We continuing our road trip along the Plenty Highway and say goodbye to the Northern Territory, crossing the border into Outback Queensland. Our first overnight is in Boulia, famous for the mysterious Min Min Lights, with thousands of sightings of these unexplained phenomena over the years. Will we have an encounter of our own?
Then it's back on the bitumen for one of the most memorable stay's we've EVER had... at one of the country's most isolated Outback pubs! Starry skies, hundreds of kilometres of nothing but Outback, and plenty of beverages with one of best Aussie characters you'll ever meet. This is one experience we'll never forget!
And can you believe landscapes like this exist here in Australia? We've never seen anything so awe-inspiring in all our time caravanning Australia!

We love Middleton Hotel, were there way before Stoney and it felt like going home to grandma and grandads! Can’t wait to visit again! How good is outback Qld 👍👍
Looks like more black top on the plenty. So pleased we did a lot of these iconic outback roads when they were really just tracks. Loving the vids Feelgood fam 🥰
Middleton pub, good burgers, great cold beer and a welcome rest spot. Everyone should try and make an effort to stop and support these icons 😊

Nearly lost our awning at the Hilton in a sudden gust. From memory there was an old community hall that had seen better days across from the pub. I remember the lookout being a pleasant surprise and wasn’t there an old ruined stone cottage remains of a Kidman outstation somewhere out there or am I thinking of somewhere else? Edit - just looked it up - those ruins are down near Birdsville.
When we get our van I will be asking for the back to be blank so we can use it as a projector screen.
It’s our favourite family activity and so good if you all want to be outside for a couple of hours around the fire with other travellers and keep all the kids happy too 💙😅🙌
