That strap at the back is for luggage handles! You're correct!
They removed the air tech/bubbles from the straps and replaced it with more comfortable shaped strap. That strap kinda reminds me the shape of straps from under armour bags/backpacks. I admit, They could've just put air bubbles on this new shaped straps but it's alright for me. It feels so comfortable to wear compared to the 1.0 strap!
I recommend y'all to try and wear em!

@@blueexia i gotta give this one to 2.0. For me it is bigger(physically for a 27L bag). I have both of the version of this bag. I gotta say the air bubbles of 1.0 feels like a gimmick and just there for aesthetics.
The really one thing that made me choose 2.0 is the right sidepocket! It has this pull tab that if you pull, It opens and you can put larger water bottles/shaker bottles and even food jars!
