      yeah but in these days the company would fail again, with that simply design! most of these +1M $ supercars are sold in Russia, Arab countries and Southeast-Asia, where the average buyer wants an extravagant and flashy design.

    That documentation dated from 1992-1993. At that time the EB112 was considered to be beautiful. It becomes clear the Panamera shared some of its influence. The same EB112 designer was behind EB118 and EB218.

    Love the white with black wheels! I prefer the EB110 to todayd Bugatti Veryon. As for the EB112, well I don't think it worked out too well because I've never even seen or heard of it until right now! ! lol

  • @McLarenMercedes

    @Riutanharju
    Doubt that. Italdesign made their protype in 1990 and that one already had their own 3,5litre V12 engine. The production version was revealed to the public in 1992. They didn't have a single bolt in common with Lamborghini, which at the time was owned by Chrysler.

    Totally agreed!

  • @Riutanharju

    Well, not excatly. I have understood that they used base of Lamborghini for their prototype, but the production version of EB110 had its own construction.

    4:47 stick-shift
    a gated shifter would have been perfection but stick in that sedan is pretty neat.
    I like the way the EB112 looks.

    it actualy is the perfect shape for low drag coefficient. combine that with a flat bottom and you can even get negative lift at high speeds
    modern cars have more "edgy" rear ends because they need to be space efficient and cost efficient to produce.

    @janmaomuriano
    Yeah, and the Cizeta V16T was another twin sister despite being released in 1988 first, and the Bizarrini Manta of the late 60's was yet another "twin sister" and that despite being the first supercar to have this wedge shaped form, which Lamborghini only released in 1974 with the first Countach.
    The EB110 was designed and made in Campogalliano,Italy and had its own engine, chassis, factory, designers, you name it. Nothing in common with Lamborghini except both being Italian.

    lol at 0:50 original Gandini's EB 110 prototype. I never seen that on the road, only photos and it looks more like F40 to me. But this car was heavly redesigned in Bugatti factory because leak of photos before car premiere. Anyone seen movie with ID 90 - Giugiaro's prototipe for EB 110?

    Bugatti should reenter into F1. Upon Audi should transfering their winning LeMans program to F1 VW should change Audi into the Bugatti F1 program. Yes I know Audi has Grand Prix history but Bugatti pioneered it.

    And for this reason no orders were made and the car never saw production.

  • @overnightpartsfromjapan01
    @overnightpartsfromjapan01 12 лет назад

    It's not a great shape. The rear swoops down towards the number plate at too steep an angle for the flow to stay attached, creating turbulence. for lower cD you need clean flow separation at the bootlid that's why most new cars have a sharp bootline/rear tail lights.
    It's the same reason the VW beetle and Audi TT are notorious for aerodynamic lift over the rear axle - too curvy at the back.

    Hi actually like the look of the EB110. It's not exactly 'pretty', but it has a certain look about it. The EB112 on the hand, I must say looks awful. I just think it's proportions are way off. Some of my favorite automotive designs were penned by Giugiaro, but the EB112 is not one of them!

      Deaner Beansmith No it's not. It's a testing-phase prototype with temporary, more improvised bodywork before the final design was realized.

    o EB 112 não tem nada ver com o Porsche Panamera é o Panamera que parece com ele o EB 112 é v12 e veio anos luz na frente e o Porsche não tem o mesmo motor que ele ...o EB 112 é um carro extremamente conservador num veio com uma proposta esportiva embora tem um motor similar ao 456gt ... eu teria se pudesse mas não dessa cor e com outras rodas ele seria um carro mágico ... by brazilian
