UK BBQ Week Day2 - Sunday Roast

  • Here we cook a Sunday Roast for #ukbbqweek entirely on the Monolith Pro Series 2!
    We start off with a rolled pork shoulder with a simple salt and pepper rub over a Pirex of water, apple cider vinegar, carrot, onion, & garlic.
    Once the pork was about 30 mins out, we took out the Pirex and poured smoking hot lard over the pork to drip on the drip pan under, brought that back up to temp and put the par-boiled potatoes in there.
    Pork out and resting, potatoes turned, veg in to boil and pans with lard in to heat up for the Yorkshire Pudding.
    We used all the juices caught in the Pirex to make an amazing gravy.
    Once the oil is smoking, poured in the batter mix and rotated after 20 mins. Another 10 mins and they are done.
    Now time to carve, server everything up get one’s self in a state of food-coma! Yum 🤤
    The volume of space and versatility is amazing in the Kamado.
