The chin of the sheep feels like a bag (called "bottle jaw") when it has a high parasite load because the blood presure is low or blood proteins are lower and liquid ends up accumulating outside the blood vessels, like under the jaw

Cool video lad 👌, I like the sheep yas keep , Horns look cool & handy for handling. Are they the Black faced mountain sheep crossed with a Cheviot? I'm in Wicklow my self , I like the Wickla Cheviot, hardy, protective, good size, lamb out side.
Oh jeez mate, you can’t be stopping moose from backing the sheep, he just want you to let him fill the race right up for you! He could probably keep a constant flow of sheep up to you in the blue squeeze chute thing! Out of interest what you your lambs have made at a conventional sale?

karol i love the videos in the mart. Can you do more videos on the mountain.👍
Will do!
Amazing horns on Ivy , ive never eaten the horn of a sheep yet.

Those are some seriously beautiful woolies 😂
Only problem with geese is they are mean - we had them on the farm when we were kids and they would chase and bit us
One goose. The lone goose will bond with the ducks or your chickens and protect them!
When it rains it pours! Lol at least you had someone to come with fuel!

Predominantly mayo blackface but we put cheviots to them and have about a hundred or so Cheviot cross ewes. 😁
@@EweTubeIreland ahh nice 👌
barbers pole worm maybe if its in the area
I don't think it's as common in ireland but it's possible Steven!
Could be rumen fluke
Geese are wicked don’t know if they couldn’t hold their own against foxes 🦊
Did you sheer that lad sitting up on the hurdle near the beginning of the video ? He had a fair old head on him.
All shorn! 😁
That's a decent trailer
Dose of zail for that sheep.
Ivy is a good girl
Bro what's the point in organics if that's the money 🤷♂️
average payment 7k -10k year on top of price lamb not bad at all especially for hill farms
@@paulcallaghan9953 is that subsidies?
Is that subsidy ?
Good payment for not changing much. 😁 Overall I do wonder how they’re going to create a market for this organic lamb!

Similar money i'd say Colin! Maybe a few euros less.
@@EweTubeIreland so do you need finished animals to get the organic premium or is there not really a premium?
If you don't need ewe lambs for replacements dont let the horned rams to the ewes. Go with the cheviots. Your dad got great money for his.
You’re right Shane and I’m going to let the cheviots out first this year to get a head start. 😁
a not so bad price for 28 kilo mountain ram lambs
It was a good price! Nearly 80 for them!
Why Jo not do them
Busy working!
