    Can we all stop and appreciate how these players were playing smash for upwards of 12 hours straight? They ran top 128 all the way to grand finals on the same day. You can see the exhaustion on these players faces I can’t even begin to imagine how much resilience it took for these two to last that long.

    When I saw Sparg0 after the first set I thought it was over for sure. His chance of falling asleep looked higher than him actually making a comeback. It was like 1 am and they competed for over 12 hours... And sonic is really draining to fight with aegis. You have to be on edge all the time - 1 mistake can lead to you getting edgeguarded and dying. Getting hits alone is hard enough because you have to catch sonic etc.. Huge respect for not going down after these first games and somehow making it through even though the difference in play compared to winners finals was significantly noticable

      They are a positive thing for viewers who are versed enough in the games to know by game length, or Best of Series who the winner is in just a few minutes or after the first video.
      You don't typically see anti spoiler videos, nor anti spoiler time added to videos anymore because they hurt the video's views as those minutes have less engsgement and makes the videos recommended less by the algorythim.

    Tbh seeing how long this tournament ran i think we should advocate for more rest times or better organization so players don't play for so long or so late. It was obvious many players were exhausted and others with health isssues. Ik smash is an endurance game as well but i don't think it's safe to put people on these screens for such a long time period especially if we want for most of them to give it there best as well.

    • @rizvan1632
      @rizvan1632 Год назад +4

      It's not like they played non stop. They'd play like a 15-25 minute set(including bans/between game stuff) and then rest for an hour before they played again.
      13 hours was too long though but that's because they wanted every set on stream and they didn't schedule it properly so loser could move faster

    • @nellio3981
      @nellio3981 Год назад +2

      @@rizvan1632 I guess so but some do like practice games and warm ups no? I definitely understand that's still part of being in a tournament but this one wasn't organized well since they had top 128, 64, 16,8 all back to back which as a viewer is already hard to see or focus on but I'm sure as a player it must have been hard too especially for the losers runs.

    • @blazeking5778
      @blazeking5778 Год назад

      @@nellio3981practice games/warmup over legitimate rest is on each individual player though. I'm not saying this couldn't have been split into two days, or had like a 6-10 hour gap in between parts, but yeah. It's so much that goes into events and planning where at some point, the player schedules get pushed to minor inconveniences. 12 hours is a long time, but that's a lot of people's life's with their jobs or careers anyways. This was a one off.

    Me alegro mucho de que Spargo haya tenido su revancha contra Sonix y le haya ganado la gran final con su gente y su pais, ahora si estuve apoyando a Spargo hasta el final, Sonix sin duda alguna es el jugador mas pesado o dificil de enfrentar debido a que te hace mucho daño con su gran agresividad cuando tiene la gran oportunidad y cuando tiene ventaja ya sea de menos daño o mas vidas te acampa de forma cuidadosa, ese juego suele ser aburrido pero no por eso se le va a restar todo el merito que ha hecho en los ultimos 3 torneos en lo que ha tenido resultados demaciados geniales, Sonix simplemente es todo un genio, una lastima que sus haters digan lo contrario, Vamos Spargo!!! 🇲🇽🏆

    Great mentality by both Sparg0 and Sonix. Sonix being able to recover from his bad loss in winners finals and being down 0-2 vs Shuton, and Sparg0 being able to recover from losing four games in a row against Sonix.
    That last game was godlike by both of them.
    Also, something interesting is that at the beginning of the year we had four players fighting for number 1(Sparg0, Acola, Mkleo and Tweek), and now, at the beginning of this new season, we seem to have four players again, with Sparg0, Acola, Sonix and Miya. Let's see who can pull ahead.

    I see that Sonix has a lot of potential, because I realize that the game was very even despite the fact that Sonix made many mistakes (failed grab attempts, opportunities to punish Spargo's failed attack) in short, if it hadn't been for those details, I think that he would have won. It seems he just needs to dominate the tensions a little more in the final games.

    Soy nuevo viendo este tipo de torneos así que disculpen la ignorancia pero por qué Sonix perdió si gano 4 juegos y Spargo solo 3? Además en sets estarían 1-1 no ? No entiendo jajaja gracias

    • @Ngerdg
      @Ngerdg Год назад +1

      Porque Sparg0 ya le había ganado un set completo cuando se enfrentaron en las Winner Finals (hay otras que son las Losers Finals y como su nombre lo dice, son las finales de los que van perdiendo). Sonix tuvo que ir a pelear contra el ganador de las Losers Finals, ganarle y con eso tener derecho a volver a enfrentar a Sparg0 en lo que se conoce como gran final. Estas son las grand finals, donde Sonix tenía que ganar 2 sets completos (lo que se le llama hacer "RESET" al marcador) por haber perdido anteriormente en finales. Mientras que Sparg0 solo necesitaba un solo set. Entonces Sonix gana 3 seguidos en el primer set (es en ese momento que se hace RESET) y luego le gana uno más, pero Sparg0 gana 3 y todo acaba.

    I can't believe I got genuinely excited by SONIC gameplay, but when two top players trade hits constantly and sets go back and forward, the nature of said character is more reasonable because Sonic is forced to get an opening instead of being pure defense. Interaction is what makes smash exciting, not the things played.
