On this day 7 years ago, the first ep of Madoka Magica premiered. To celebrate the anniversary of the series, I present my most ambitious project thus far. It took over half a year to finally finish with hard worked poured into it by multiple people. While not everything came out the way I had originally envisioned it would, I'm surprised that so many different pieces were able to fall into place as well as they did. Thank you to everyone who helped make this thing a reality and to all off you who continue to watch my dumbass vids.

Eh, I think that has a lot to do with the source material they’re working with. Madoka Magica is a fuckload cooler than SAO.
Not that this is a mark against this video, this was fuckin awesome (and definitely happened in 30 seconds).

Yeah they kinda miss a lot of symbolism when it comes to this series, it’s a fun abridged but it lacks the understanding of the franchise say SAO Abridged did
Madoka was “God” essentially, the movie was called rebellion, and Homura went against what Madoka wanted for selfish reasons
pretty sure the "title not making sense" was in reference to the 30 seconds part, not the Rebellion part

Even though this is abridged it’s still a roller coaster of emotion and it references itself along with staying true to the plot of the original PHENOMENAL editing AND staying extremely funny and entertaining. THIS RIGHT HERE is art. and i keep coming back to it. i hope they do Magia Record abridged when it comes out 😂

I mean that’s part of the point .houmra immediately latched onto modoka because ,she was someone who’s open and care’s about her so after many time loops houmra saw modoka more as an idea rather than a person. You can even see that in her wish , she didn’t only want to save modoka from dying she wanted to be her protect her from the beginning , in other words to reverse the roles ,whilst the abridged Version is more of a proper romance.

Yeah, I feel like that was a huge missed opportunity. Then again, maybe because everyone was expecting them to do it they purposefully didn't have it. It was to throw us off. Very clever.
I would have used it in the Mami fight, where Homura gets her manly voice back because she becomes edgy again. And then switch the voice again to an adult woman for Homucifer. But, hindsight is 20/20
Two things I’m going to guess right now:
1. Kyoko is either going to be edited out of this short, censored out, or they’re going to constantly wonder who she is if she is present.
2. Homura’s rebelling because Madokka was disappointed she only lasted in bed for a minute.
Well, guess 1 out if 2 ain't bad. Anyway, in all seriousness, I did like this quite a bit. Felt the beginning was a bit slow, but as it went n it started getting more consistent in joke quality. Anyway, here's to Madoka Concept movie in 30 seconds *evil laugh*

Hey question? Would you be interested in doing some minor voice work for some of my videos? I occasionally make some video game cutscene knockoffs from a game series called Hyperdimension Neptunia and I'm looking for a few new VAs for my next project (I made a special program-like-thing that lets me recreate the cutscenes from the game with full idle motion, lip sync, etc and with it I sometimes make some fake cutscenes). Deadlines are super lax and the workload is literally like 10-20 lines per episode.

Am I the only one who thought the ending to Rebellion actually makes sense and doesn't require continuation? For saying he didn't want to write any more meguka stuff, the writer did a good job with the sequel, giving it a related yet distinct style to the original. While not quite as "balanced" as the TV series, Rebellion, a sequel nobody asked for, felt nice and most importantly fresh. That being said I don't want any more meguka or i might end up suffering...
Regardles, this video was an awesome "sequel" to the last one. 10/10, longer than 30 seconds yet felt shorter than the 2001ASO pyro plastic "acid trip" scene.
No, it's been 5 years now so most people have come to understand the ending now (not that it is that hard to get, but character motivations can be tricky). It still is a hot discussion topic though!
Honestly I love Rebellion’s ending even more than the original series. It just makes so much sense. Someone as crazy as HomuHomu wouldn’t be happy with the ending she got, she’d make sure her waifu was completely safe from the marshmallowly bastard who is the cause of all this.
