Love your advice! I’m trying to play more smoothly/fluid with less effort rather than forcing the same “correct form” for every shot because I’m getting older and grinding to get in the exact “correct position” for every ball is exhausting and my play really drops off with fatigue.
Not 'as a unit'. The shoulders should pull the racket arm around as two sequential events within a kinetic chain.
You might be right, but coaching someone is about finding ways to help them. Thinking about the shoulders and arm moving together helps many people. Can you synchronize shoulder rotation and arm supination?
I think about 2 thinks on the forehand forward stroke. Turning the left shoulder back and behind me and radially deviating the right wrist to go around my neck.
