    OT MIRI! I PASSED the NBCOT EXAM TODAY!! This was my second time taking it and I want to say thank you so much for all your content! I thought about all the stuff you taught me during the exam and it truly helped me paint a clearer picture of every topic that seemed daunting. You are a shining light in this field and I told myself I want to be one of those students who commented they "passed" on your page, and here I am today with the OTR added to my name. Thank you again for your helpful content! If you are reading this, don't give up! You are destined to become an Occupational Therapist - I believe in you!

      That is so sweet of you to say. Every time I see a comment like yours, I am reminded that this project is not in vain. Providing free resources comes at the cost of personal sacrifices of time and expenses, but then I am continually reminded that no gift is greater than the gift of being able to bless and support someone towards greater happiness, fulfillment and success. Miri! Do you have merch by any chance? I ask because I feel like I would 100% drop $15-20 on a well designed “Axilla Airlines” tee shirt just so I could wear it to the next AOTA conference 😂 that was the best thing I’ve ever heard! I’ve been so frightened about this exam that my anxiety has basically caused me to freeze. I’ve been so afraid it’s “too late to study” that every time I try, I spend more time stressing than actually studying! Your videos are the first resource I’ve found that’s allowed me to drop my guard and actually absorb some material, probably because I’m able to keep my hands busy with laundry or dishes while watching. I even feel better knowing I’ve got some kind of plan if I do fail the test in a few days because all the expensive books and prep tools had not done nearly as much for me as your channel has in the last few hours. Thank you!!

    • @MiriLee
      @MiriLee  4 года назад +1

      oh Kelly, what a sweet, thoughtful and heartwarming message! The thought of anyone wearing a shirt that says, "Axilla Airlines" made me chuckle and put a big smile on my face. Thank you for being here to share your journey with me. I'm so happy to know I can accompany you in the kitchen while you're doing the dishes or when you're doing the laundry and help make this journey less stressful for you. Thank you for all your love and kind words. I hope you'll continue to find yourself growing in confidence as you approach your exam day. Do not fear my friend. This test is a man-made test and there is nothing on there you cannot master. You will go on to achieve so much more than merely passing this exam! Sending love and big hug!

    Hi miri!!!
    First of all- thanks a lot!!!!! You are such an inspiring with your amazing explanations, strategies and smiling during all the videos!!!!you are a star in the Israeli OT students community which going to the test in this Thursday!!! There are couple of things we were wondering about:
    1. In Which position will we put someone with an anterior hip burn? Will he be on his abdomen? And in generally- we read somewhere that for preventing deformations on the knee joint the person should be located with a weight over him? Is this the only way to prevent that??
    2. About Tennis and Golfer's elbow- is the splint should be on a full elbow extension? And what about the wrist? should we consider it also in the splint???
    Thanks a lot !!!!!! And many hugs from the Israeli OT students that you just saved!!!

    Hello just letting you know I do not see the "Emergent (Survival)" chart posted in the study guide section.
    Will you be able to add that to the notes. I copied most of the chart via hand but there is still a part I am missing. Thank you!

      Hi Stephanie! I have added the rehabilitation portion of the study guide on the website so you should be able to review that now. Thank you for being here and studying with me, Stephanie! Have a great rest of your day.

    This is great, thank you!
    Can you please do a video on interview skills and what we should expect when going into an interview for a job in occupational therapy. (Types of questions that will be asked) The job market is becoming very tight and a little over saturated in certain areas of the country. I think we can all benefit from a video on how to properly master an interview.
    @OTmiri
    Thank you 😊

      Hi Macy! Have you checked the Career Guide on the OT Miri website? It has a sample OT resume, cover letter and job interview FAQs and answers and much more! I do plan on doing a video on this one day, but for now, go on over to the website and check out the job interview section. It'll give you a strong starting point: www.otmiri.com/career-guide/
