You have no idea how helpful your video was. I'm sailing next month in April out of NYC. I knew about the PCR test but had no idea about the Bermuda authorisation (website), etc. Why doesn't NCL tell us this when we pay? Are they hoping for changes/updates closer to our sailing date? Not a sign, red flag, etc on the NCL "Prior to cruising" link at all. Finally found some info on NCL after a deep dive to multiple links on their website. This is why CruiseTubers like yourself rock.

Hewwo!! Great video. I loved sailing on the Norwegian Breakaway right past the Statue of Liberty! But on my sail away, they were playing Kelly Clarkson "Breakaway".
I will be going on the Breakaway from New Orleans on March 27th. Will be interesting the hurdles to go through to get on the ship. I am READY to cruise!

There are several restaurants to choose from. Most are free. If you book a “specialty restaurant” (like the steakhouse) there will be an additional charge.
Heading to Bermuda on Carnival next week. How was the turnaround time on the Bermuda Authorisation after you submitted it with your negative test results? Was it a simple process?
Looks like things have changed. We're sailing this Sunday 7/31/22 and the requirement now is to get an antigen or PCR test two days in advance of embarkation. We plan to get tested at a local urgent care office the day before and then bring the results with us Sunday. We also need to be double vaccinated and show proof of that. I need a vacation from planning this vacation. A lot of stress not knowing whether one or both of us might not be going on this cruise. From this point forward I will not plan ANY vacation or activity that requires COVID protocols. Enough already.

Most of those requirements were being dictated by Bermuda. I’m pretty sure they have relaxed a little. Have a wonderful time!

It was very simple and we got it back in a couple of hours. You just have to upload your negative test and wait for the approval.

Back in October it was a requirement for Bermuda. It is no longer a requirement.

I’m traveling on this cruise in 3 weeks. What is this authorization To enter Bermuda form?
It was required by Bermuda in October when we were on this cruise. It is no longer required.
How long does the whole process take to go on the ship
Back in October, it took about 2 hours. The requirements have changed in a positive way so I don’t think it’s like this anymore.
Do you have to get a travel visa when you take a cruise to Bermuda?
At this time, yes you do.

Why do you need Bermuda authorization? I from Canada never heard
Because of Covid. This was from last year. I don’t know if you still need one today. Please check the NCL website for current requirements.

We purchased ours through Costco. They were $110 per kit. We used our FSA to cover them.

When we went, Bermuda was mandating that we test at the port. That has changed since.
