Lifelong Stanford fan here, who grew up watching John Elway. Thank you so much for posting this! There’s so much happening here:
- Al Michaels’ one liners (The Stanford Band needs is a “seven-second delay.”)
- John Elway, throwing darts.
- Anthony Allen’s bandana.
- Mt. Saint Helens (!) threatening to erupt.
I will miss playing the Huskies every year. May we meet again?

@@johnmanning4097 In the '80s if OU played a QB who would later play in the NFL...they almost always lost. Elway started that trend.

​@@johnmanning4097 he beat #1 Washington and Ohio State in 1982. Had a top 10 Arizona State beat the same season but Stanford allowed a last second TD to lose 21-17. Had Cal beat too. Not sure what happened at the end of that one. Lol.
