Hi Everyone! I decided to ask Farmacy about the “micro-plastic” question I keep getting and this is their response: “Please know that while Green Clean contains polyethylene, the amount is significantly low and is heated at a high temperature during processing, where it transforms into a waxy mixed compound that isn’t considered “plastic”. With that being said, our team is always researching and improving our formulas to make sure they live up to our customers’ standards!”
chloe temari Hi dear, saw your question and thought I could give my input as I have 3 teenage nieces. Firstly what’s your skin type? Dry, oily or combo? Combo dry or combo oily? Keep your skincare simple at this age. If u have breakouts ( common amongst teens) then use a mild cleanser first. If it’s oily use a foaming cleanser and if it’s dry use a hydrating cleanser. U don’t need a toner unless you are very dry ...if not use a hydrating toner to add moisture. Forget about Actives at this age. U can start that 20+ If u have pimples, start on a BHA to unclog the pores. Paula’s Choice 2%BHA is a saviour for teens and also for everyone including me at 46! U will see a big difference in your breakouts. Just pick 1 good serum ( any drugstore one) a moisturiser and a gooooood effective sunscreen. My nieces love Cerave Products. Your choice of products depend on your weather too. I can’t suggest other brands because I’m Not sure which country U are from. Hope this helps xx
@chloe temari Please follow @drdray she was way information that you will be able to understand and will recommend products that you can find at the drugstore
I WISH I would have had some really exciting, super active products to share but I kept it pretty chill in 2019. Tell me if you tried any of these products last year!
I started watching your channel this year and I literally became obsessed with watching these extremely informational videos. You have no idea how excited I was to learn more about good and healthy skincare since skin issues had ruled most of my middle school and high school years. Also I introduced a lot of friends and family members to better skin care habits and information all thanks to you! So thank you so much and also I love your sweater, where did you get it lol
2019 also the year I discovered Biossance...great line. It has defn elevated my skin care game. You look beautiful as always. Also share your opinion on DE C Firma.
Susan your channel is what got me to step up my skincare game in 2019. I attribute half of my day and night time routines to your video recommendations. I turned 30 in 2019 and felt like my skin needed some extra love. It started with the pmd pro rq, then I started using vitamin c with the Sunday Riley c.e.o. Glow serum, but now I’m trying the Drunk elephant one. I’m kind of easing my why into retinol so I started with the retinol alternative from biossance. I also, started introducing AHAs through my nighttime cleanser with the Kate Somerville Exfolikate (sp?). And for my moisturizer I only use the cerave moisturizing cream. I honestly feel like this is the best my skin has ever look and it’s because of you and the mixed makeup channel 😊
Thank you very much for your great reviews. I discovered your wonderful channel some months ago. I also purchased the PMD Clean Pro RQ a few weeks ago. It‘s fantastic! I only use it about 4 - 5 times a week. I’m 38 years old and my skin is partially sensitive. The cleansing brush is quite gentle and does a very good job and the rose quartz is very helpful when working with serums. I‘m trying out the Bakuchiol serum by Herbivore as a retinol alternative.
Hey Susan! I’ve found myself incorporating a lot of products into my skincare lately from brands like Elta MD , Skinceuticals, etc. - in short, the brands that you tend to often find at an aesthetician’s office. I would love to hear your thoughts on these brands and some of their “all star” products. For example, you mentioned DE Vitamin C Serum but what do you think Skinceuticals CE Ferulic? Or for sunscreens, Elta MD UV Clear sunscreen? Just curious - would love your thoughts!!
2019 was my year of SKINCARE. Starting with watching this channel. I stumbled upon this by accident due to a sudden chronic illness leaving me semi bed-ridden.. so here came RUclips and Susan! Now I have a whole routine and love all things skincare :). So THANK YOU Susan for bringing some extra joy into an otherwise difficult year.
I got a PMD Clean Pro for Christmas because these videos, I was super sad because I thought the warmth didn’t work..... until I watched this video and realized there is another button.... on the back. Could not believe myself but I just used it and I’m in love all over again.
2019 was my year to be converted to the double cleanse. I love you and the community you’ve created. I learn so much from our group. Can’t wait to see the products in store for us in 2020!
2019 was the year of my skincare, this was the year when I really got into it and started having a regular skincare routine rather than occasional cold cream. My skin has never looked better, it has completely changed, it is so much softer, even and even my hyperpigmenaton is fading away. Thank you Susan for really for helping me in this journey
I started double cleansing with the pharmacy green clean balm after you recommend it for those who don’t wear makeup and it has truly made my skin look so much more fresh.
I use retinol because of you and I cant thank you enough!! I went to my dermatologist and got a prescriptive one and it has taken all of my dark spots away, spots I have had since high school who knew this was going to be my answer!!! And that's thanks to YOU!!

I know you’re not really a fan of The Ordinary, Susan, but their cleansing balm is the most nourishing thing I’ve felt in a while. A stinging episode happened recently, and by mistake, I slathered the TO cleansing balm on the area. It immediately calmed down. I was shooktt. Been a fan ever since.
I love that you talked about what you used while pregnant! My husband and I are trying for a baby and I’m worried about giving up my retinol. Thank you for your recommendations!
The farmacy green clean actually has Polyethylene ( very common plastic). While it does not have it in the form of microbeads, it still washes off with water and goes into the water down the drain and it is not water soluble. I stopped recommending this product after I found out cause there are plastic-free cleansers out there that do the same thing. just a FYI for everyone.
Hi, I've studied Biochemistry. Polyethylene is not a plastic. It's a polymer, which can be used to make plastic, but can also exist in liquid form. As, it is an ingredient in the cleanser and not a solid, it is most likely a "GREEN POLYETHYLENE" which means it is derived from a degradable form such as fatty acids such as various vegetable oils, such as soybean, cotton, sugar etc. In skincare and makeup, polyethylene is used as a binder and dilutent. Although, not water soluble, it shouldn't raise any more concern to wildlife as any other chemical chains that get washed into the ocean
I looooove Shiseido's Waso sunscreen too! I am so happy someone finally talked about it 😭 I picked it up at a duty-free just for the fun of it and now I look forward to using it everyday!! It has completely changed my makeup game.
Avene and LRP have now come out with sterile packaging where air doesn’t go in and therefore the products contain no preservatives. I’ve tried a few of them and they are excellent!
1. shiseido Waso sunscreen 2. biossance omega moisturizer, 3) la roche tolariane 4)farmacy clean green are my favourite products that I also have been using in 2019! I would also recommend you to try vitamin c and b5 from la Roche and you will be amazed! :) Skyn products from Iceland are amazing, especially the cleanser and the eye patches!
I absolutely LOVE the biossance phyto-retinol serum. I personally haven’t had the best luck using retinol/retinoids as they can be harsh, so I went with this! Also, of the bakuchiol serums I have used... this one is by far the best. I feel incredibly validated knowing you love this product too! Lol
Susan I am so thankful for all the advice your channel provides! I am 20 years old with combination with hormonal acne and I want to incorporate a chemical exfoliant BHA into my morning skincare routine due having combo/acne prone skin, but I'm having trouble finding a powerful antioxidant serum compatible with salicylic acid. I considered using the BHA at night; however, I use niacinamide and retinol at night. I was thinking Hyaluronic Acid, Resveratrol and/or Ferulic Acid. I just want to make sure I am not layering products together that can cause irritation or inflammation. Thank you for making skin care a user friendly world.
Biossance products are life!!! Drunk elephant vitamin C is lit the best! I have used the Tatcha and summer Fridays ones and nothing bids the drunk elephant vitamin c. Thanks for sharing Susan ❣
I loovvvee my Krave products, and the other two products I found that I loved this year were the Tatcha One Step Camellia Oil cleanser and Paula's Choice Omega Moisturizer. It's such a good moisturizer, and it's basically a dupe for the drunk elephant la la retro whipped moisturizer.
when I saw Susan without makeup 😱wtf I had no idea her skin looked so good, and her face shape?? can't believe she is 40, she even looks younger like that
I love the Farmacy green clean cleansing balm, I quit using makeup wipes and started using the balm as my first step in a double cleanse thanks to you and my skin looks and feels so much better now!
I would love to see a brand review for SkinCeuticals (particularly the CE Ferulic serum, Hydrating B5 gel serum, Discoloration Defence serum and the Simply Clean cleanser)!!
Skin ceuticals has alot of reviews on dermstore. It's amazing as far as the vitamin c serum and the ferulic and the hydrating b5 serum. Also skin medica is amazing.
2019 was also my year of skincare! My ultimate routine: TIMY living cleansing balm, Krave MMHC, Primera Miracle seed essence, neogen real vita C serum, soon jung Hydro barrier cream and purito unscented centella SPF 50+. Just need a good retinol now that doesn't cost the earth.
I’ve tried a lot of first step cleansers, and my favorite is Then I Met You! And then their wash as well. It’s not cheap, but my birthday is coming up. 🎉 I’d love to try the Holifrog, though.
I have now tried the WASO tinted cream and by itself, it's ok. But today I mixed it with a pea-sized amount of Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench hyalouronic cloud cream and WOW! Best thing ever. A true no makeup makeup look with beautiful, even, hydrated skin. Just mix the two between my hands (2-3 pea-sized amounts of the Waso) and pat onto the face and neck, focusing on really massaging it into the nose and around the nose and mouth. SPF 30 too, so great 🙂👍
I bought Sunday Reilly’s glow set and I am so impressed! Especially CEO glow oil. My skin looks very clean and smooth... you recommend lactic acid serum in one of videos, that’s what triggered me to buy this set.
I started double cleansing because of your videos and picked up the Farmacy Cleansing Balm when you reviewed it. Love that product so much, it's changed my skin care game. Also the Shiseido color change moisturizer is pretty nice. I'm suuuuuper pale so it's actually slightly dark for me, but I like that it gives me a bit of a warm glow. Thanks for another great video Susan, I always learn so much
I really like the Biossance squalene-omega cream too. I alternate between that and Tatcha’s dewy cream - both sooooo luxurious and satisfying on my skin. Thanks for sharing your faves, Susan ✨
The versed skin soak I hated! ONLY because it does not sit well under SPF. It pills like nobodies business so I had to drop it from using on my face and neck in the AM. Worked well to hydrate though and the texture is fabulous for before bed when I traveled. 😊
I love the farmacy green clean , I re purchased it probably 4 times this year. I'm going to try the la roche posay moisturizer especially because I'm on the hunt for a moisturizer with a pump. Have you tried the super goop unseen sunscreen? I really like it.
2019 was the year I returned to skincare. I used to do the 10 step Korean skincare routine for years (before the west was even interested in anything Korean skincare) then stopped in 2015 for reasons I can't remember. Then I read about Brandon Truaxe death, and got curious about The Ordinary and then got right back into it.
Lori Kessler I could have gotten it for free the night of the event because they had gift bags and I FORGOT to grab one on the way out. No joke. I was in the car thinking I can’t wait to try it and then I realized. 😭
I have been seeing Holifrog so much this past year and I was iffy on it but since our skincare queen Susan said it was amazing so it must be amazing and now I'm going to get it 😂😍
@@-lys-8014 I was sad that my skin reacts to actives really easily and the Shasta wash, WOW I am in love, I can't use it everyday personally but its really nice to use like a couples times a week (When the windchill isn't -40). It makes my skin glowy and soft like what everyone in skincare talks about, without having a few days of actives recovery (ie: red face). Now I sound like a marketing scam but its a dream in a bottle for me.
👏🏼I use the Farmacy cleansing balm as well and absolutely LOVE IT!!! A little gos along way! Great product, I use it ever night to melt away the pounds of makeup 😂 👏🏼 Great for my sensitive skin 😇
Disagee 😉. The Genus sleeping collagen is a must in my winter night time routine. Tried it from your dedicated video on it and I’ve never found anything like it for my extra dry winter skin!! Thanks.

For anyone curious, I've always had trouble with sunscreens (I'm in the US) but have found Klairs Airy UV Essence to be a holy grail product!! Like Krave it absorbs so well and never gives me any problems - I order on WishTrend and cannot recommend enough!!!
i Love Farmacy's make up removing balm BUT i just hate opening the jar and dipping my finger in. i wish they could make that into a pump. but it is my absolutely favorite cleaning balm. i have been trying biossance serum & moisturizer and been enjoying it. i absolutely LOVE kravebeauty, using their great barrier relief & oat so simple cream and my skin just LOVE their products. I can't wait to try their cleanser & spf! Thanks for the great video!

Waso is the best!! I have used both versions and love it . I use it as my foundation , with a toddler you need a great multitasking product that works .
Been using Waso for the past 4 months I believe, when you mentioned it in another video...I am very light toned, it does look a little bit darker then my skin when I first apply, but it still looks fantastic, and my other products apply great on top. I have completely stopped using foundation. I find a little goes a very long way; I am still using the first tube (I don't do my makeup everyday). Thanks for sharing 😘

Very curious about the Holifrog Shasta AHA Refining Acid Wash... is this something that could potentially replace my AHA toner? Looking to simplify my routine but still defniently want to keep AHA's in there somewhere. Thanks, Susan!

Thank you, I enjoy all of your videos. Could you recommend me or do a video about cheap/affordable great sunscreens and serums? Thank you!
Ok, as a pregnant mamma, ive been using Ponds rejuveness (usa sourced!) For aging, and it's worked wonders! I use it as my night cream, and the ingredients are all pregnancy safe, so yay! Affordable, too! Os it fragrance free? No. Is it bougie/fancy? Heck no. But it helps with wrinkles while making that baby!

It's such a good moisturizer, and it's basically a dupe for the drunk elephant la la retro whipped moisturizer.
when I saw Susan without makeup 😱wtf I had no idea her skin looked so good, and her face shape?? can't believe she is 40, she even looks younger like that
Love going back to products after we get side track trying new products!
I love the Farmacy green clean cleansing balm, I quit using makeup wipes and started using the balm as my first step in a double cleanse thanks to you and my skin looks and feels so much better now!
LOVE. I MEAN. LOVE. The Beet Shied. My favorite sunscreen! Also. I love their cleanser!
Waso sunscreen is great, it works on olive skin and it just takes a few minutes to absorb in the beginning but later it looks amazing.
Thanks for the love and support!
I would love to see a brand review for SkinCeuticals (particularly the CE Ferulic serum, Hydrating B5 gel serum, Discoloration Defence serum and the Simply Clean cleanser)!!
Skinceutical serum is top tier
WOW ITS RUSS Their the vitamin c is from another world 😱
@@MySweetiii yeah but its to rich for my blood. I'm trying out "Mad Hippie Skin Care Products 1.02 Fluid Ounce Vitamin C Serum"
Is purito sunscreen good?
I’ve tried a lot of first step cleansers, and my favorite is Then I Met You! And then their wash as well. It’s not cheap, but my birthday is coming up. 🎉 I’d love to try the Holifrog, though.
If you can get Holifrog it really makes a huge difference in cleansing imo, even the 1 min and 2 min cleansing method helps a lot.
I just started the double clearance with the Then I Met You 2 weeks ago. So far liking....not sure it’s my favorite....
i just got married and had a tonne of events and the farmacy cleansing balm was amazing - thanks for the rec!
SPF 30 too, so great 🙂👍
I use that French toner that was or maybe is all the rave. It’s an odd one but it’s my ride or die for life!
Which one?
Caudalie?
Biologique Recherche?
It’s the biologique recherge. The original!!
Thanks for another great video Susan, I always learn so much
Layna That’s good to know about the color!
Krave + Biossance = 💜💜💜
I'd love to try Holifrog! Such cute packaging also. Great video- I 💙 your makeup.
I really like the Biossance squalene-omega cream too. I alternate between that and Tatcha’s dewy cream - both sooooo luxurious and satisfying on my skin. Thanks for sharing your faves, Susan ✨
I have the pmd, the sleeping collagen and the waso cream. All thanks to you!
We're hope you're loving the Personal Microderm!
The versed skin soak I hated! ONLY because it does not sit well under SPF. It pills like nobodies business so I had to drop it from using on my face and neck in the AM. Worked well to hydrate though and the texture is fabulous for before bed when I traveled. 😊
Could you talk about expiration dates on skin care and makeup? What products you must throw out, which ones are still safe to use, etc?
I love the farmacy green clean , I re purchased it probably 4 times this year. I'm going to try the la roche posay moisturizer especially because I'm on the hunt for a moisturizer with a pump. Have you tried the super goop unseen sunscreen? I really like it.
Love love LOVE the Krave beauty Beet shield!
I’m obsessed with the cherry green clean, I bought back-ups 😅
Lori Kessler I could have gotten it for free the night of the event because they had gift bags and I FORGOT to grab one on the way out. No joke. I was in the car thinking I can’t wait to try it and then I realized. 😭
Can you do an updated night time and morning skin care routine for 2020? With which products you use in the morning and at night ❤️
I have been seeing Holifrog so much this past year and I was iffy on it but since our skincare queen Susan said it was amazing so it must be amazing and now I'm going to get it 😂😍
I totally agree with Susan the Holifrog cleansers are effective and feel really nice, its a total game changer for me!
Is the Holifrog Shasta AHA Wash also working well on sensitive skin?
@@-lys-8014 I was sad that my skin reacts to actives really easily and the Shasta wash, WOW I am in love, I can't use it everyday personally but its really nice to use like a couples times a week (When the windchill isn't -40). It makes my skin glowy and soft like what everyone in skincare talks about, without having a few days of actives recovery (ie: red face). Now I sound like a marketing scam but its a dream in a bottle for me.
Amanda Wong Thank you so much for your reply. Maybe I will try it out as well then. :)
C-firma for the win! Makes me excited about trying other Drunk Elephant products cause this one is just so good
Thank you so much for helping me transform my skincare routine! This is my HOLY GRAIL channel!
Absolutely love the Waso colorsmart ..on my 3rd tube best skincare recommendation from you in 2019! Thank you Susan!!
👏🏼I use the Farmacy cleansing balm as well and absolutely LOVE IT!!! A little gos along way! Great product, I use it ever night to melt away the pounds of makeup 😂 👏🏼 Great for my sensitive skin 😇
I absolutely loove the vitamin C from DE, biossance moisturizer and algenist collagen (love how it feels on my skin)👌🏼
What skintype do you have?
The Algenist one has transformed my skin and I swear by it now 🤙🏻
I found out that I love moisturizers with squalane as well! 😊
You are the most informative person for skincare here on youtube!! Xxx addicted to your videos
Susan!!! That sweater is everything!
Disagee 😉. The Genus sleeping collagen is a must in my winter night time routine. Tried it from your dedicated video on it and I’ve never found anything like it for my extra dry winter skin!! Thanks.
I used Toleriane ultra because of you last year and its truly truly amazing. thank you Susan! I love watching you. I will be trying holifrog and versed next.
Who else loves the top? 💙💛
It’s so cute, especially with her eye look!
It's $375 😭😭😭😭
@@kumottakun6089 jfc, I don't understand how anyone justifies prices like that. 0.0
@Farah Ng I don't know, there's probably some out there that looks just like it. I just followed the link on the description box to check out where she got the sweater. Haha
@Farah Ng omg 😂😂😂😂 it's high fashion ikea, now that you mention it 😂
For anyone curious, I've always had trouble with sunscreens (I'm in the US) but have found Klairs Airy UV Essence to be a holy grail product!! Like Krave it absorbs so well and never gives me any problems - I order on WishTrend and cannot recommend enough!!!
Hi!!! Please do a video on lip care. No matter what I use, my lips peel and I would love to know what you think is best.
I need this too.
Yay love the farmacy green clean! So sad I missed out on the limited edition jumbo size sephora had around Christmas.
i Love Farmacy's make up removing balm BUT i just hate opening the jar and dipping my finger in. i wish they could make that into a pump. but it is my absolutely favorite cleaning balm. i have been trying biossance serum & moisturizer and been enjoying it. i absolutely LOVE kravebeauty, using their great barrier relief & oat so simple cream and my skin just LOVE their products. I can't wait to try their cleanser & spf! Thanks for the great video!
What moisturizer do you use at night and what to use in the morning??
Hope to hear back thank you for this info!
I really want to try Biossance after seeing you talk about it
I was really hoping you would do this video! It’s always fun to hear about what skincare items people PERSONALLY love and use! Also, can you PLEASSSE do a video on Pitera? Or I think it’s called Galactomysis??? I spelled that wrong for sure. For example SKII. It’s very popular and I wanted you to do a video on that! Also curious how it is for people with sensitive skin or if you’ve ever tried it?!!
Her hair is beautiful. It really compliments her complexion.
We need all categories 😭 fave eye cream, fave syrum , etc next video please 🙏❤️
Hi Susan, great video. I was surprised not seeing Augustinus Bader’s moisturizer, as you were so positive about this cream in your pregnancy skincare video.
Looking forward to more skincare in 2020
Cheers
J G I honestly loved it but I didn’t shell out for another bottle of it, so I didn’t want to say it was a favorite yet. I’ve been thinking about buying it again though!
@@SusanYara Thank you for the quick answer. I asked because I bought this cream after your review. I heard about it before but your review was the final confirmation I needed. I switched from LaMer. I'm very happy with it, and as a guy I don't wear makeup so this is my second last step before SPF and it gives me the nice glow. I also bought the rich formula for my mum and she likes it as well.
i recently discovered your channel and i totally love it! i’m learning so much more about skincare & im working on building a skincare routine. so glad i found your videos while i’m young (17) rather than trying to treat serious problems when i’m 40 lol!
Waso is the best!! I have used both versions and love it . I use it as my foundation , with a toddler you need a great multitasking product that works .
someone mentioned how beautiful your hair is on another video and now I can't stop looking at it. wow
Have you tried any of the other products from the Versed brand??? I want to try their precleanser?
Love this video!!! 2020 is the year for clear skin
Thanks for posting this I have extremely dry skin and I need a hydrating moisturizer!😊😊
I currently use Farmacy cherry balm! Love it! ❤🍒❤🍒❤🍒
You know I’m about to cop all of them 😩😩
You have become my new favorite skincare queen! Your passion shows and you make me want to spend all of the money I don't have! Very curious about the Holifrog Shasta AHA Refining Acid Wash... is this something that could potentially replace my AHA toner? Looking to simplify my routine but still defniently want to keep AHA's in there somewhere. Thanks, Susan!
Recently just discovered your channel!
Can't wait to try your tips.
If possible I'd appreciate a review of TULA products, specifically eye balms♥️
Love the video, cant wait for the SASS series to return 😁😊
Biossance moisturizer and the algenist collagen have been in my top faves. Looking forward to try the shiseido one and that cleanser.
She is so beautiful and her skin looks flawless 😍
I've had my PMD for over a year and I never realized the back warmed up!!!!!! My mind is blown
I've always been interested in skin care but I have to admit that I always thought that it was something expensive and with you I learnt that it's not that way always! Thank you, I enjoy all of your videos. Could you recommend me or do a video about cheap/affordable great sunscreens and serums? Thank you!
I became convinced to try the Beet Shield lol I have yet to find a good sunscreen yet :(. Wish me luck! Thank you so much for the reviews Susan!
I have been looking forward to this video so so so much!!! Yay 🤗 we share some favorites! I can’t wait to receive the PMD brush.
Hi Susan! I am a HUGE fan of yours! Whenever I am curious about a product and want to research more about it I always visit your channel! I was wondering if you could provide a skincare routine for dry, texturized and uneven skin tone, I would greatly appreciate it!! Also, I came across a brand called Good Molecules, do you have any reviews on it?
Thanks for always being so great!!!
