Hi Tom and thanks for this. It was your original review that inspired me to buy the Expert Grill Pizza Oven. Went to the Walmart website and surprise Rollback! $97 and I snapped it up. Family and friends are thrilled with the pizzas we make.
Can't argue with the value. Perfect way to get into the pizza oven game at a reasonable cost. I have the one you are talking about with the motorized stone, still in the box. I'll get to it soon.
I just bought this on 1-21-2024 for $87.00! I'm glad I saw this because I was worried that it wasn't going to be very good. I can't wait for winter to be over and be able to use it!
Hold on it it and the receipt. Keep checking the price every week or so as Walmart will keep dropping the price. Got one today for $45. I've heard them get as low as $25.
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ yeah I've been watching. I didn't wanna pay much as I'm primarily using it just to sear steak after I smoke them(reverse sear). I'm sure I'll try a pizza but I enjoy pizza on my smoker TBH.
That smaller wood basket looks like the one from my Stoke oven. First thing I did with it was to drill out the two rivets so I could flip over the grate piece for more capacity, or even remove it entirely.
That looks great Tom! I wish I knew about this model before I got a 12” Aidpizza brand for $200 on Prime day a few months back. The one I got is the one you referred to in this video with the knob on the bottom. It’s not very practical because of the heat under it. Need full length gloves to turn it. I modified it by buying a small photography turntable, a long threaded rod, and washer and nut. So when I turn it on, voila, automatic turntable! My main gripe though is it’s advertised as a pellet oven, and like you showed, the damn tray is so small, by the time it gets up to temp, the pellets are already burned out! I now mix pellets and small lump charcoal chunks and that helps. I’m still not thrilled with it though. Leaks like a sieve, and I’ve never gotten the stone itself above 400F. Long story short, I think I may try this one. If you use it, it’s good enough for me!
