This is such awesome, old school, heat that you just do not see anymore.
Even more credit to Matt for being able to get such heat while being so open and accessible to the fans. I’d have thought this type of crowd reaction died with kayfabe, but Matt proved me wrong.
As much as this night changed your career, you deserved it even more.
Nick Gage is soooo Goated and your so dope but now your unstoppable. This was my first time seeing Cardona like this. This match is Epic.

Matt cardona is the sole reason I became a GCW fan. I had never heard of GCW, I was intrigued to see a WWE lifer in a death match with a legitimate psychopath. Holy shit this match is everything, totally revitalized my love for wrestling.

People saying that “this isn’t wrestling” would hate 80s territory wrestling considering how real the wrestling was and how hardcore all the fans were back then. This match had the most old school feel to it and it’s one of the best heel vs face matches of the 21st century.

This was his Randy Orton vs Mick Foley moment. The people got to see how tough Cardona was. I think the fans loved it because of what Matt represented.. that wwe structure and they get to see their guy destroying a wwe system guy at the time.
Matt you should also do a Cardona Commentary for the Moxley screw job..would be a cool mini series lol

Awesome match, was really expecting a 'thumb tack' bag to be pulled out but with elite heads,hands etc inside it instead a little like the Lego brick version. Thought it would of been perfect!

Rickey Shane Page was a founder of 44oh.
Atticus Cogar had been testing the limits of Rickey's leadership up to this point. RSP turning on the rest of 44oh was like the equivalent of HBK turning on DX. For anyone interested in that angle of the match. This was a big match for multiple reasons.
Not to mention the RSP/44.OH vs Nick Gage/GCW feud that began after the main event of the NGI4 in 2019. It’s one of the best storylines in wrestling history imo.

44.OH were the best faction in GCW. I still don’t know what happened between them and Brett that caused their exodus from GCW but I believe Brett really screwed up with losing so many talented guys, especially Atticus.
