Thank you for the inspiration. I agreed that your idea is probably the most practical one on RUclips. I might make a few modifications, but your idea is very inspiring. Thank you so much.
11-26-21. sweetest Ms.GIGI MITCHELL, not only you are beautiful, your gadgets are simple and available in every household garage. simplicity and humble expression on your face relate to tour tools. Wishes to you.
Gigi, this is simply the best home-baking dough sheeter I have ever seen. You are a genius! I have wanted a sheeter for a long time. But, in the UK these are hellishly expensive. Now I can make my own without breaking the bank. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from Glasgow, Scotland! I am your most recent subscriber.
Bolt cutters worked better on the clamp handles than the saw. Clipped em at the store. Really like the wing nut and spring idea think I’m a give that a try
lol I was thinking the EXACT same thing...and round dowels under the board to act as rollers, make a little track edge on both sides, to keep it running true
Think it's a great simple idea could try flat sheet metal under the board as shims say 1mm 2mm throw a few magnets to hold them down could save time rather than adjusting nuts.
Hmmm... A couple of automotive valve springs underneath the rolling pin handles would give you a lot of adjustment. This is such a fantastic DIY project and I applaud and thank you for this!
wowwww... your voice, its so angelic, thank you for being in this life.. you are so cute, lovely.. i have lost words though.. so at last thank you so much... be happy and take care
This is a great idea. I see a few ways to improve it, I will send you a video when I make it. I didnt even know this existed. I dont bake but wanted to make christmas cookies ad thought, they have to have an "auto-roller" ? lol. I was right
Hi Gigi, This is great I am trying for a while now to find the right clamps and bolts. I bought C-Clamps and I cant find the right bolts, every store says its a special kind of screw and no bolt will fit. Is there a chance you can link to the products you used on Amazon? Thank you !
C-clamps usually use an ACME thread. You won't find nuts to fit at a big box hardware store but google should help you find someone that stocks them in your country e.g. McMaster-Carr in the US. You can find information online to help you identify the parameters of the nut you require.
I don’t know what it is about your inflection and diction but paired with the Japanese Farm Raindrop Lounge Frog music in the background??? What a ride!!?? I did give myself a good chuckle (in the best way possible…a few times over on playback) at how I’ve never heard somebody speak with such restrained enthusiasm…about croissants… hahahaha I’m almost like this person really takes this seriously or it’s literally so serious that it’s not serious at all to you because this is your life, nothing would ever be different and never will be. But THEN, we went from the “are we all in on the joke or not?” Microsoft dough (my croissant dough) bakin pies everyday like Miss Ever Jane to frickin Betty Crock with the pot putting ALL our shoulders to shame!! Such a juxtaposition like you rolling out the hardwares and the blades hahhahaha seriously I was like are they like stuck on the prairie in Utah and dont know what a car is or are they in their basement in NYC on a freeze you to the bone winter day! I JUST DONT KNOW. Love this though thank you for sharing. I will be using some of this knowledge to build a roller for making papyrus paper, the ish grows like a weed down here in FL and takes over the yard every month.
Great idea, thanks for sharing. I don't have a counter compatible with this setup, but this gives me a good start. Would also be great for linoleum block printing!
Wouldn't it be easier just to roll it out by hand? I'm trying to get the reason for this if you have to continuously adjust the nuts on the side to get the right setting. Once you do it enough, you will know by touch that you have it right ( whether the dough is getting rolled out evenly or not).
I was looking to emulate a dough sheeter, which all professional bakeries use. A sheeter rolls it out both gradually and evenly. The nut adjustment is pretty quick and simple. And I'm not at all against rolling it out by hand.
If you’ve ever rolled croissant dough by hand you’d know why a dough Sheeter becomes such a valuable kitchen tool. Rolling by hand is very tedious work and if you have strength/arthritis issues in your extremities it’s even harder to do.
Clever idea! But I think to save time, instead of adjusting the rolling pin each time, why not keep adding a series of sticks of a defined thickness under the cutting board instead? Just slide the cutting board on the sticks. Keep lifting the cutting board up to the roller instead of lowering the roller down to the cutting board?
Hell, a manual sheeter is $500. Electric ones, even for home use, are a grand. I want something to sheet pizza dough like the restaurants I've worked in. I am so trying this.
Be careful with your wrists, when you least expect you will have a surprise on your hands. Have an electric dough sheeter machine Good creation though.
Thank you for the inspiration. I agreed that your idea is probably the most practical one on RUclips. I might make a few modifications, but your idea is very inspiring. Thank you so much.
You are welcome Edward, and thank you so much for the appreciative, kind words

yes, very clever! Thanks for sharing the idea!
My pleasure 🙂
Blew my mind, totally. This is brilliant.

great design! If you could put some springs under the rolling pin handles, and then some wing nuts above it to make adjusting the height eaiser

i have been looking for a video like this and I am glad i finally found onel
Simple and elegant! Will Help me a lot in coming up with sth similar.
Thank you, and great! 👍🙂

This is just so cool. This is by far the best DIY dough sheeter. I am going to make croissants.
Yay, thank you so much! 🙂
Wow!!! Very Nice. Great Idea. Thanks

Very kind of you to say, thank you so much ❤️.
Nice work! I might have to try this.

Haha good luck!
This is genius! Thank you!
You're welcome! :)
This is amazing Selma Blair. Didn’t know you baked but thank you for sharing.
Hehe thank you... Now you're in on my secret 😉.
Well done
Excellent design concept. Will use this to make an automated approach using 3D printers.
Her voice is soothing😍
So smart wish I saw this week's ago!
Most excellent.

I like this... Awesome
You are brilliant

this is amazing!
Nice idea for small bakery business
Here in South Africa its so expensive.
AMAZING!❤️
Thanks a lot! ^_^
Great idea
I like where you're going with this. Have you made any improvements? I want to build something that's a bit easier and faster to adjust.
Awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Loved it. Kudos!! 👍😍. I have been looking for a DIY solution for home made dough sheeter. Am going to try this 100%
Awesome! Hope it's a grand success! :D
Thank you so much for this video!
Great idea, thanks for sharing. I don't have a counter compatible with this setup, but this gives me a good start. Would also be great for linoleum block printing!
great video! excellent method. you did a great job detailing the build. very affordable, simple, effective.

Guess she gets even pressure makes for a more uniform finish

Arthritis, plus a sheeter cost $600. An engineer will make this workable.
Unintentional ASMR 😄
You go girl!!!
Brilliant
Excellent
Thank you so much 😊🙏!!!!!
Good idea 💡👍👍
Ingenious! Kudos for your creativity 👍
There's a fine line between genius and insanity
I admit you have to be obsessed with croissants (and macarons) to get them just right.
well done! thank you
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I can't read it but look at the picture. Thank you very much.
Genius 🎉

Good idea, how about putting some springs on the top of the adjusting bolts than you don't have to keep lowering it.
how do i find a rolling pin that the rod that runs through doesn't go all the way thru the ends of the handles?
Need a longer board, then cut a hole near the end for a hand hold.
Make it easier for pushing and pulling
Just GOOD 👌 ধন্যবাদ।
Very creative but a LOT of work!!!
That is some engineer mind .
Buena idea
Gracias!
If you do it manually you would do it faster
Beautiful mom
ME ENCANTO ❤
I was gonna skip out on this video until you pulled the saw out and then you turned into Handy Manny and got me curious.
Clever
Süper
Cool, but I'm WAY more worried about the damage from the screw on the top of the counter than undersider.
Good idea but this will eventually wear down your counter
Waaaaaaay more work than an electric sheeter but.... neat diy.

Im travis kraft i cook adobong manacc
great idea totally spoilt by unnecessary background noise that interferes with your commentary snd makes you hard to understand.
Be careful with your wrists, when you least expect you will have a surprise on your hands. Have an electric dough sheeter machine Good creation though.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😍😍😍💐💐💐💐💐
Dor the cost of new countertops you could have just invested in a sheeter. Your counteracts are toast
koskhol
I love your idea, but couldn't see the video till the end because of the music.
It it horrible!
Good video and a charming voice. The roller is interesting, but labour intensive though. Only for true 🥐 fans ☺️
