Nice video! Bought 2024 Moonlight cloud calligraphy AWD for 48k .....6k off MSRP .....VERY solid vehicle and VERY well built. Cruises on hwy ; slight understeer on turns .....feels very premium for a midgrade line.....impressed
I bought the 2024 Palisade Calligraphy in steel graphite last week and absolutely love it but I need to spend time learning what every button does and customize the settings. I like the safety features with even the steering wheel giving a vibration to objects backing up. It’s a nice SUV to drive and even having 64 colors to change the ambiance interior lighting was fun. I choose a soft red for Christmas. 🎄
I’ve been driving my ‘24 Palisade since August. I’ve put approx 3200 miles on it and I enjoy this car every time I get into it. I’ve owned Accura, Infiniti, Tesla and Lexus models…and honestly I love this car more than any previous car. It’s not an exaggeration. The smooth ride, the tech and convenience features (love Hyundai Blue Link) are great and I save THOUSANDS by not going with one of the big luxury makers.
One big advantage of the push button gear selector is that once you are in drive mode, you can simply turn the vehicle off. The gear automatically turns to Park. I do that all the time on the Santa Fe.
I got mind night edition calligraphy 2weeks ago , agreed 100% that so comfortable as if you are sitting at home sofa . I love every bit of high technology on this palisade as well. Thanks for the great review.
Paul, I SOOOO appreciate the fact you don’t floor the gas pedal every time you accelerate a vehicle. It annoys me when other guys floor it after every stop or turn. I don’t drive that way, 90% of the time. When I’m watching a video I want to hear how quiet the engine is at normal acceleration, as well as full throttle. Thanks for showing both👍🏾
Wow…. I keep going back and forth between the Palisade Calligraphy and Pathfinder Platinum. Before this clip I was 80-20 leaning Pathfinder. This clip changed that. I hope Hyundai gives you an endorsement check. Thanks for the informational content!
I have a 22 pathfinder platinum turning in this August. Horrible car. The ride is not premium. Too much road noise. The technology is glitchy. Cheap internal materials. Poor gas mileage. And the third row could not even fit an elementary school kid comfortably. The passive entry on the doors has about a 50% fail rate. I don’t even use it anymore I just lock my car and open with the key. No Nissan for me anymore.
We bought a 2024 Palisade Calligraphy in Burgundy red with a white interior. I like the white as the piano black part on the door is replaced by a "wood" trim. It also brightens the interior. I also drive a 2021 Santa Fe Hybrid Limited, which being the top trim in the Hybrid, does not come with a heads up display. So, to see the digital speed and the Trip/Elapsed Time/MPG, I use the Cubes. The left cube on the Santa Fe shows the speed and the right cube shows the average mpg. One issue I had with the Palisade is my sound system stopped working. I think it was because of the various bluetooth connections I had. My phone's music showed on the screen, but I don't know where the sound was being played. The next time, I am going to disconnect my phone to my wife's Palisade. The Harman Kardon sound system is the same on the Santa Fe, but because the Santa Fe is smaller, the sound from the 12 speakers and subwoofer is much better than on the Palisade. My heart "vibrates" on a thump of the beat. I cannot get that feeling on the Palisade. I will need to tune the tone more. All in all, the Palisade is a pleasure to drive. I simply love the Heads Up Display. It shows so much information, that I don't even look at the gauge cluster. The vehicle is so silent and you can hardly hear road noise. The Palisade is not as expensive as other vehicles. We were choosing between the Palisade Calligraphy AWD and the Sienna Platinum AWD (which we had reserved) and was available to us. After driving the Sienna on the highway and finding numerous issues on it, we chose the Palisade. Plus the price difference was about $ 9000. The Toyota dealer had a mark up. The Hyundai dealer has a price increase with some seat protection and accessories. The moment I said that I did not want them, the dealer crossed it out and we did not pay for it. The warranty on a Hyundai is 5 yr 60,000 miles versus the 3 yr 36000 miles on the Sienna. The complimentary maintenance is 3 years 36000 miles on the Hyundai, but 2 year 20,000 (or 25,000) miles on the Sienna. On doing some calculations, I figured that my wife would have to drive about 150,000 miles on the Palisade until the Sienna became cheaper. My wife drives 3 miles to work. She would need to drive the Palisade for over 15 years. I know we will have a new vehicle by then. As such there is no way we would have gone with the Sienna. The plus points with the Sienna are the sliding doors and the cargo volume as compared to the Palisade.
We love our palisade only issues at 60,000km it has been in the workshop for 2 months only to find out it needs a new computer. Fingers crossed we get it back first week of may
I use the forward and reverse movements while outside of the vehicle when loading on a trailer or tight garage. It can steer itself away from the side edges.
Got the same version, same color a few weeks ago. The first few days were stressful being as I've been using Toyotas for the past 10 years { 2 RAV4's & 2 Highlanders } My monthly payment for the 3 year lease for a maxed out Palisade is less than I would have paid for the basic level Highlander XLE with a 4 cylinder engine, and no SatNav.
I wish the 24 santa fe was sticking with the "baby palisade" thing. I think the Palisade is stellar, especially interior wise, and it was in Hyundais best interest to build the Santa Fe around that. I'm not saying the new car will suck, but if i were designing the new Santa Fe, i wouldn't mess with that aspect. Just my two cents.
We have a 24 Kia telluride SX prestige which is similar . Mostly we love the vehicle. A couple things that bug us are ,you can’t lock the doors from the inside lock as you leave the vehicle. You must use the fob or the outside lock button. This should be customizable! The walk up tailgate ope/close feature. We would rather the kick as sometimes it is more annoying than manual. At least you can program that out. Overall love it though.
I got 29.5 highway mpg NJ-FL with my ‘24 Palisade. Far better than my previous Explorer. Love the HUD and other safety features, very pleased. Ps To OP, don’t give up on the settings. Hyundai will start sending u training videos, the car has incredible capabilities.
We rented this and a lincoln navigator. Of course the Lincoln won in size, but I actually enjoyed the Palisade better. The interior and tech was better in the Palisade. However the 2025 new lincoln design is coming
We just bought this calligraphy four days ago and it is so complicated we are thinking of asking about their return policy. The book is a three day read. We thought we had some things set and got into the car again today and nothing was set after all! Need to start over AGAIN. Very frustrating!
Come on! Most everything is intuitive and not like some others where you have to keep digging to find something. Part of owning a new vehicle is reading the manual but this SUV is pretty self explanatory with the setup screens.
I’m looking at getting a 2024 calligraphy Palisade black and dealer emailed me saying he could sell me a new one for 50k. Is that a good deal assuming there’s no hidden bs addons or should I try for more?
Amazing vehicle- Hyundai are moving in the right direction- they are not in the market to fool people in 2024 they are very careful with what quality products they are bringing to customers. Genesis have change a lot of his own people to hire Mercedes BMW Lamborghini people
I keep driving the dang calligraphy, I don't NEED a car, but DANG does it bug me that the freaking driver/passenger rest is SO LOW! I'm 5'5" average, proportionate, and I hate it!!! I think that the "massage" is a waste/can't feel it, and w a 5k tow capacity, where's my tow hitch? I'm going to get one, but I'm not loving everything. Lol, I actually like the santafe better, but need the room of palisade.
I just discovered your channel and am enjoying your videos. You have a very nice and relaxing voice, important for watching car review videos. I immediately subscribed. After watching this clip of the Palisade I agree with you saying the Highlander Hybrid isn’t worth $47,000 dollars. The ride quality, interior beauty, smooth engine sound, and features of this Palisade beats the Highlander by a mile. I’d rather spend more on gas having a good V6 engine and quieter drive. Thanks for your content.
The reverse gear has always been higher than the drive gear in any car Ive seen. It goes P, R, N, D… ext. Idk 🤷🏽 what car has the Drive above the reverse gear
JUST BOUGHT ONE DEC 4 2023 AND JUST GOT MY TITLE IN THE MAIL. PAID FOR!!!! YAY!!!! NO PAYMENTS

What specifically do you like about this compared to a Tesla? Just curious as I have a Tesla too
Congrats! Picking up my Limited this week.

I am about to get night edition. Do you love it so far? How about cleaning? Is it better than leather?

Thanks for watching, I appreciate the feedback! Definitely test drive both, they’re both great vehicles. The Palisade is a great choice though!

Very Underrated Channel!
That means a lot to me, thank you for the compliment!

We absolutely love ours we have the limited edition
Cars should add uploadable customisable/user skins for the driver's instrument display.

great video. I picked up the limited a few weeks ago and have been so impressed. Looks like you have some great roads to drive on too.
Best car review ive seen. My hats off to you buddy great job. Thank you.
I really appreciate that, thank you.

I agree, plus it has that turbo speed that’s missing with the Palisade.

Great video, but I sure wish you had pulled it FWD a bit into better light.
Will be with you 🎉🎉
Thanks for the video. Does it have power folding side mirrors?
No
I have been waiting for the 24 Traverse to be released. I may have found a reason to stop waiting..
Is ACC standard in calligraphy?
