I would like to add the thickness of the numbers is 2cm so that you can be able to read more accurately even the water level lies on the middle of the numbers..thank you nice presentation it helps to our cadet...
napakalinaw ng pag explain sir. very informative. upload ka pa po ng mga video regarding sa pagbabarko sir, malaking tulong po yan. para sa. aming mga bagohan..
Waiting for more videos please keep on uploading . Cover topics related to celestial navigation, taking compass error onboard by amplitude and azimuth.
Hello! Thank you for watching my video. I am currently onboard and the internet connection is not that good but I will upload the soonest. Cheers mate!
Yes I already have that in mind. But to answer your question, the draft have an equivalent displacement (total weight) on the ship’s hydrostatic table. Duty Officer shall consult on it to get the accurate displacement and shall also apply correction depending on the density.
If in between 10M & 8M, it will be read as 9.50. Why? Because if the water level is above 8, it is already read as 9M. Then as you said, it is between 10M & 8M, hence, the reading is 9.50. For your reference, please check again the video where the length of each draft marks were shown. Thank you! And cheers for visiting my Channel. Hope you learn it :)
Onboard practice is that duty officer will read drafts on both side. I’ve never experienced as as 3M that I calculated the opposite side of the draft. But I’ll get back to you the soonest!
Just use Clinometer and find the Breadth of the vessel in Ships particular. Let say from Clinometer reading you get 1 Degres from portside and the Breadth of the vessel is 32.26. Now Here is the Calculation. 1x32.26= 32.26 32.26/57= 0.57 Ans 0.57cm if the vessel draft is visible from stradboard side and the draft reading is 5Meter then the Portside reading will be 5.Meter and 57 Centemeter.
@@robertlademora9860 I only using this method when the vessel berthing at Port and need to calculate the cargo onboard by means of draft survey calculation
Hi Matthew! Yes, I will make videos regarding calculating ship's trim but it will be when I disembarked on my present vessel. Please look forward for my upcoming videos :)

Hello, thanks for the video. Well, how can be find out draft of ship without looking at draft marks??
I'm waiting for answer.......
Well for starters, you can consult your LoadCal wherein the condition of the ship is entered. Within the LoadCal, drafts can be seen.

In reading when it is wavy, you must average it by estimating or wait for the time when the waves are calm.
