Hi, my light illuminates the whole garden but it also shines into my neighbours house at the back of my house causing them disruption. I’ve lowered the light and sensor as much as possible but it’s still quite bright. Any idea on how to reduce how far the light “reaches out”? Thanks in advance.

      Hi,
If your light has a manual override sensor built in (most of them do) then all you have to do is have your switch in the ON position ( the light is in motion sensor mode and will operate when movement is detected) , next step is turn the switch in the OFF position and quickly turn it back to ON position. That should override the sensor and the light will stay on until you turn the switch on to the OFF position, wait 30 second to 1 minute and then turn it to ON position again which will then put the light back to motion sensor mode.
All lights are similar but there might be different methods of doing this depending on the light manufacturers. Some of them requires the switch to be turned 3 times ON and OFF to override the sensor, but generally my first line of answer will work.
Please let me know how you got on and if you managed to do it, alternatively let me know what brand is your light fitting and I will look in to it for you and dig the answer up.
      Many thanks
      Best regards

Any advice on how to reduce PIR causing light to flicker on and off in windy conditions, when the PIR detects movements of shrubs and plants ? - It is frustrating that the "Sensitivity" is only per Distance, rather than amount of movement in View. Since I want to reduce, and remove the PIR flickering the lights on/off when plants move in the wind. I guess the only solution is to point the PIR in a different direction, or remove the shrubs !

Use a strip of black electrical tape and cover half way of the motion sensoring ball. blocking the part Where the shrubs and plants are triggering the light. Sometimes you have to double the tape up.

I wish Manufacturers would realise we need to seeeeee the writing, perhaps in a gloomy, windy environment whilst up a ladder and performing an acrobatic manoevre, newly learned, whilst holding tools. Please can we have at least clear white lettering. Better still a small glowlamp, housed in the PIR cab with suitable light outlets that would light the letters. A single accessible button would (always) turn on the display. A transparent surface with a micro-sticker label would be sufficient.

How do I put back my light on sensor mode only. My light doesn't want to switch off its just on the 24hours

      Hi Luis ,
If you have a switch for the light, turn it off and wait around a minute, then turn it back on. This should solve your issue.
If you do not have a switch for it, then you would have to do this in your fuseboard. You would have to turn the power off to your lights , wait a minute or so then turn it back on.
If non of these solve the issue , you have a faulty light and it would need replacing.
      Hope this helps,
      Best regards
      David
