GIGI MITCHELL
Добавлен 7 июн 2015
Hi, I'm Georgiya. I'm an an artist and mom based in southern Indiana.
Function, beauty, attention to detail and environmental awareness are equally important aspects of my art process. I love repurposing materials to create new stunning and one-of-a-kind pieces. The process of creating holds a very special and sacred place in my life, and my goal is for each piece to carry that energy to the person to whom it goes.

DIY Dough Sheeter/Roller Anyone Can Build at Home to Laminate Croissants, Phyllo Dough, Pasta Dough
Просмотров 92 тыс.4 года назад
This Dough Sheeter/Roller can be built at home by almost anyone. My croissants used to be a hit or miss before I built this roller. Now I am always very satisfied with how they turn out. Use it to laminate or roll out any kind of dough sheet. The measurements of my materials: Countertop: H 1-1/2 in Cutting board: L 17 in x W 14 in x H 3/4 in Rolling pin: L 18 in (incl. handles) ; L 10 in (rolle...
Damn! That is such an ingenius take on a dough sheeter, thank you for sharing. Remember to dust off the flower before you fold the dough to stop delimitation. Generally you would complete more book folds to have a lighter product.
Well done
Brilliant! Thank you! 🙏
Awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
how do i find a rolling pin that the rod that runs through doesn't go all the way thru the ends of the handles?
That is some engineer mind .
ME ENCANTO ❤
great video! excellent method. you did a great job detailing the build. very affordable, simple, effective.
Nice work! I might have to try this.
Good idea but this will eventually wear down your counter
I don’t know what it is about your inflection and diction but paired with the Japanese Farm Raindrop Lounge Frog music in the background??? What a ride!!?? I did give myself a good chuckle (in the best way possible…a few times over on playback) at how I’ve never heard somebody speak with such restrained enthusiasm…about croissants… hahahaha I’m almost like this person really takes this seriously or it’s literally so serious that it’s not serious at all to you because this is your life, nothing would ever be different and never will be. But THEN, we went from the “are we all in on the joke or not?” Microsoft dough (my croissant dough) bakin pies everyday like Miss Ever Jane to frickin Betty Crock with the pot putting ALL our shoulders to shame!! Such a juxtaposition like you rolling out the hardwares and the blades hahhahaha seriously I was like are they like stuck on the prairie in Utah and dont know what a car is or are they in their basement in NYC on a freeze you to the bone winter day! I JUST DONT KNOW. Love this though thank you for sharing. I will be using some of this knowledge to build a roller for making papyrus paper, the ish grows like a weed down here in FL and takes over the yard every month.
Nice idea for small bakery business Here in South Africa its so expensive.
Thank you so much 😊🙏!!!!!
Cool, but I'm WAY more worried about the damage from the screw on the top of the counter than undersider.
You are brilliant
Thank you for this very informative video. Such a lovely way to recycle yarn. 😊
Blew my mind, totally. This is brilliant.
Genius 🎉
Need a longer board, then cut a hole near the end for a hand hold. Make it easier for pushing and pulling
I like where you're going with this. Have you made any improvements? I want to build something that's a bit easier and faster to adjust.
Good video and a charming voice. The roller is interesting, but labour intensive though. Only for true 🥐 fans ☺️
I love your idea, but couldn't see the video till the end because of the music. It it horrible!
Most excellent.
Süper
Great idea, thanks for sharing. I don't have a counter compatible with this setup, but this gives me a good start. Would also be great for linoleum block printing!
This is a great idea. I see a few ways to improve it, I will send you a video when I make it. I didnt even know this existed. I dont bake but wanted to make christmas cookies ad thought, they have to have an "auto-roller" ? lol. I was right
So smart wish I saw this week's ago!
Great idea
Good idea, how about putting some springs on the top of the adjusting bolts than you don't have to keep lowering it.
Brilliant
Hmmm... A couple of automotive valve springs underneath the rolling pin handles would give you a lot of adjustment. This is such a fantastic DIY project and I applaud and thank you for this!
Thank you so much for this video!
Unintentional ASMR 😄
Bolt cutters worked better on the clamp handles than the saw. Clipped em at the store. Really like the wing nut and spring idea think I’m a give that a try
i have been looking for a video like this and I am glad i finally found onel
Excellent design concept. Will use this to make an automated approach using 3D printers.
Hi Gigi, This is great I am trying for a while now to find the right clamps and bolts. I bought C-Clamps and I cant find the right bolts, every store says its a special kind of screw and no bolt will fit. Is there a chance you can link to the products you used on Amazon? Thank you !
C-clamps usually use an ACME thread. You won't find nuts to fit at a big box hardware store but google should help you find someone that stocks them in your country e.g. McMaster-Carr in the US. You can find information online to help you identify the parameters of the nut you require.
Be careful with your wrists, when you least expect you will have a surprise on your hands. Have an electric dough sheeter machine Good creation though.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😍😍😍💐💐💐💐💐
well done! thank you
I was gonna skip out on this video until you pulled the saw out and then you turned into Handy Manny and got me curious.
Wow!!! Very Nice. Great Idea. Thanks
Gigi, this is simply the best home-baking dough sheeter I have ever seen. You are a genius! I have wanted a sheeter for a long time. But, in the UK these are hellishly expensive. Now I can make my own without breaking the bank. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from Glasgow, Scotland! I am your most recent subscriber.
I love you 💔
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ I can't read it but look at the picture. Thank you very much.
great idea totally spoilt by unnecessary background noise that interferes with your commentary snd makes you hard to understand.
Her voice is soothing😍

I like this... Awesome
Dor the cost of new countertops you could have just invested in a sheeter. Your counteracts are toast
