Thanks a lot for this video. I'm looking to get into straight razor shaving and I"m currently doing a crap-load of reading/researching. This one has features that seemed appealing, but for the most part, I don't go by the companies opinion and kept digging until I found this, as well as a few others on youtube. This video was thorough and obviously made by someone who has a lot of experience with straight razors. Curious to know who the other RUclipsr was that you sent the razor back to. Did they do an update? Much appreciated.
I honed this razor for Sinatra Lennon. But I did provide him with a vintage razor that I sent him. The Naked Armor Razor would not take a serviceable edge no matter what I did to it. So he did a review on the "Palmer" straight razor that I sent him. Shoot me an email at jtonarelli@gmail.com. Any questions you have about shaving with a straight, or honing razors, I'm happy to help. Or, check out Razor Honing group on Facebook. I'm an admin there, and we have a great group of like minded people that like sharing information on all things honing razors.
1:50 I correct myself. I would much rather spend $5.00 on a Gold Dollar Razor. They actually take a nice edge. Gold dollars are completely serviceable. Ive successfully honed dozens of them. This razor is not as good as a Gold Dollar Razor, and it is 20 times the cost.
You’d recommend a larger sample size? Respectfully, I won’t spend $120.00 or more to test another one of their razors. Let alone more than one for a larger sample size.
Glad to know that I’m only partially to blame for my lack of success with this razor!

@@fishinjunky thanks for reaching out. I'll check that group.
I paid $139 for my Thiers Issard.
Bought a second one.
I have purchased Gold Dollar razors and like quite well. The 208 comes ‘shave ready’.

Please set the gentleman up with a good one. He deserves better.
