No other guitarist is as melodic and as soulful as Slash. He's the living proof, that you don't need to play like Jimi Hendrix or Eddie Van Halen to be a legend !!!!
Only good thing about the current lineup imo. Fortus and the drummer don't suit GNR. Axl is just shit. They really should tune half a step down to help him out.
@@teezer123 Fortus fits GNR pretty good imo, and he’s the best rhythm guitarist they’ve had from a live point of view. While Izzy was great in the studio, he had zero onstage persona. Fortus brings that extra energy to the stage that makes him fit right in

Dang I was there and loved every minute of this gig. Did you know they played 2 concerts that night? First one for VIPs and the second for us normal folks. Even met Norman Reedus there grabbing a beer. If you want to enjoy Slash, you need to be to the right of the stage. He always plays on that side. Hope I get to see them again.

I thought they were doing a sound check, but nope, they were playing their full gig. I spoke to someone working the show there and he told me the first gig was for for the posh folks. I always hang around for a bit after the show to see if I can find any guitar picks on the floor. Didn't find any that night though. :(

He’s like Plant and Cornell. Dazzling voices but screaming that way isn’t sustainable. If you listen to any of those three as teenagers their ranges are stunning. He did kill it with AC/DC but his voice is unpredictable now.
8:50 demonstrates why I could never be a bouncer (even if I was physically able). How can anyone stand in such a stoic position hearing that phenomenal solo?! I mean, I'd at least have a stank face feeling that music! 😅
One good thing of being a successful rock star is you can wear literally anything you like. No one would go on street wearing what they wear here. Look at Axl's shoe! Where he got it from? Cool as fuck! I bet they probably wear like this into a 6 Stars restaurant too when everyone else there wear suits.
