Thank god for you, Boba. You are my source of verified yet optimistic DC news, especially recently with the events at SDCC from DC and Marvel. I'm personally of the people that are not happy at all about the RDJ as Doom casting and I can't for the life of my understand the people that either wanted it or didn't but still think it will work. But that aside, what surprised me is seeing the vitriol from some MCU fans (or maybe people pissed at Gunn either for Cavill or the Snyderverse) that were laughing at DC's lack of announcements at SDCC and the new logo, while praising Marvel for bringing RDJ back and "listening to the fans". I'm glad that outside of the hyped crowd from SDCC , I'm not alone in the reaction skewing a bit more negative.
If Xolo KNOWS who's playing Booster Gold, that means he was involved in the tests for the role. And that's a good sign. I'll give it my vote of confidence.

I think we can say that it is also a move to revive the dying MCU. They bringing back the old fan favorites to hype the fans. I'm expecting that they will have more cameos and old characters back playing their roles again but a variant from other universes
I love it, I’m happy to see him back. He is proud of his legacy as Tony Stark, I don’t think he would come back if it wasn’t for something compelling, ESPECIALLY after just winning an Oscar. The MCU has its hits and misses, but they’ve NEVER missed with the Russo’s, RDJ, & KF all involved. Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame. Not one miss in the bunch. We’re in good hands.
I think the Booster Gold casting is genius. That actor is more Booster Gold like than any I can imagine. Booster Gold is a goofy dork that is so unwanted that he had to travel back in time and try to be popular amongst primitives. No other super hero could stand to be around him, except eventually Blue Beetle. So he’s not supposed to be the type of hero that people are in awe of right from the get go. He’s the kind that tries way too hard to be liked, and fails at that. And Booster’s kind of funny. It’s perfect casting. And he nails the hair. I’m telling you, give him a shot, he’s perfect for that role.
Maybe Booster also appears in Blue Beetle, just like we assume we can see Supergirl cameo in Superman 2025. I always feel sad about Rick Flag, love Joel Kinnaman's performance, and idk, hope he can be brought back by some multiverse magic. My hope/theory for Doom is that this RDJ Doom is still the big threat, but also maybe his downfall in part, (and maybe unknowingly by everyone else) comes from the main MCU Dr.Dooms appearance, whom doesn't share the same face. Or maybe after this Doom is beaten and the heros "breath a sigh of relief and go their separate ways, the main MCU Doom ominously steps out of the shadows. 😅

Really my main issue with the MCU right now is how fast they're moving. The OG Avengers had 2 whole Avengers movies and a Civil War where they all got to interact and have interesting and changing dynamics before getting to Thanos, and now these new Avengers/the new lineup of Heroes have barely interacted and don't really have relationships with each other, so them going up against Doom feels unearned. There should have been a couple of smaller scale Avengers movies to give them that extra time to develop before jumping straight into the next huge threat
As far as RDJ, i don’t like it, but i also believe this to be a ruse. I think they’re going to use this to bring in the real Victor Von Doom. I believe it’s been said he would be a variant of Doom. If you go back and look at setups throughout the MCU Multiverse Saga, they have convientwiantly set up a way for Doom to come in. It’s way too much to type out here but there are videos on youtube detailing it. I can only hope he is not the Victor Von Doom for the foreseeable future of the MCU. But with having probably more than 200 million in this movie already, they are going to have to pull out everything. I wish they had more time to really intro Victor. I would loved to see a movie based on The Books of Doom arc. It should never have been Kang to begin with. It never fit having Kang as the villain. The only reason I can’t agree with Robert Downey Jr. returning as desperate is because nobody said that when Hugh Jackman returned his wolverine. Also, there is a Tony Stark variant that becomes Dr. doom so there is nothing wrong with this pivot.
