As a realistic Vols fan I’m hopeful that the Vols defeat Ohio State in a thrilling competitive game by making less mistakes, and great blocking for Nico along with if Tennessee can succeed moving the football with running plays. I also know that a realistic disappointing outcome is Ohio State at home succeeds outplaying Tennessee in a competitive game.
Tennessee may well win.....they are a fine team and capable but to think realistically winning by 17 is either dilusiional or you're just running your mouth.
Dylan Sampson will have at least 120 yards rushing(not 1 team has stopped him all year with over 900 yards AFTER contact). Ohio has a crippled O-line, going against the best D-line they have faced all year. That's a recipe for disaster for Howard(turnovers will insue). Nico just played in a cold(30s) game and statistically had one of his best games of the season. He gets a little better each game. He is also starting run more often. Tennessee fans will be at least 20k(maybe 30k) strong in the shoe. If Tennessee connects on 1 or 2 deeper balls, they will get to run thier sceme. Ohio hasn't played an offense that goes as fast as Tennessee. There will be no substitutions once a drive starts. Tennessee wears down opponents, and finishes teams late in the game. If Nico throws for 175 yards, that would be enough to win this game.
I’m trying to figure out why everyone is talking about Ohio States dynamic offense that’s barely inside the top 35 total offense. What do they do better than Tennessee on offense? Slightly throw the ball better?
@ I will give OSU credit for their pass rushers though. Nico has been sacked a lot this year. But as long as he doesn’t fumble when he gets hit, he should be fine.
