That’s going to be the problem, maintaining quality depth. When you have a lot of quality players, getting them playing time is a problem. That’s why so many players hit the transfer portal. That and NIL will determine if players stay around a program.

I said this on another page, whether true or speculation about “DADDY BALL”, that’s all gone now, and he can let it rip and not have to hold back so that other players don’t feel singled out, neglected, picked on, or disregarded. It’s all about merit, not that it hadn’t always been that way. We harp on Shiloh, but every defensive coach at CU says the same thing, he knows the D, better than anyone else. As far as missed tackles, if we’re honest, he didn’t miss that many, they just stand out when HE does. Also, even on the Pro level, DBs are not known for their precision tackling, even some safeties. They are expected to break up passes, intercept them, bring down receivers, not muscle bound running backs. Not an excuse, just the facts. I feet mad at him at times too, until I consider, he was probably helping cover someone else’s mistake.
