Bro I moved to concord all the way from Afghanistan hahaha lmao, even way back then people were saying move to concord this was in mid 80s, concord is great place to live tho you got all resources to become anything you want in life, we got Bart multiple highway/freeway entrances, without traffic I can get to SF in 25 minutes, great place to raise your kids, the schools are pretty decent we also have one the best sports school in nation known as De La Salle HS that put concord on the map throughout the USA, so in my opinion great place to live & raise family

I lived in Concord for most of my life. Growing up there was a great place to grow up. I moved away only 7 years ago when my business in SF had to close. I wish I still lived there.

Todos Santos parks is a great spot if you want to see homeless sleeping on the grass area while your kids play. Also there are "no dogs allowed in the park" signs to prevent stepping on dog poop, but the awesome people do not care and let their dogs do their business there. TONS of food varieties, really can't go wrong. The Naval Weapons area is close by the refineries, which create horrible air quality. Research the maps created by the EPA and you will find out the unhealthy conditions created by the refineries. If you have to move to Concord, move to the areas closer to Walnut Creek and Clayton. Concord is in the middle of county and has the most things to do. It is a great place to live. There are areas where crime is prominent like the Monument corridor. It is no joke. Gangs hang out around the Monument and Detroit area. The schools are not that good. It is close to Oakland, San Francisco, Walnut Creek (shopping), and the outlets at Livermore or Vacaville. I gave it 7 out of 10.

Thanks for sharing. I will say that Concord is a pretty big city and school quality can and does vary in the city.

I’m so glad that the weapon station has closed, I was a US MARINE stationed there for A17 months(Marine Barracks Duty), it was a nightmare, basically like being in prison for the entire time.

When I was in high school, you would see the Marines stationed at the various entry ways and occassionally driving the perimeter. It was rummored the Navy stored nuclear weapons there and they had shoot to kill orders.

@@RichFlemingRealtor very true that was the protocol, if someone got between the two fence, halt who goes and the rest is history.
