My friend Rob introduced me to depeche mode in the 80s. Still going strong speaking truth. Not easy.
ITS amazing how this band dropping their first album in 1980 it's still doing it!!!...still Touring,Recording,Performing& Paving the way to influence so many other bands... D.M. still stands strong as one of the most influential bands EVER!!!.....

Rediscovered Depeche in my 40's & 50's...........i appreciate the intellect in the messages conveyed from the lyrics......Gahan fantastic and what to say of the creative genius that is Martin Gore.Can't stop hearing them.
First heard New Life at a house party in September of grade 10, 1984. I had to ask the hostess what was playing with her responding " It's Depeche Mode silly, don't you know!?" I've known ever since. Saw them on the Violator tour in Calgary, Alberta with Nitzer Ebb supporting. Pivotal. This track mirrors what's happening today.
Absolutely awesome & a NEW design for video and rhythm technique!!! I really appreciate what DePeche Mode brings to the public all the time!!! Never letting me down!

Liked them growing up. Never bought an album (cassette/CD). Then I hit my late 30's and seriously take a listen to their catalogue and now I am a giant fan.

Depeche Mode, has made another great masterpiece as no other band can, most of the crap nowadays is irrelevant, useless, has no creativity or meaning, but their music actually touches the inner soul of people who listen with an open mind. If we all keep chasing this old hatred, we're never going to move forward much further ahead in future "because life will no longer exist", then we'll all be going backwards, and nowhere good:)

I agree completely although they are sounding VERY much like Nine Inch Nails both lyricly and in sound. Anyone who is a fan of this song should maybe try listening to Nine inch Nails " The background world" and " sum zero ". I have grown up listening to both of these Amazingly Brilliant bands, and I am so relieved that between the two there are hours and hours and hours of creative beauty. As well as music that has meaning.
Try VNV Nation, you'll be amazed by what they do. Yes, they came after DM, but they have their own poweful sound. Try it, won't regret.

As an ancient fan, who tuned out to DM about 15 years ago, this was a welcome and pleasant surprise. The chorus in this fan remix is better than anything their appointed producers have come up with in a long, long time. Excellent. Thank you for sharing.

Depeche Mode is such a great band and so underrestimated amongst rock bands. What started as an electric pop band really evolved in one of the great rock bands of the last decades. And my God yes what a singular and great voice.
