    How many hours does your generator from highschool have so far and do you notice any brake down like wear and tear and did you need to change filter how often?

    Hey Charles loved the video, quick question I'm heading into my senior year and I'm thinking of trying the tent out. The question is what altitude you started off sleeping in so your recovery wouldn't have much impact?

    • @charleshicks
      @charleshicks  4 месяца назад +3

      Honestly, I started very low (2-3,000 feet) and built up slowly over a period of a couple months and eventually years! The last thing you want to do is compromise your recovery for marginal gains. At the time I purchased mine, I had a personal hypoxico salesman who was able to walk me through the whole process and make sure I did things safely, so I’d shoot them an email and see if that’s something they still offer!

  • @FinnsArt

    Hey Charles, great vid! I’m considering buying a hypoxico I found for cheap off Facebook marketplace, would breathing through a mask hooked up to the generator and monitoring if my blood oxygen level drops using an oximeter be a good way to check if it works?

    • @charleshicks
      @charleshicks  4 месяца назад

      Absolutely! Definitely be careful and make sure it doesn’t drop too low. I can’t speak to the comfort level of a mask, but it could definitely be a good way to get the hours in if it works for you!

    I have one main question: are you afraid that there will be a malfunction and you will get so little oxygen that you’ll pass out or worse? Is there some kind of independent sensor (not in the machine itself) that test the oxygen levels don’t go down to dangerous levels?
