Naseem was awesome. I wont lie, he used to annoy me, but now I see he was just being himself and trying to entertain. Boxing needs someone like him or Mayorga when Pacquiao leaves.
What a legend, I found out about Prince at the end of his career but man he had my attention. I liked the way he would brag about himself with that British accent. It was classic
No other boxer of that time created that kind of excitement and enterainment, and won most of the 30 fights in good style, just had never been seen in a british ring, great talent in england. Made it up their in the top of boxing humble beginings
he had a tremendous talent. it's just that he was careless and irresponsible. and it seems he can handle himself pretty well, i guess all that bragging and showmanship was to sell the fights
Many fans scoff now at Hamed, so one-sided and humbling was his points loss to the great Marco Antonio Barrera in Las Vegas in 2001. It ruined him as a fighter and performer but it doesn't erase what he got done before that night; namely, whipping good solid fighters such as Tom Johnson, Manuel Medina, Wayne McCullough, Kevin Kelley, Wilfredo Vazquez and Paul Ingle. And losing to Barrera, who surely will be viewed by history as one of the great featherweights, is no embarrassment. (HBO)

I absolutely dislike his boxing character. But I totally get what he says in this interview. I might be wrong. But I feel like he just chose to have a different character and personality for the sake of his boxing career. It's like he wants audience to hate him and watch him to lose, a career based on controversy. While he might have been a lot more humble outside the ring. Again I might be wrong. But in this interview he spoke with a lot of sense.
He was disliked at the latter end of his relationship with Brendan Ingle. He wouldn’t let youngsters in the ring with him. He let everyone know he was the best. He was no doubt the best but his arrogance and attitude and behaviour made him disliked by many in the gym.
One of the greatest fighter and entertainer of all time, I feel that he retired at the right time and didnt ruin his legacy like Roy Jones Jr, who relied on his reflexes, speed, and as soon as he lost it he retired at the right time, unlike Roy who is continue to get knocked out and ruin his legacy.
@@blackhoodie4170 i already had a lot of respect for him after his stellar career but i found that the amount of clinching by jones was just annoying in a heavy weight exhibition match and i too did enjoy it greatly to be able to see such legends when i never thought i would even if it was dissapointing that tyson didnt win or throw any signature haymakers or just a head punch or two
He brought huge amounts of entertainment into boxing and he could back it up but he should have been smarter against Barrera cos he knew exactly what nas was going to do which was knock him out with every punch.
I wouldnt say best fighter ever, he was the best entertainer of his time in the ring and best fighter in his league. the phrase "best fighter ever" belongs to someone else
