51:15 If the bridge was built in 1986, a 62 year old man cannot have used it all his life. 🤔
@blehkelekwet9642 he time traveled?
I was on Fletcher (DD 992) when this happened, this incident occurred during a Tow and be Towed Exercise. Both ships were damaged but returned to port under their own power. This was an graded evolution and required demonstration of ship handling and deck (men manning the towing gear) proficiency and the assessing command (Afloat Training Group ATG) was onboard. Neither Captain was relieved of their command.
No one was relieved? That's interesting. I thought the Navy was quite strict about mishaps. A carrier once got stuck on a sandbar in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sandbars move and grow, so their location and depth constantly change. And yet the captain was relieved of command.(bummer)
In the case of the Fletcher, was this contact considered just a part of what needs to be learned for this exercise, or was there some sort of penalty?
@@gregparrott no, the contact was not intended, the video filmed by a sailor on the Downes “blames” the Fletcher, but Fletcher was technically the stand on vessel (receiving the shot-line to hull over the tow line) before moving ahead and taking the other vessel under tow. What happened is when the Downes (a Knox class frigate), with one clockwise screw and single rudder, made the pass on Fletchers stern it walked its stern, by action of the single screw, towards Fletcher. When Fletcher put on a backing bell, made turns on its twin screws and full rudder, the two ships created the “venturi effect” that moved them together(collision).
The investigation found no “loss of confidence” in either CO and the incident was a combination of circumstances that made the contact unavoidable during the constraints of a graded exercise.
The CO of Fletcher at the time was CDR Kendall who was a CAPT Select (selected and approved for promotion to CAPT). He would later make Rear Admiral and become one of the first black Surface Warfare Officer of flag rank.
@@sirwholland7 Thank you for the detailed reply
@@gregparrott I wondered about it too, as I lived in the SF Bay Area in 1983 when the carrier ran aground and they cashiered the captain. Navigating at the time was a harbor pilot, and conditions were windy with low visibility. I always thought it was a mistake to relieve the captain, but I seem to recall other such incidents that make me wonder if it was Navy policy at the time.
Yes, they are called tugboats; while the great big boats are actually ships. Ignorance just bothers the hell out of me.
…and they are containers not boxes
A “maneuver that police use.” You mean Pit maneuver?
then you should be a teacher and not a commentator as nobody listens to them
First of, you are all fools! He obviously does it to force engagement in the comments, a trick as old as YT itself!
They should give those little boats with all those tyres, that push other boats around, a name 🤔....💡I got it!!! .... tug boat!
Landlubbers!!!
Nah that does not sound right. Jack meoff pull boat
yes, the expert commentary here. I also liked them not saying where the two barges were? Disliked.
Wow you're a genius!
Yes there called tug boats
13:42 You might want to check the definition of “almost”
Just like when at 16:38 he calls the U.S.S Fletcher a battleship. The U.S.S. Missouri BB 63 is a battleship.
Ain't AI the dumbest thing you Ever heard? 🤔 😂😂

Anyone else notice that there were A LOT of repeat instances of the exact same incidents played multiple times over during the videos runtime?
Yes. I noticed.
Yeah the one about the truck catching the foot bridge over the highway immediately stuck out to me.
While the flying truckdriver is not in the video… clickbait.
Yup, definitely not the only one.
Nope, I bailed out very early.
37:23 That "it damn shore did son" is the best comment from a bystander ever!
interesting pronunciation of bitumen (bi
chuh muhn). Took me a bit to work out what he was talking about.
🤣
It gives us something to bi chuh about, muhn.

Well maybe just maybe that batch was actually a failure as the ingredient controller may have screwed it up in the first place-might be he/she drank too much of their own product. Worth more Dead on the floor than the profit it was intended to produce? Even Wino's might be scamming the Insurance Companies, why not blame it on the ships/ port lift. Saying it was a PREMIUM Selection and longley aged who would test the wine on the floor?
I was thinking the same thing! Only I don't drink anymore.

The narrator has a very interesting interpretation of the term 'relatively minor damage '.
The narrator just read a texts,😅 the writer ✍️ have to do it the write way!
The whole video is littered with factual errors.
@paulegladu4963 So the narrator does not preread for mistakes? Not good
And the pronunciation of bitumen (he said bite a min).
when the coast guard needs rescue
The tipping coast guard ship had no ballast in an attempt to make launching easier. It backfired.
And/or an engineer grossly miscalculated required ballast for launching, or could also be explained by valve misalignment allowing the ballast water to flow to the stern allowing far too buoyancy in the forward sections. Or like you said, idiots with the ‘no ballast at all’ bright idea and the engineers didn’t engage their brains for a half a second for a quick logic check.
That's what I was thinking 🤔surly you would think twice about launching the ship if you weren't shaw everything was perfect
Seeingstuff like this in person would leave you scarred for life!!!
Did you see the video of two guys trapped in a burning wind generator? They didnt show the graphic part (jumping to their death), but yeah. That kept me awake for a while.

A ship from “Mexico City”? Show me on a map where Mexico City’s port is. I’ll wait.
Also, Georgetown University is in Washington DC, not Malaysia.
You must be watching a different video. There is no mention whatsover of a University in the clip from Malaysia. The Weld Quay pedestrian bridge was in George Town the capital of the island of Penang - maps.app.goo.gl/vL7K9Tbg2N6JbYzY9
The university one was the FIU-Sweetwater pedestrian bridge in Miami which collapsed in 2018.
@jwayneair But a quick Google search shows that they have a Georgetown, Penang Campus, in Malaysia.Georgetown University aims to be a global university apparantly.
There is no mention in that clip of any University. In any case the Penang Campus is nowhere near the former Weld Quay pedestrian bridge in George Town (not Georgetown) the capital of Penang Island - maps.app.goo.gl/ZExBMRhxcH39JYAEA
The missing span after its removal - maps.app.goo.gl/WUt5jY3i52Ftvrev5
He did say "from Mexico City" but the name of the ship was Mexico City. Just search for APL Mexico City.
I hear ya, @35:12 Minutes Wind Turbine on fire yet NONE of the other Turbines were even moving. I said Foul Play or Fowl Play either was the Turbine was successfully destroyed. Have a great week 4/29/24 J Wayne

It's Mo-Beel Alabama, rhymes with heel.
Then it should be spelled Beel, because it’s not, the narrators pronunciation is correct.
@@woody5109 No, it's Mo-Beel like rickmatthews322 said: Either the narrator here in this video isn't a real human -- it's an AI generated voice and it doesn't know how humans pronounce words regardless of spelling (especially true in American English) or, it IS a real human (he sounds real) but just an uneducated/ignorant one.
As for AI, all it can do is pronounce words how it's spelled (as you said) and that's a give-away it's AI. It's just an ignorant machine (software). But if this guy IS human, he likely doesn't have a clue he's wrongly pronouncing this American city.
RUclips as quite a few AI-narrated videos, and one clue is all the mispronunciations -- it's laughable.
So no, it's NOT Mobile...it's Mo-Beel.
BTW, Mobile AL isn't going to change it's spelling for the ignorant/clueless speaker no matter who or what it is -- a human or a machine.
-- BR
The English language has many things spelled differently than how it is pronounced.... it is still is pronounced "mo-beel" no matter what the spelling is. .
It's speculated that the cost of replacing the turbine was more than fixing the gear??? DUH!!! SMH
I know, right?!!! That was the stupidest comment that I've ever heard.
The good news is replacing the turbine fixed the gear problem. :)

The script is AI generated I think
Whoever edited this vid wasn’t very careful.
I counted one video repeated 3 times from different viewpoints,
And 2 more videos that were repeated 2 times.
Farming views and view time. Longer video=more commercials
Do not be mis-led by RUclips. Its primary purpose is NOT to function as a social media platform. There is too little money in that when compared with the money that can be made functioning as an advertising medium. Some RUclips accounts deliberately create videos that will attract a large following so the uploaders can get more money from RUclips. A lot of what we see here seems to be led by "advertising potential". I do not object to RUclips making money. Once people have decided they will run a business, not a charity, the better the bottom line the better everyone involved will feel about the venture. But I do object to RUclips allowing uploaders to make money for themselves by creating videos that actually spread very doubtful but popular material, thereby making money for RUclips. The frauditor phenomenon will have caused an enormous amount of disturbance and expense for the bodies targeted by frauditors, as well as a great deal of stress for any members of the public or employees of the targets who happen to get caught up in the frauditors' activity.
This particular video is at the least offensive end of what can happen, but that does not make it right.
... and don't forget the "Huge Container Ship from Mexico City" .. must have been quite a hell of a ride down from 7,349, or 2, 240 meters above sea level to sea level

After viewing numerous short vids, I'm convinced, more than ever, that a short "How To Shoot A Video," DVD should be included with the purchase of every camera and phone. What we're forced to watch on some of these RUclips & other's videos are the saddest attempts of camera work I've ever witnessed. One would think that common sense would say, hold the camera strady. Oops, my error. I fotgot, there is no common sense anymore.

Very nicely done👍👍👍😀
And putting the same clip in multiple times, not just once...
36:24 I’m pretty sure the city Mobile is pronounced mo-beel. Like automobile.
Not like mobile homes.
Actually its named after mobile homes. look it up it started of as a trailer park.
Thank you! I thought I was the only one to catch that!
And the phonetic pronunciation is not '' MO- BEEL '' But - '' MO- BILL ''....
Whilst on the subject of pronunciation - Here this narrator pronounces - bitumen - '' BYE - TOO - MEN '' -
Where everyone I know pronounces the word - '' BIT - CHEW- MEN ''
But then you yanks have a problem in pronouncing any word with an 'I' in it...
Ex: '' EYE - RACK, EYE-RAN, V - EYE - TEE - MEN ...'' Or the classic - AL -YEW - MIN - UM ....
Where they leave the internal 'I' out altogether...
So, technically - Yanks should pronounce ISRAEL - '' EYE - SH -RAIL ''... Oooh, but that would upset the Zionist fascists.
Yeah, yeah... TO-MATE - O - TO- MAH -TO.
If you live there it's pronounced Moe.-'BEE-ul", with a silent gap after Moe, emphasis on the "BEE", and no palate is used on the "L" (called a light L, clear L, or a lazy-L). If you aren't born with a Southern drawl, you'll probably never be able to pronounce it correctly.
Ya'll haffa my-dee fine day!
The truck is toast!
Shipping containers carrying ur coffee, beans, kids. Yeah, Its not a misprint. 🤮

@59:00 mark - the end dump trailer did not topple over because of hydraulic lift failure, as it did not drop because they failed. The load, if not lifted gradually and allowed for the product in the nose of the trailer to flow or exit below the center point of gravity, the top, being too heavy, will topple the trailer over onto its side.
You should get your facts straight by doing a bit of research to understand what is happening, and that way you can correctly educate the viewers.
Yeah, you're 100% right, but this guy here knows no sh!t about the stuff he's talking about. As they say, "he's saying what he knows, but that doesn't mean he knows what he's saying". A split rim on a truck wheel gave way nearly killing that poor Chinese guy, and he's talking about "controlling pressure" and riding on properly inflated wheels. A "em-oh-ar-oh-en", simply speaking.
"Education"? All he cares is clicks, views, and YT ad money, and fork the facts...
you do know you review some clips twice richt...

If dude remembers when the bridge was built he hadn't been using it his whole life come on now
No cows were injured in the bridge collapse in India.
Don’t think the white bucket that rolled across deck was to blame for this but then again who the hell knows?
When something is on the absolute limit of it's integral capacity, it doesn't take much to tip the balance. But I'm inclined to agree that the bucket wasn't the contributing factor.
The Carnival cruise ship that came adrift was the same ship from the famous "Poop cruise".This doomed ship had a fire,a malfunction of the sewage system, and then went adrift.

One correction, Danmark's wind turbines now produce 46.8% of it's energy and biomass is at 11.2. Wind turbines are not perfect, there is no 'perfect' method to produce energy but turbines do work and birds quickly learn to create flying corridors to avoid collisions. It's funny how the same OLD video of a wind turbine self destroying in high winds gets shown over and over again when in fact, it's rare. I live in Danmark and turbines are part of the landscape, the people who allow them on their land also benefit energy wise and monetarily by the selling of excess power to the utility companies. When you consider that Orkaner (Hurricanes) and very strong winds are common in Danmark I would say despite that, a turbine being destroyed by wind is very rare.
Could you educate someone here in the states about windmills? While you're at it, please tell him Greenland is not for sale.
@@gregparrottlol
Dude, you need to check your facts. 1) the truck with the "excessive load" wasn't overloaded, the load was wet. 2) The mall in Mexico city was damaged by an earthquake, and that's why you see the red tape blocking the section that was damaged
That guy at 1:04:57 had no business not wearing a hard hat in that area. Obviously no health & safety procedures
The tugboat that fell into the ocean had cables too short on the W hook. It overloaded them.

Creep Caught, Subscribed because your content is fantastic!
The Craine falling over at 55:08 shows a man at the front right tread. He runs to the rear of the crane and never leaves it, which means he went down with the crane into the depths and most likely ran into the crane to warn others, which would make him a hero or a fool for not recognizing the danger.
You have any idea how lucky that cameraman was that those tires didn't explode when the asphalt at 350 degrees hit them?
Quote from 51:05: "The person who recorded the video, Bunzi Sabima, who is 62 years old, had been using that bridge his whole life. He clearly remembers when it was built in 1986." - DUDE WAS BORN IN 1962.
Remember that old saying "Life begins at 40"? It must be it😂😂😂
51:54 Ironic that the garbage that they allowed to enter into the river released upon the collapse of that bridge. Humans are killing the oceans. Got trash? just throw it into the river. It's the oceans problem. ok, what happens when that trash piles up on the bridges downstream? It puts stress on the bridge and contributes to the bridge becoming overwhelmed and collapses.

I hope the authorities managed to locate him/her.
@@joecarr9476 In China you cannot buy a car, motorcycle or even a scooter without a valid drivers license. The dealers can't sell vehicles to unlicensed drivers. To get a drivers license in China you have to legally reside there and show proof of residence, usually your Hankou (your internal passport). "The precision and strength of these machines is stunning!"
Both captains of the barges that collided DIDN'T mess up, the one with the camera DID. Rules of the road state specifically that the vessel on the RIGHT has the right of way. The one with the camera should have either stopped, OR maneuvered to PORT to avoid the collision.
Easy way to tell is the running lights on a ship are GREEN on the Starboard (right) side and RED on the Port (left) side. IF you are looking at RED, you are to give way. IF you are looking at GREEN, you are required to maintain course and speed.
Don't try to argue, because I was an Operations Specialist in the U.S. Navy, and one of our jobs was harbor navigation. WE HAD TO KNOW THE RULES OF THE ROAD to maintain qualifications. It is the same GLOBALLY...
"Right has the right" (of way). Theoretically, it is true for land traffic, except that hardly anyone seems to know it. 😑
Those "small boats with truck tires on the outside" are tugboats. That situation could have used a few more.
At 59:14 That dump truck tipping over had nothing to do with the hydraulics...... when you raise the bed on a dump truck if all the contents don't come out, the stuff left closest to the top will make the dump truck top heavy causing it to tip over. That is exactly what happened in this incident. I've worked for three different dump trucking companies and they all explain do not lift your bed without checking the contents.
Subbed because your voice isn’t annoying and you seem to take care to pronounce things properly (most of the time). And of course bc your content is good.
It’s AI voice.

Ah yes, only the finest wines will be packed in a huge bladder before export lol.
The Minnesota bridge collapse happened at August 1, 2007 not 2008
Sorry but the incident with the wine container is not a reason to reevaluate the shipping method, one accident doesn’t mean the shipping method is wrong, if it was occurring on a regular basis then it would be prudent to look at the shipping method but not after one accident.
The cargo ship hitting the fishing vessel @ 13:10+ looked, at least to me, that it was a huge shark or Megladon trying to swallow the fishing vessel.
The two ships @ 14:10+ did not “almost” collide, they most definitely DID collide.
The two ships captains involved in the ship collision @ 18:20 are probably commanding a desk in the artic, they are ultimately responsible whether or not they were in control of their respective vessels at the time.
30:30 this video has some really highly educated workers in it! 😂 Who thought lifting an appliance with a little fork lift then by a bigger fork lift would ever end well? 😳

I highly doubt the captain's who ignored each other were fired, because there's a high demand for ship captain's.
The barges that crashed 5:00 were on the open sea. Oh but good thing they were near a port to get help fast.
ALL Ships have a green light, on the righthand side, when facing the front of the ship, and a red light on the other side, which are indicating, if you have the right to move forward, or you have to let the other ship move forward first. So there is only one ship at fault, the rules are very clear about this. In this situation, if the video is not flipped, the small ship sees a green light, and the big ship sees a red light, there will/can never be a situation, where both ships, sees a green or red light, at the same time. The ships will always see a different light than the other ship.
At sea, if two boats are approaching each other, the boat that has the other on its starboard (right) side must give way 😊
I'm watching that ship launch at 27:00 and thinking "I don't think I'd want to be standing that close to a line under that much tension, because. .

You have pictures of Georgetown University in Washington DC while talking about Georgetown Malaysia.
This video should be called SHIPPING DISASTERS....
36:25
It's pronounced Mo-beel.

Also known as a “telihandler.”
A telihandler would have been the optimal lifting equipment, but then there are those who know better and will try to save time and money, and do it their (sure fire failure) way.
So you talk about Georgetown Malaysia while showing a street scene that is clearly from the US, based on the road signs, kinds of vehicles and the fact that the cars are driving on the right side of the road where in Malaysia the cars drive on the left. Looks like you initially showed Georgetown in Washington DC perhaps.
13:00-13:078 Fortunatelly the Apollo was unmanned. Nobody was hurt.

8:48 The sight of two ships colliding at sea is truly shocking and alarming. The cause of the collision appears to be due to the failure to drop the anchor to keep the ships in place. This is a serious act of negligence on the part of the captain and crew. It is unacceptable that such a fundamental action as dropping the anchor was overlooked, leading to such severe consequences.
Thanks for all the amazing videos you've shared with me (us) creap cault on camera keep them coming.
Im so glad those two ships didn't collide.
