I've played almost every single one of these games plus samurai warriors and more. Hell even the Gundam and Zelda spinoff of these games. You have to pay attention to which of your officers are in trouble and assist them or adjust if too many of them are dying. You can break off and solo if you are good at capturing outposts and taking out officers on your own which will lower the enemy's moral. Once you own an outpost allies will spawn from it and push on their own which can be used to flank and assist other officers. Technically if you rush towards their commander and take him out you can end the battle very quickly but it is very hard without whittling down the enemy's forces a little first.
This is a game where you help out your NPC teammates so they don't lose. Imagine your mates are using wooden sticks and the enemy is using machine guns. You don't fight everyone on your way, but focus on those who matters!

I love watching Asmon play games. I’ll watch him react to news for a few minutes but I can’t watch him react to news for 5-7 hours that’s nuts. But some of the plays games Asmon plays he tries to rush through them without reading anything about the gameplay. I don’t mind at all if he takes his time trying to learn how to actually play the game. The “problem” is that Asmon reacts to news for 5-6 hours and then tries to rush a game in 1 hour.
The problem with Asmon is that he clearly gets nervous and tries to rush because he doesn't want to look as he dosn't know and is bad... which inevitably ends up making him look bad anyway because he doesn't understand anything and he thinks he's stupid, he's not. Seeing other Streamers like Pyro the fat furry, It's simple, stop for five minutes, manage inventory, learn things and that's it, It's a stream, the "boring" parts are always going to be there because you're watching a person play without cuts, It's like when the rest play, sometimes they pause or read something to understand.
Don't stop playing games! If it's a new game just pre-play the game to figure things out. Delete the save once you do then when you go to play it on steam just pretend it's your first time. I also don't like not knowing wtf to do when playing games for the first time.
No need to lie about it. Just be open about having played the game a little to get familiar with the controls and gameplay concepts. Also, games should go back to having a proper tutorial accessible from the main menu instead of baking it into the main campaign. Those half-bakes tutorials are always sh!t and probably one of the main reasons people struggle with complex games these days.
This is just sad man. I have always been excited to watch asmon when a new release is out, and has been a major source of entertainment for me at work and this man just refuses to take his time and slow down when the audience could care less if he slows down. The age of asmon is coming to an end. Sad days bro.
I agree about him refusing to slow down and learn and/or take the time to actually just read through menus and shit. But "the end of asmon"?? No, dude 😂 did you even see the stream the other day of him watching the 2 hour POE2 presentation? If not, go watch it. He's 100% not "quitting" playing games on stream.
@aaronsandoval2910 the replies to this comment seem like they just don't like Asmon. If you don't like him, go away. It's very simple. (I don't mean o.p. btw)
Asmon you reacted to a video a few days ago about how modern games are being dumbed down, then now you go and prove the exact reason why modern game developers are dumbing down games in the first place, you literally said you can't figure out a game with more than 2 buttons. For someone like you who spends all day everyday playing all types of different games over the years, if you can't figure out a game with 2 buttons with all your years of gaming experience how can casual joe who plays a couple hours a week max have any chance to figure it out and enjoy a new game? It's either gaming is genuinely to hard for the average gamer and should get dumbed down or people just don't want to spend the time to learn new things when it comes to gaming and want the instant gratification of being good at something, what should game developers be catering towards?
I believe musou games like this one isn't really for everyone despite how it looks. That said, these games on easier difficulties should be really easy to pick up and finish even if you ignore all the tutorials and the more intricate game mechanics.
It's a musou game, it's more strategy than killing people. This game is clearly not going for the accessibility route and is doubling down on musou mechanics
I can't be the only one who actually really likes learning new things and mechanics? I'm 33 so around Asmon age but I don't relate at all. Complex games entertain me more and learning how they work is part of the fun. I get bored if it's generic and formulaic. I grew up playing fighting games so that's probably why. If there's nothing to figure out and build towards it's just a flaccid experience.
We don't hate it, but watching you handle it can be frustrating. When you get overwhelmed, stop, relax, and take a step back to think about the situation. There's no rush, so take your time. Another issue is that you don't bother learning the game mechanics. You say you get overwhelmed, but then you rush into things, which is rather silly.
I would said if he give some time learning and reading. It may only take 10 mins for him to meet “him”. I mean the tutorial not too good. But the gameplay and difficulty remind the dynasty warrior 2/3. I am so excited if they can make other characters with no limited playtime Too be honest, he didn’t do a bad job. We all know asmon learning path is a bit longer in action games. And it need times for him to learn, understand the mechanics to love a game. The origin demo is a fresh and good quality game for now.
I feel like prewatching one 18 minute beginners guide, off stream, for any new ish game would solve like 99% of the problems imo.. and I get how that has its negatives. I’m only saying if it got down to doing something like that or quitting.. and I understand there’s a bit of hyperbole in saying quit gaming on stream entirely, just sharing an idea
It's not really fun having to do that every time though, and that says a lot about the game if that becomes a requirement, where the act of playing it already feels like a job before you even started. If anything it's that the demo throws you right into the fray before you have learned what to do gradually over earlier stages. Asmon isn't bad at games, but he also doesn't seem to want to stop and read what to do sometimes, be that because it's information overload (this demo arguably is if you're new to the franchise) or because he thinks it will be boring for the viewer, maybe even that he doesn't fully care to learn the game because it's not a game resonating with him (DW is not a franchise I care about in example). That makes any game ten times harder.
@@nustaniel Dude, he literally isnt even interacting with the game, then blaming the game for having on-screen explanations on how to play. There is no excuse.
@@Mikoto_Tsukuyomi There's one after the other, that's the point. It's too many prompts all at once. And he may not care enough about the game to want to sit down and learn it. I think DW is a massively overpriced and somewhat boring franchise, I wouldn't feel inspired to learn it either. The demo is better tailored to those who aren't new to the franchise already aware of basic concepts it teaches you on the first few maps gradually.
Dynasty Warriors should be multiplayer. This being single player is just so frustrating for people who want to cleave through fields of wheat with their buddies.
I think this one is supposed to have multiplayer on full release. Some other musou games have multiplayer (I know SW4DX does at least) but the matchmaking and player base is almost nonexistent.
Are you live in cave? DW literally Multiplayer since long time ago If u talking about Origins, bruh it's Demo, they will add everything on Release lmao I hate when game is just Beta or Demo and people shitting like don't understand game isn't full release
Playing dynasty warriors on psp back in middle school was like the coolest thing for my child brain, riding horses, being a badass spear welding character.
It's funny when the game offers a tutorial that pauses action and allows you to read he skips it When the game gives the tutorial while letting you play, he can't even read it. He had said before he doesn't absorb information well, especially while streaming, but he doesn't even try
It's not that Asmon is braindead. This is him just 'phoning it in' any time he's playing a game he's not already interested in. It's like he clocks out early and never really tries to engage with it, so he gives 0 effort into understanding what's going on, or why.
Warriors Series is a Very Fun series all BARK Maximum Bite Makes you feel like a badass just gotta take out other badasses while your at it plus to understand territory is important to the Game as well
Can`t blame Asmon. This game is MUCH harder than DW8XL. Now you can`t just clean the map - you need to use all the stuff. Troops, healing buns, tactics, right moves, block etc.
Ngl, as a gamer, not reading basic instructions is Absolutely counter logic. By all means, you can do whatever you want. It's a video game. Sure. But denying the instructions that are clearly presented to you, then complain viscously for not knowing how the controls work really takes a blow to your presentable intelligence., or just that you're lazy. In other words..i can't take you seriously as a gamer. You're doing exactly what most game journalists do then make a bad write up for the game. Make it make sense.. And the funny thing is, after reading so many comments that address this, most of these would result in a ban, or some goofy counter argument that ends with "my opinion" or something that doesn't logically make sense to cover up the blatant disregard of simple instructions. And here's the hypocrisy, i'll still be watching more of his videos. At the very least, I can admit that much.
Dynasty Warriors was the Ghost of Tsushima back in the day. So glad Dynasty Warriors Origins is going to be modern with native resolutions and higher texture quality and better frame rates. Upscalers is a nice touch.
The older games relied on balancing base/outpost control over the battlefield with officer duels to advance the allied army, especially important on hard mode when your allied officers would get decimated very quickly!
So interesting lore about Asmongold: Eventhough he has played many different games in his life for a good portion he was addicted to Wow and as a consequence became terrible at any other type of game than an MMO, coincidentally he saw that playing new types of games gets him more views and people enjoyed watching him play other games, but since he sucks it’s super stressful for him for a time. And he developed an excuse to constantly say he sucks at games and can’t concentrate to help him not be as stressed about playing if he sets the expectation that he sucks right off the bat.
Watching him play games is legit so unenjoyable because it’s like watching a child or something. I know it’s prolly fine off stream by on stream it’s just miserable.
For anyone who is lost in the messaging of this clip, please watch the video that was uploaded 2 uploads ago in this channel. That will make this video a lot more understandable.
Asmon is too content brained. He can't focus on the game and always thinks on how to do content plays in any video game. Honestly should just do that after he shows competency because the only entertaining thing atm is not his content, its how bad he plays regardless of what funny quips he makes.
Yep, went exactly as I expected. This game fried his brain lmao. Dynasty Warrior is not a "braindead" action game that people make it out to be, it is an action game filled with multiple commands and management toward your troops and allies. You have to finish the game while playing smart and fast in the highest difficulty (If you are stubborn) before you could craft the "Braindead" equipment and weapon skills that enables you to roflstomp the game.
Asmon need to learn that it is alright to play in normal or easy difficulty. Z game should be fun, once it start feeling like a job or a waste of time then it is alright to quit or change the difficulty.
Difficulty settings should not be a thing. Think about it from the perspective of the game developer. You take all the balancing effort, and multiply it by the number of difficulty settings (unless you are Bethesda and just don’t care about it). The quality of the game suffers, and the player receives a worse product.
Some games just also really suck on the highest difficulty. I just stick with the normal/3rd-4th difficulty level depending on the game. Most games had the most thought and care put into those modes where you normally can't just walk through the game but it's not a slog either. This does usually mean a meta build/playstyle will trivialize it but for that you can either just go to the highest difficulty or do something less OP. I use to do higher difficulty modes but idk, most the time I just feel far more frustrated than accomplished.
It's so good that Asmon tried to play a DW title. I never thought that he would play any of a warriors type game. And tbh after so many years koei tecmo and ωforce did an exceptional job in this title! Can't wait for its full release! P.S. Don't chase Lu Bu 😂
I pretty much only watch your gameplay videos. It's sad that you don't want to continue them anymore, but I understand. Hopefully you will change your mind or not go through with it asmongold.
Him not being able to learn is why I don’t take his political take the slightest bit serious even tho I agree most of the time. Bro has an inability to even want to read and process information. Gamers like seeing that process. We wouldn’t watch hour+ long videos if we didn’t. Also another issue is he chooses convoluted games with lots of menus and contextual controls. You need to be MORE on top of that for those types of games otherwise your learning curve will be much steeper
Legit the normal first time dynasty warriors experience especially post dw4. Normally battles on multiple fronts you have to manage isn't start of game content. But as someone already this demo was built to give a taste of the midgame for ppl who gave played a warriors game before and highlight cool crap for new players to buy into it for release. Legit forgot about the demo briefing mentioning a powerful warrior on got blasted like back at Hu Lao gate in dw4. I can't wait for full release!
This got me in the mood for some DW action. I looked to see what's on STEAM and I heard good things about the Orochi games. Seems there was some discussion over 3 vs 4, but I decided to grab 3. It's a sale right now for Koei Tecmo games until Dec 4, so take a peek if you don't mind older games.
ngl the level of self awareness is what keeps me... you aren't the best at new mechanics because you don't give yourself the time to process the information.. it is not that you are bad at gaming, you just don't have patience and it shows, don't give up though.. just learn from your mistakes. We all believe you are an incredible content creator and can be an even better gamer. You already retain a bunch of world information, gaming isn't that hard if you just slow down to perfect your weak points and once you get it, it clicks. take care of yourself, its not that serious ~ keep it golden!
As I've often said you suck at games but watching you struggle is great comic relief lolol. That said you're an inspired streamer and content creator!!!!!!!

I think yall are overthinking this. He wasn’t aware that the game was this complex, and he tried to learn it during a livestream and it was, understandably, overwhelming. Not a big deal yall are making it seem.
It's true that this one is harder than previous games, but it also give you so much more tools to deal with problem. You only need to take more times getting used to all the tools.
Meh.. Honestly, this time around I dont really blame Asmon. Maybe I just am not into this kind of game.. but the entire battle mechanics just looked overwhelming. Its like its supposed to be a top down strategy game.. but they force you to play first person lol. I prefer one or the other. The only first person/3rd person strategy I accept is maybe stealth based games like Splinter Cell or Agent 47. Any other RTS should put you in the position of "god". Overlooking the world and moving things around like chess pieces. Putting yourself in the battle and having to manage troops and do all that while also fighting yourself, it just seems like a lot.

I have the oppostite problem. Vids like these I tend to skip a lot. But I can watch his reacts and news for hours.
The problem with Asmon is that he clearly gets nervous and tries to rush because he doesn't want to look as he dosn't know and is bad... which inevitably ends up making him look bad anyway because he doesn't understand anything and he thinks he's stupid, he's not.
Seeing other Streamers like Pyro the fat furry, It's simple, stop for five minutes, manage inventory, learn things and that's it, It's a stream, the "boring" parts are always going to be there because you're watching a person play without cuts, It's like when the rest play, sometimes they pause or read something to understand.
this, the audience isnt going to quit because he spends 10 secs to read the instructions
This.
Don't stop playing games! If it's a new game just pre-play the game to figure things out. Delete the save once you do then when you go to play it on steam just pretend it's your first time.
I also don't like not knowing wtf to do when playing games for the first time.
That would be dumb to lie about and it still shows your game time on steam. Why lie about something that simple, sounds childish.
Gross lie
No need to lie about it. Just be open about having played the game a little to get familiar with the controls and gameplay concepts.
Also, games should go back to having a proper tutorial accessible from the main menu instead of baking it into the main campaign. Those half-bakes tutorials are always sh!t and probably one of the main reasons people struggle with complex games these days.
I can't believe that Asmongold was the Bay Harbor Butcher all along...

This is just sad man. I have always been excited to watch asmon when a new release is out, and has been a major source of entertainment for me at work and this man just refuses to take his time and slow down when the audience could care less if he slows down. The age of asmon is coming to an end. Sad days bro.
I highly doubt that
I agree about him refusing to slow down and learn and/or take the time to actually just read through menus and shit. But "the end of asmon"?? No, dude 😂 did you even see the stream the other day of him watching the 2 hour POE2 presentation? If not, go watch it. He's 100% not "quitting" playing games on stream.
he react and politic streamer now. Accept it
Reacting to videos is all his brain can handle anymore I guess.
What do you mean that the red guys are not my enemies?
I believe musou games like this one isn't really for everyone despite how it looks. That said, these games on easier difficulties should be really easy to pick up and finish even if you ignore all the tutorials and the more intricate game mechanics.
Exactly. He is the type of “normie” gamer that these videos critiquing video game difficulty make fun of.
@@Kensuke0987 So wrong lol
Remember, folks. This is the same guy who shamed people for not using his exact keybinds in WoW 10 years ago.
Skipped forward then heard asmon say “im gay bro, im gay!” Lol
It's a musou game, it's more strategy than killing people. This game is clearly not going for the accessibility route and is doubling down on musou mechanics
I can't be the only one who actually really likes learning new things and mechanics? I'm 33 so around Asmon age but I don't relate at all. Complex games entertain me more and learning how they work is part of the fun. I get bored if it's generic and formulaic. I grew up playing fighting games so that's probably why. If there's nothing to figure out and build towards it's just a flaccid experience.
Dude, go to therapy, this behavior is not normal. Don't let it go, just deal with it. Don't wait until you reach your breaking point.

We hate it because we read and understand but you don't read and play suboptimally.
Asmon needs to stop caring what the hell people think
So he DID NOT face "HIM" yet 🤣
I would said if he give some time learning and reading. It may only take 10 mins for him to meet “him”. I mean the tutorial not too good. But the gameplay and difficulty remind the dynasty warrior 2/3. I am so excited if they can make other characters with no limited playtime
Too be honest, he didn’t do a bad job.
Asmon the kinda guy to get an anxiety attack when the Doordash driver knocks on his door
Dynasty Warriors should be multiplayer. This being single player is just so frustrating for people who want to cleave through fields of wheat with their buddies.
its definitely been multiplayer in the past. i played with my buddy like 20 years ago couch coop lol
I think this one is supposed to have multiplayer on full release. Some other musou games have multiplayer (I know SW4DX does at least) but the matchmaking and player base is almost nonexistent.
@@JohnSmith-tk7ntYeah they’ve had couch co-op for a while but not many have online multiplayer
They are multiplayer..

Playing dynasty warriors on psp back in middle school was like the coolest thing for my child brain, riding horses, being a badass spear welding character.
I wish Dynasty Warriors would have blood effects like that one Berserk Musou game.
Asmon's attention span is measured in Nano seconds.
It's all fun and games until Lu Bu shows up.
But that IS the fun of the demo XD
Didn't even get there lmao
I still remember DW2, shooting 100 arrows at Lu Bu to get his health as low as possible without triggering his healing 😂
@@math_7911 Those were the days
It's funny when the game offers a tutorial that pauses action and allows you to read he skips it
When the game gives the tutorial while letting you play, he can't even read it.
I'd also just give up and not fix my problems if i had millions in the bank.
That sounds like some deep seeded resentment there, pal. 🤣
It's truly impressive how bad Asmon is at starting new video games. I hope he doesn't actually quit playing games on stream though.
Warriors Series is a Very Fun series all BARK Maximum Bite Makes you feel like a badass just gotta take out other badasses while your at it plus to understand territory is important to the Game as well
Old man yelling at clouds.
Can`t blame Asmon. This game is MUCH harder than DW8XL. Now you can`t just clean the map - you need to use all the stuff. Troops, healing buns, tactics, right moves, block etc.
Go back playing the korean visual novel grandpa 🗣️
Damn, I remember playing Dynasty Warriors 4,6,7,8. They were just massacre simulators and everything looked just awesome
Last time I was this early I ended up with a baby
YO! That's crazy lmfao
The only way to get Asmon to learn is to force him into unskippable tutorials that won't let him pass until he succeeds.
Asmon would have been obsessed with any DW game from DW6-DW8
We don't hate games here on youtube... just some games are more interesting than others...
Watching him play games is legit so unenjoyable because it’s like watching a child or something. I know it’s prolly fine off stream by on stream it’s just miserable.
A child would actually learn to play the game.
all he needs to do often is spend 10 secs reading the instructions
Yes, it can be painful. But it's also painful reading your badly written comment 😂
I hate dynasty warrior games they are BORING
Nah it painful but sometimes funny as shit 😂
This game actually plays a lot like a souls game, Asmon tried to tackle it like a hack and slash that's why he kept getting eaten by Hua Xiong
he gets so worked up that he doesn't even really look at what he's doing half the time lol
13:37 I like how Asmon thinks he’s winning by slashing a bunch of fodder when in reality he’s being dominated.

Asmongold is in that one uncanny spot between a casual and a hardcore gamer.
It's so good that Asmon tried to play a DW title. I never thought that he would play any of a warriors type game. And tbh after so many years koei tecmo and ωforce did an exceptional job in this title! Can't wait for its full release!
P.S. Don't chase Lu Bu 😂
Its almost as if you should play games off stream. And not torture yourself with the hardest difficulty. What a concept.
As a RUclips viewer I don’t hate when you play games. Just some of the games you’ve played lately have been mid tier at best.
I pretty much only watch your gameplay videos. It's sad that you don't want to continue them anymore, but I understand. Hopefully you will change your mind or not go through with it asmongold.
This Game Made Him Quit All Video Games

That battlefield map looks like the Presidential Elections map 👀
I hope he doesn't stop playing games on stream, i really like it when he does.
It’s super normal to not be able to immediately figure out a game, especially when streaming, games are about failing and improving, it takes time.
This man single handedly helped me push through the elden ring dlc and now he wants to throw in the towel?!?
ngl the level of self awareness is what keeps me... you aren't the best at new mechanics because you don't give yourself the time to process the information.. it is not that you are bad at gaming, you just don't have patience and it shows, don't give up though.. just learn from your mistakes.
Here we go again 😂
As a first timer DW fans i enjoyed playing it yesterday, asmon problem stems from himself 😂
2 games in a row that he shouldn't have played on stream. Specifically not the way that he insists on playing them.
It’s kinda funny to see this after him ranting about games being dumbed down too much and “too easy” a few videos ago. Can’t figure out Stalker 2 or this game… This is why devs add yellow paint y’know.
You don't need to impress anyone. You mastered WoW long ago and we know you're capable. If trying to impress us is getting in the way, or if this is a source of stress, I'm sure you'll know what is best for you.
