST of the time.....I think the main issue with Behringer is 2 fold, they do it of currently available, in production units, and then charge multiple times less, and second, they also are vocal about when people come against them, and sometimes.....aren't very honest. Tom Oberheim actually came out and had to clarify that he didn't bless them to make their clone, and the OB-X8 that the UB-XA is "inspired by" is still in production, and Tom doesn't own the rights to it anymore, so it kind of isn't his call to begin with. I have no issue when they clone things like the impossible to find, out of production Jupiter or Juno....the modern clones are more the issue, IMO.
@@djlick2 every single pedal company has a tubescreamer clone. Tom Oberheim gave his blessings. Synth Anatomy has a text on it with the man's words. No industry is honest. 🤷

@@jumpingman8160 Gibson literally did that... They signed a contract with him without having to, to pay him for every synthesizer they sell with his name on it. Behringer doesn't pay him a dime for any sales on the ub.x models
Nobody buying a Behringer synth is choosing not to buy the original. They may one day, but in no world does a Behringer represent a lost sale for any OG company. It is all just gatekeeping and poor shaming. Which only squashes creativity and hurts future sales of more "pro" gear.
I have a hunch that other companies will ignore Uli's questions coz it will open a giant can of worms. For real, if let's say Arturia can emulate any synth using it's real name, trademark and trademark sound, why Unca Uli can't do the same in hardware? And the thing is if we gon' say "hardware is more serious stuff than software". it will open another can of questions. I'm not a lawyer but hell we all know how this works, once it started it can't be stopped, so nobody actually want to dive too deep into that.
What's the point of gatekeeping synths behind 1000 dollars pay walls? 😅💵 If Behringer made ArpQuadra tomorrow... I'd buy it yesterday... Instead ad of seeing it appear on the auction every 5 years and being more expensive then my car :s
Tom got the name back in 2021, everybody knows that! Behringer doing new versions of synths that are no longer manufactured is great, the UB-Xa was announced long before Tom and Sequential started talking about a UB-X8, so fair deal imho. Worse is the Swing, that was ugly and incomprehensible. If they stop doing stupid things like that, there's nothing to whine about, the classic synth brands had their chance, we have been asking for new versions of classics for a long time, but no. Now Behringer decided to do something about it, great stuff, KUTGW Uli but tone down your ego and stop doing stupid clones on things currently available on the market!
If the industry standard has been to pay royalties then Behringer is at fault for not paying royalties or any sort of monetary compensation for doing what they do. Simple.
Ableton needs its own stem functionality. No way I’m pay $10 a month for limited stems. In this respect Ableton is really lagging behind logic, fruity loops and all DJ software.
It's definitely unfair to criticise Behringer. Some like software clones some prefer hardware some like a mixture of both. I'd love an original TB303 but my Behringer clone is fine. Did others also do hardware and software clones ? Why pick on Behringer
@@MT-Tune-In You need to do a plugin for you, then people will the same problem as you will like it, just like Tarantino or Decap, film or music Its the same thing.

why? it's in china so who cares? or is it only a problem when the white man does it? you absolute hypocrite.
Loved hearing about Sumu and would be psyched to see more content about it and what it’s capable of

Nuclear Engineering is using synthesis so it makes sense, he is just an hybrid of his father and mother hahaha
Would that make his mother the carrier and his father the modulator?
