Enjoyed hearing this talk pointing out God's Sovereignty and how He has "written His law on our hearts! His allowing evil always has a greater cause we sometimes can't see.
I get frustrated with the so-called 'free will' defense because it's not biblical. We are never 'free' in the modern sense of the English word. This defense pictures some existential space isolated from both God and sin where we make decisions toward one or the other end. Scripture affirms we are either slaves of sin unto death, or slaves of righteousness unto life. Jesus offers freedom from one into service and friendship into the other. But even followers of God can reject certain truths, in which case, they would be led into evil practices on that basis. Abiding in truth is abiding in God and avoiding evil. That's the connection between good human action and God's good being: acceptance or rejection of truth.
God bless yup brothers. So If God decrees that someone will never be a believer, even before their born, and He decrees everything that will come to pass, all the sins, how is God not responsible for the evil they commit? And ifGod is responsible, how come He is not bad? So God brings someone to this world, and He creates him not to believe, and later sends him to hell for eternity, isnt that evil? God decrees people before theyre even born to hell for eternity, really? Is this what im understanding?
Blessings to you Oscar! I really encourage you to pick up Scott’s first book as a thorough analysis of those issues. But in short, I would say there is a tension in Scripture teaching both that God is completely sovereign and utilizes providence, but at the same time God holds humans responsible for their choices and actions. If we have a problem with how those go together the Bible apparently does not. It is humbling to meditate on the glorious things of God.

Pick up the book on this topic by Prof. John C. Lennox: 'Determined to believe?' Best book I have ever read on the subject.
Thanks for the recommendation!

I would be interested in hearing his expository on evil in the pre-adamic world.
Great idea-perhaps we can get him back on the channel sometime.

*Promo sm* 😣
What does sm stand for in this context? 🤷♂️
Probably since he’s an excuse in the minds of primitive men to explain the world along them.
Hi welcome to the channel! So I take it you don’t believe in God?
