  • A must have for you to keep your Harley-Davidson motorcycle cooler. Here's the links for the items I bought to help keep my built S&S 124" cooler. With the oil filter it will be the last one you will have to buy since it's reusable.
    I don't claim to be a mechanic, but I try do my most of the work myself on my 2018 Street-Glide and want to show it's possible for somebody else to do also.

      Appreciate that! Definitely worth it in my opinion. Also have it paired with there Flo oil filter that helps reduce heat by itself and is reusable. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Great detail bro! I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these. Living in South Florida with a built 128, I'm like you in that I've had to shut my bike down a few times because of the heat. I have a thunder max oil cooler fan but it just isn't enough. Since you've installed the UC, how has the heat been? Do you notice a change?

    • @bigherk80
      @bigherk80  11 месяцев назад +1

      Appreciate that. Yes I’ve noticed a change, and l’m very happy with the kit. Fans kick on as they should because I got stuck in traffic on different occasions since install and they kicked on both times. Haven’t put a temp gun to verify but again I’m happy with kit.

    First off, great video.... secondly a probably dumb question but here goes....once you have adapters on for the oil filtet does it just easily screw in and out?

    You skipped the most critical step, actually trimming and cutting the fairing 😢 this is what I was watching for, to get any tips.

    • @bigherk80
      @bigherk80  3 месяца назад +1

      I used a jig saw with a regular blade. Taped it off where I was going to cut, cut it then test fitted. Had to trim a couple times to get where I wanted. Take your time, it’s better to not cut enough because you can always trim or cut again. Can’t put back after it’s gone if you cut too much the first time. Again take your time! Thanks for watching and commenting!

      @@bigherk80 thanks, I've completed mine now. I used the method shown by ultra cool (razor knife). The ambient air temp was around 92F, (i live on the equator) after riding an hour or so and then getting back into town traffic the led/fan kicked in.
      I installed a Flo filter as well so think that was helping keep it under the trigger temp.

      @@bigherk80 Reason I say is because other installs I've seen, the plug wire is down and people run the wire to the bottom of the frame, and it makes routing the oil lines a straight shot instead of bending them to match up with the ports on the engine case. But what do I know.....LOL
